641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 28, 2014, 10:36:21 PM
You welcome to read the thread and see that plenty of people reported forging blocks on their own nodes.
But they are not on blockchain - because there is no blockchain  Cry
Yeah this is false. People have forked and forged blocks on their own forks previously, it was part of the problem we were having.
Your problem is that your network is not decentralized, your POT forging/consensus algo failed.   Angry
I many times told you that there is something wrong with your code. Tongue
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 28, 2014, 09:51:28 PM
You can always download Crypti nodes and run them yourself, however once Foundation nodes come back up, the blockchain consensus will take your fork to what the majority of nodes agrees. This is very similar to how NXT (or any other crypto for the matter) works as well.
Without open source or some verifiable math of your forging algo such statements are appropriate in some religious temple.  Angry Why we have to believe you?  Roll Eyes
Fact is: nobody managed to forge a block without your servers.  Cry
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 28, 2014, 08:59:53 PM
Was it stopped Intentionally? How can you stop a decentralized network Intentionally? is it decentralized?

Foundation own nodes where stopped, which form for the moment the majority of Crypti network.
So Crypti was never made a decentralized crypto  Angry
What a discovery!  Shocked
All this bs about everybody can forge with 1000 coins was lie? Because nobody can forge without this mysteruous "own nodes"?  Huh

I'm actually certain that you, as NXT early adopter, is quite accustomed to a changing code Smiley :
https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/commits/all

Just look through the last 2 months commits and see how many NXT core changes you can spot (comments with "blocks", "peers", "rollback" and so on).
Do you remember NXT network was down >4 days?  Tongue No, because maximum was 2. So your argument is irrelevant. Roll Eyes
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 28, 2014, 03:25:22 PM
Keep in mind, we have posted an entire write-up on how the system is meant to work. You are more than welcome to try to "restart" and come up with a solution. We are always open to input from the community. The problem is that in order to use node-uptime as a property in our system, all nodes must send out requests saying they are alive with specific information and those requests must all get accepted and confirmed through the network with consensus and must do it in a 60 second timeframe. If you have any idea what that means, it's not an easy task, especially when you start incorporating slow connections, systems with different time settings (which we saw when we added windows), and attacks on nodes disrupting the entire system.
Now it sounds like POT is simply impossible to implement  Cry

I think its not bad that devs are changing code. Why? Because they might come up with something much better.

That only means the network is evolving.

No worries here!
But on the other hand changing code means:
if devs knew that the code was bad but used it - this "network" was only a demo (not beta, not alfa) and may be it must be restarted;  Roll Eyes
if devs discovered that code was bad only now - there is no guarantee that their new code will not be bad again, this is incompetence.  Angry
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 27, 2014, 09:30:11 AM
by fundamentally re-thinking a component of how our PoT algorithm is doing the weight calculations.
So you are changing one buggy closed source algorithm to another?  Roll Eyes
Are you experimenting on stakeholders?  Huh
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 26, 2014, 07:21:32 PM
I heard NXT has or will have some mechanizm to prevent one account from forging all blocks.  Roll Eyes
Has Qora something like that? Huh
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 26, 2014, 05:32:01 PM
There is nothing I can do if there is a longer chain being made.
How that can be? Huh
What forging algo can wipe a week of blockchain? Shocked
Thats unbelivable!  Angry

Any account can get a commission, even if it is not on account of coins.
There is no proof of that  Sad

Forging for several days - no blocks found Cry
How with closed sourse we can know that devs are not forgin for themselves? Huh
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 26, 2014, 08:46:14 AM
Are there some useful assets in Qora or only jokes?  Huh

653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Robbed more than 100,000 NXT on: September 22, 2014, 08:44:41 PM
Oh, not Bible but russian constitution?  Shocked

Password weak -> money loss. Can not do nothing.  Cry

If NXT password system is so weak why we do not see hacking of >10M accounts? (Bter or Klee were hacked not because of password)  Roll Eyes
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti | XCR | Ͼ | 3 PoS algorithms | Ed25519 | 2nd Gen Source on: September 22, 2014, 02:46:42 PM
The only thing my client (0.1.6c) is doing - constantly recyncing  Cry
Can not forge, can not receive Crypti  Angry

Has anyone had a chance to upgrade and get 0.1.6c running? We want to ensure we aren't seeing the syncing and other issues people were noting in the previous version.
Cubietruck still starting ~1 hour, somehow i have no button for forging panel on VPS - had to edit config to make it forging  Roll Eyes
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypti - XCR - Ͼ - 3 PoS algorithms - Ed25519 - Next Gen New Source - Launched! on: September 11, 2014, 11:04:49 PM
Why db file is so huge?  Huh
More than 100Mb for some months and very little transacrions.  Sad
NXT db now is less than 500Mb   Cool

How much time has NXT had to optimize their code? How much time have we had?

If i remember correct, at the same time NXT db was much less than Crypti, so your argument is not valid.  Tongue
