101  Other / Meta / Re: It's April Fool Day but is it allowed on: April 01, 2024, 08:55:48 AM
People aren't willing to donate to those who deserve it.   Simply begging has no chance.
102  Other / Meta / Re: A personal meeting with theymos. on: April 01, 2024, 03:50:05 AM
It's not like he wears a sig and gets paid to post nonsense, or comment on the nonsense.   Wink

Please let me know where to get this book or is it available in pdf file online if pdf file is available please give me the link.

You'll have to wait until someone donates almost $7k and makes a download link.   :/
104  Economy / Lending / Re: Partner for a game key site on: April 01, 2024, 01:55:18 AM
i have a theme i created for shopify looking for partners to split the cost of shopify and to contribute

You don't need shopify; too expensive and manual.   Partner with someone who has an online crypto marketplace.  You'll get a much better rate and they can even help you import.

Are you allowed to sell these games, or is it against any TOS?
105  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan Request on: April 01, 2024, 01:52:08 AM
Julia, if you want to get a loan in the next 10 mins, simply sign a message from the address holding the USDT.   Then I can hold it for you until you get you 0.15BTC, at which time I will send it to your lender at no extra cost/fee to you.

Please reply here if interested, and not PM.  Smiley
106  Other / Meta / Re: Adjustments to Merit calculation on: April 01, 2024, 01:41:08 AM
Really ? I think that's bad Sir if it's not a prank. That will make it more difficult for newbie members like me to move up, because I still need to process a lot in the forum. I hope that doesn't really happen sir. Thanks. Regards Dear Theymos.

You shouldn't really complain dudeLoudmouth!  Merit: -13   Roll Eyes

The more you process, the more the number goes up.
107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How would an arrest of Trump happen? on: April 01, 2024, 01:06:00 AM
It is kind of silly how someone claiming to be victim of political prosecution would still be willing to share something like that on the internet, as if he wanted to continue to pour gas on the fire and give ammo to those who are alledgely prosecuting him over political reasons.

On his last bond hearing, the judge he is threatening warned him the most important condition of his bond was that he not commit any crime.

Most commenters seem to think this is a crime.   If the judge (he is threatening) sees it as such, he could revoke his bond.

YW for sharing - I don't even get paid to post.  Smiley

edited bail to bond.
108  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How would an arrest of Trump happen? on: April 01, 2024, 12:28:58 AM
So did Trump personally threatened Biden in a more direct way and I have not read about it yet?  Huh

I spend the first 30 mins of my day drinking coffee and watching Youtube.  Smiley

Random image chosen from search results.  Image released by Trump showing Biden tied up in back of truck with bullet in head.

109  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why can't we live in peace? on: March 31, 2024, 11:33:01 PM
What makes a person thirst for war? Is it control, power, or is this his nature?

One of the basic truths of the universe:

All biological creatures will eventually be forced to compete for limited resources.
110  Other / Politics & Society / How would an arrest of Trump happen? on: March 31, 2024, 11:29:46 PM
We will know in the next couple days if Trump will get an arrest warrant for threatening the president.  What happens if a warrant is issued?

Trump has his own security - will they take up arms against arresting officers?   More important, the SS assigned to protect him.  I assume they would be notified and have to enforce it?

This is the best drama the US has put out since "The Ark".  Smiley
111  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 26, 2024, 05:01:58 AM
Full freedom is amazing until it goes into the wrong hands.  The only way a Decentralized Forum would work well is if there was some sort of way to remove posts through the consensus of the community.

Removal could be done automatically using the trust or merit system - you just need to decentralize both of those.     Make the DT lottery open source (is it random or based on opportunity?) and replace merit sources with a more intelligent distribution system.  Anything that is not centralized (monthly bitcoin payments to bitcoin community coin holders, or forum workers, or forum designers for examples) should be documented so Theymos cannot further treat the assets as his own.

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: New Project Development and Idea Contribution on: March 26, 2024, 02:41:30 AM

Why do you want to take development away from the experience base?
113  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 26, 2024, 02:32:22 AM
Back on topic, there is a difference between freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

Theymos does allow liberal use of expression, stopping at physical threats.   You can swear all you want and have any opinion you want - to a point.   If you try to post something Theymos does not want seen, he does delete it, both here and on r/bitcoin.  These sites, like any other centralized government, limits speech that could damage it.
114  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 23, 2024, 11:49:21 PM
The advertisers don't care about the content; only the income.  This is a mostly free speech forum.
They would only be concerned if their business was connected to the scam, not if the poster is just scamming.

I've recently begun tracking all signature, avatar and tagline changes.  Until I started this project (similar to BPIP but different) there was no way to "prove" someone wore a signature when they wrote something.   I'm not doing this for legal reasons, since I voted it's acceptable, but more to track signature cheaters and other fraud.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs election? on: March 22, 2024, 04:20:13 AM
And that seems to be repeating again when gold has broken its peak, stock indexes have also peaked again and bitcoin will certainly be no exception. That's why I believe we will have a super bull cycle by the end of 2024.

This time it's different.   Texas is becoming anti-mining and if we have another summer like last year, it may be banned.

I think it will stay above $50K until it's obvious Trump has lost it.  (The election AND his mind lol).
116  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you believe soup is good for your health? on: March 22, 2024, 12:58:45 AM
Soup has historically been used as a stomach filler - prevent the rumbling and discomfort in between periods of feast.

When an army ran out of meat, they could still feed their armies by putting everything in a large pot with lots of water and heating it up.

Today we eat soup for convenience and being able to control what goes in.   Plus, it allows us to intake certain vitamins if we don't like the raw taste.  Smiley

I prefer thick soups (like chowder) because they make you feel full longer than a 1:1 soup mixture.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs election? on: March 22, 2024, 12:52:39 AM
I cannot dispute your claims of a direct correlation between bitcoin price and a good news from Trump.

I guess we will find out together next week.   If Trump loses some key properties, expect the price to plummet at least $10K.  (Prepare for an HODL attack!)   It may recover and those who buy and sell smartly now can benefit for years after Trump is buried and forgotten.
118  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin vs election? on: March 21, 2024, 11:41:41 PM
I'm following the US election a bit closer this year as I have a lot financially at stake.  I think a lot of people are.   I notice every time Trump gets good news, bitcoin price goes up, and when things are looking down for Trump (like now) bitcoin takes a beating.

Does Biden or Trump have any policies on bitcoin or energy conservation I don't know about?   I believe Biden will be forced to further rein in bitcoin mining pollution, while Trump will probably continue to steal from the next generation by allowing it to continue.

In 2017 I did something I'm not very proud of: I fell in love with blockchain as a technology!

?  You think the blockchain is immoral or unjust?   It's just a tool - people are immoral/unjust.     Undecided
