Unless Patrick brings some really huge news soon i am  afraid this coin is finished - 11-12K soon.

Nothing is farther from the truth.

This guy doesn't understand crypto currencies

Good example of the downside of the Internet.

This guy is either a NITWIT! or part of a Pump/Dump team using unethical but all too prevalent tactics in the Crpyto Trading World

But Make  your own Decisions

In an IRC session last night all 3 Devs, listened to community suggestions, gave feedback, discussed future plans.  A "LIve" Brainstorm. Unheard of in Crypto or ANY business enterprise.

The VeriCoin Team is creating a new Paradigm for Modern Commerce
Stake all your coins. Halt trading. Up the intrest, Up the price Smiley curious if all the 26 mill coins have changed hands

FYI--- The 110K VRC the community donated to fund the Coin Mixing supernode so they could start working on it R there for "Eternity".

The idea of having a SMS wallet is cool but someone explain me how exactly the sms program works... are there fees to pay or the fee is simply charged on the phone bill? What if I made a transfer from german number to a japanese one what kind of fee would i pay? And how does the wallet exactly works, is it on the phone or it linked on the wallet that i have on my pc?

I can answer a couple of those. You are using your normal text messages so only those fees apply. Also the coins are not stored on your phone. They are stored on the server ran by the dev. You are just accessing them/telling the server where to send the coins, so it is somewhat centralized. It is sort of like using Coinbase to send coins, except its way faster. It is important to remember it is still in the alpha stage. There are devices that can be used to fake your phone number if someone knows you have Vericoins. There will eventually be passwords that you can set so they cannot do this, but for now you shouldn't risk a lot of coins on it. Also the system might still have bugs.

+1 Nicely said. Clear & concise

I went over all the "Howling at the Moon" that what went on overnight on this thread

The number of untruths, personal attacks, and vitriol posted by the perpetrators is unsettling to me.

The disparaging remarks about Dan Kaminsky R a  travesty.

He is a GIANT in IT evolution and PINHEADED remarks won't change the facts.

The Devs R taking the HIGH ROAD

Steady On VeriCoin! Darkness can't exist in the of presence light  and for me VeriCoin is lighting the way

whats the eta for the smspayment and anon ?

Dev's don't give Hard Deadlines.

They keep everyone up to date on what they R working on/toward.

Progress reports as they progress and When it's good to go they will announce.

Others tell U they WILL have @ an exact time/day.

These guys dealing in the reality of coding and crypto.

Screw ups, bugs, equipment failure. A million ways to miss deadline. Only 1 for success

They have delivered on everything they said they would.

Your Patience and understanding will make U a lot of $$$$$.

Try not to Fret. U R in the BEST of Company with the VeriCoin Team!

Actually as far as SMS pnosker said SMS is coming today:

https://twitter.com/pnosker/status/475479119615234048

This exactly what I'm talking about.

Dev says today. Will Come on today give update/where they R.

Doesn't say "ready for release" today.

In other posts/conversations he mentions next step for sms is "Open Testing". I'll try and find the link.

Then when in "Open Testing" quirks, bugs, nicks, show up. They get after the bugs and quirks.

Maybe say when "Open Testing" complete and Then loose date mention of when will go public

VeriCoin is a work in progress. Dev's R pointing their personal resources, talents at creating the Best, Most versatile, Crypto-Coin the Alt-Currency universe has ever seen.

Long Run is their outlook. Short run "let's get it as right as we can from the beginning"

Though I agree there have been multiple calls for a "Rich List" to be published. I don't understand Y they exist @ all. Can some one explain to me why they exist?

With all the concerns about privacy in society today why should others be privy to how many coins I have?

If people fear skullduggery I don't C how a "Rich List" is preventative. Unless I'm missing some crypto-world unwritten rule of ethics.

Or I could be mistaken in my understanding of how such a list is compiled.

I thought, only coins held in wallets can be counted for inclusion on the list. Coins held elsewhere, such as exchanges or off line (Cold Storage??) can't be accounted for.

Not to mention that  someone bent on larceny could have multiple wallets, with different addresses obfuscating their totals and intent.

I'm I missing something or is this "Rich List" the stuff juveniles, and other small minded individuals perpetuate wanting to know who has the biggest, longest, fastest whatever?

Forget I asked. I'll post in twitter a link here that no it doesn't exist, and it doesn't look like there will be one.

So you'll put the effort into tweeting about such matters but won't learn to check the "Block Chain" yourself,

Or, build one yourself to satisfy like minded folks.

There r alot of things that need to be accomplished when Developing a coin. To my way of thinking a "Rich List" is superfluous.

I personally have no experience building such a list. I would see that as something the Dev team would do to show transparency. Like I said FORGET I ASKED.

[size=20Do U Know how to Learn?pt][/size]

No I have no learning ability. None whatsoever.

Good to Know. It explains alot.

Since the recent TWEAK to the MULTIPOOL (which is still in Alpha)

I have received multiple payments from script mining I have been doing for a couple days as well as payments for X11 hash I threw @ the M/P days ago.

These Dev's R of the highest integrity and expertise, and have just demonstrated it again.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 07, 2014, 07:51:54 PM
^^ looks like we have us a volunteer to answer all our pool questions.

Anyways, since there will be a lot of people mining and a lot of these people only read the OP, you are going to see more of these type of questions.  Be prepared so you don't get too frustrated.

-tb-

Yeah U R correct

But I feel better after my post. LOL!

In the future I'll just post the address of the semi-rant

The time of the Dev's is so valuable. The more they can SPEND on the workings of the Coin the better for the communit.y
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | PoS - Dynamic Interest | No Premine on: June 07, 2014, 07:45:54 PM
i want to mine on multipool when it will be fixed)))

There's nothing to Fix!!
These continuing questions about the MultiPool R beginning to Frustrate ME!

As the Dev's have said, From the beginning. The M/P is in Alpha Testing.

That' A, Then comes B= Beta testing. The M/P is STILL in Alpha!!

There will be screw ups, stops, starts corrections, tweaks, and retweaks.

You mine on the Alpha M/P @ YOUR OWN RISK

The Dev's said this before they released it for ALPHA Testing

Please be patient. To reply to the continued posts regarding this matter takes valuable time away from a DEDICATED DEV team  whose efforts would be better directed @ getting VeriCoin to fulfill it's highest potential

There R 3 way's to get VeriCoin.

1.BUY it on the many exchanges it trades on or Ebay

2. Keep the VRC U own in your wallet and collect staking interest. The wallet is working perfectly. I get at least 10 hits of interest a day

3. Mine on The ALPHA Multipool, where other coins R mined, changed to BTC, the proceeds being used to PURCHASE VeriCoin on the open market, and distributed to the miners. All of this will occur automatically, using OBA (Optimized Buying Algorithum) when the MultiPool is released. Please read the post above.  The MultiPool is presently in ALPHA testing, then will come BETA Testing and then the OFFICIAL release
