1  Economy / Service Announcements / Is it possible to buy 1 bitcoin for 5 Mexican pesos? on: December 02, 2018, 10:20:48 AM
In fact, it is. Now you can buy a collection of rare Mexican banknotes, issued between 1865 and 1914, for BTC at ValueHunters.club

Mexican banknotes in their appearance and beauty resemble finished paintings that can be looked at for hours; there is something special about them, something that draws you in. There are more than 250 Mexican and Latin American banknotes in the collection now, some of them are the only ones in such excellent condition and with such high grades assigned by PMG.

There are portraits of prominent Mexican politicians and public officials on the front side of the banknotes, while the reverse side depicts historical events, old and modern architectural monuments.

All of the banknotes were  printed by the legendary ABNC – American Banknote Company – in the best traditions of intaglio printing and embossing. The format is large  – 185x82 mm.

All of the banknotes were graded by PMG (Paper Money Guaranty), the world’s largest third-party paper money grading service.

It took more than 5 years to build this collection. Many of the banknotes are unique and it is impossible to buy those at public or even sealed bid auctions.

Not only each banknote but the whole collection is unique. It may even be the only one of a kind. What’s more, the only place where it can be purchased is ValueHunters.club.

You can find some of the banknotes in our Banknotes Category

To learn more information about the collection, you may leave a request on the website
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is my opinion on crypto states? on: September 14, 2018, 03:44:51 AM

I get this question from time to time and I want to give a really detailed answer. First of all, what can a crypto state do this or next year? Protect its citizens in the real physical world? No. Crypto states have no power resources. Can crypto states protect their borders? Again, no. A crypto state can issue laws but it has no power to force people to abide by these laws. The only punishment crypto states can impose on those users who violate the laws is to ban them from the system. If the system is quite popular, this kind of punishment may be effective.

I’ll give an example: I know entrepreneurs who run their business on Facebook. So, if Facebook bans them, it’ll result in a serious damage to their business. As a result, these guys pay close attention to the content they publish on Facebook, YouTube and other social media. At the same time, it’s quite the opposite in the crypto community – most of its members like to violate rules. Any crypto network, including Bitcointalk, is actually weak and small. Its rules are easy to ignore and violate. So, what will actually happen if we try to build a crypto state based on such foundations? It will end up being simply a pastime for a small group of people who like to write laws.

What do we need to build a real functioning crypto state? How can we build a crypto state where ban is a serious punishment?  The answer is: we have to create a large marketplace. Why a marketplace? Because the only thing a crypto state is able to control at the moment are transactions between private individuals and/or companies. For this purpose, a crypto state should issue laws to regulate how the transactions are made. However, there is no point in doing all this if the number of transactions is small – it is no big deal if you get banned on a website that does not bring you money. No biggie.

Consequently, we have to create a large and busy marketplace before creating a crypto state. But this marketplace will be valued and respected only if there are dozens or even hundreds of millions of customers. Unfortunately, we do not have so many crypto holders just yet.

I’m really fascinated by the idea of a crypto state myself and it is my dream for it to appear. But let’s be honest – it is too early for it now.

5  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: Глупые деньги on: August 30, 2018, 10:54:56 AM

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The eternal question on: August 24, 2018, 09:29:19 AM
Cryptocurancy is so booming in 2017 especially Bitcoin, making people around the world flock to profit from Bitcoin, the media actively popularize cryptocurrency, but this wave cannot be stopped. Ordinary people on the road already understood that it was possible to produce. Even in this forum I have been calling a friend for a long time, I can't believe it can produce. It won't stop. Every day there are more of us. Those who believe in cryptocurrency.
In fact, if we look at statistics, e.g. a survey done by The Harris Poll on behalf of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), not many people in the US (and as we all know, it's one of the largest economies in the world) know about crypto. "Close to 50% of adults said they had little to no understanding of cryptocurrencies."
The US might not be a perfect example but still, not many ordinary people understand what cryptocurrencies are. But it is in our power to spread the word
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlers will not change the world on: August 24, 2018, 09:22:06 AM
i agree with you.Someone who only holds a coin without active activity (buying and selling) then it does not mean. He does not have role in changing the state of the market. Whether or not there is such a person then the state of the market will remain, it does not contribute any change to the state of the market.
I'm so glad that people actually relate to my ideas and agree with them. Yes, it is high time to try and change the situation, make our bitcoins work, perform transactions. All these actions will eventually result in the market stabilisation

12  Local / Трейдеры / Re: Что будет с Биткоином? on: August 23, 2018, 06:51:59 AM
Roll Eyes
13  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: [ANN][ICO] Fatcats.market главная доска объявлений в криптоми on: August 22, 2018, 09:29:35 AM

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlers will not change the world on: August 21, 2018, 09:31:26 AM
The owners of large Bitcoins are known as "Whales" and they are increasingly becoming a concern of investors. They can make the price drop even though they sell a small amount of property. This can happen when Bitcoin prices have increased nearly 12 times compared to last year, sometimes close to $ 20,000. They will change the world and Bitcoin.

Do you believe it only depends on 'Whales' to change the market? I disagree with you on that; there are lots of people who own bitcoin and if they stop blindly believing in all what whales say or do, BTC will become less volatile in an instant
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlers will not change the world on: August 21, 2018, 09:25:12 AM
Only one of my questions, is bitcoin really ready to be used as a currency? Because, we both know. There are still some obstacles to bitcoin if it is used as a payment tool. Especially regarding transaction speed and transaction costs

Yes this statement might be true. Holders will not change the world but they could change their world by holding.  Holding until the price gets high could make themselves profitable when they sell their coins in the market.

But the real question should be whether the holders are really going to change the world for the better if ever. What is it in holding that makes it so beneficial for the world? Personally, I can't come up with anything which justifies holding apart from personal gains by selling when the price hits the sky. From my perspective, it is effectively just a postponed consumption which is not a good thing in itself.

Am I missing some important detail in the grander picture?
Hodlers will change the world for better and I consider myself one of them, because we can do the best what we can do for the price to soar higher. If we don't hodle, then who can do it for us? The whales always look out for a good timing when to take over and be back to track. Price will have to be profitable as long as there's more demand to happen, and investors like big whales along with long term holders will patiently wait for the right time as well.

But what's the point of holding other than obtaining personal gain? Do you hold for the common good or are actually pursuing the purpose of acquiring wealth for yourself? And what makes you think that not holding will hurt anyone (let's reverse your logic here)? In the simplest of terms, what makes you think that if no one doesn't do something, it is necessarily good, in this case, "if we don't hodle, then who can do it for us"?

It is like "no one eats shit, so who if not us"?

Your questions are right on point, I'd really like to see a hodler answering all of them, lol
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid money on: August 21, 2018, 09:21:53 AM
And what to say, he himself contains the family, let him finds a way out himself. Why should a wife know, it is better to find a second job with a good income and to cover expenses than to think about easy earnings.

A lot of people want to find the easiest and fastest way to make money and become rich. That's human nature. And this attitude s even more common when it comes to the crypto market as many newbies actually believe they'll make money out of thin air without any experience or knowledge.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The eternal question on: August 21, 2018, 09:13:21 AM

Speculating somehow is a way to  persuade people in investing to BTC. But its also a way to fud and spread fear to  investors  of course we want more people in the community  to stick and invest BTC  for keeps but for someone who wants to earn  by spreading fear seem to have worked for them which is why they keep doing it like a strategy what had always been  working.

Well, I really hope this strategy will fail one day as more and more people will become aware of BTC and more people will understand what is really happening on the crypto market
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The eternal question on: August 21, 2018, 09:11:23 AM
I completely agree with you, NO one can predict the future. People can make guesses, whether calculated or not, those guesses may or may not materialize, no one can say with absolute certainty that they can make correct guesses consistently. However, on the how we can attract the numbers, well I have no ideas, but I think I'm gonna steal yours and turn it into the greatest cryptocurrency yet Wink Grin
I'm totally fine with you stealing it, so do it, lol
