Nice additions.... i want my wallet syncing, pretty plz Smiley

quote from another user:

(use the wallet from www.limecoin.org 3.13)

Quote
Hello Mangled Blue,
maybe you are making the same mistake as me.

You have to maintain correct order of steps, do not clear the directory of limecoin in APPDATA AFTER the reinstall.

So:
backup wallet.dat
delete content in APPDATA
only then reinstall
from now on do not delete anything
restore wallet.dat
run wallet, it should sync ok.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Andy

GAMES

LimeTravian (Launched! start playing!)

Quote
Travian is set in classical antiquity. Each player starts the game as the leader of a small, undeveloped village, surrounded by undeveloped resource fields. Developing these fields increases their resource output. The village can be developed by constructing new buildings and upgrading existing ones. Recruiting military units allows players to attack other villages to plunder its resources, and defend from enemy attacks. Villages may trade their resources with other villages if both villages have a marketplace. The player may expand his realm by founding new villages, or by conquering other players' villages. Players can communicate with each other using in-game messages, and may join alliances for military and economic co-operation with other players

the updates are focused not in new code features (like difficulty, security  or anonimity) but in what can you do with the coin (services). i shouldnt be telling you this but believe me, some users have seen what we are doing, and we are doing good things on limecoin. Smiley

atm : glad to hear your wallet synced.

Anyway, I am experiencing weird wallet behaviour.

Right after start of the program, the syncing will proceed completely, at least according to the wallet.
After few minutes, the wallet show out of sync.

Right now it shows:
"Processed 5093 of 470000 (estimated)... etc"

here is the tail of log:

thats normal, we havent done the hard fork yet, after a few minutes 5-10 the wallet will stop syncing thats because of a problem with pchmessage, (we need the hard fork to fix that).

we dont want to do the hard fork, but as far as i've informed, darkcoin will change their pchmessage in may 15, that will fix or at least make more stable our wallet. if that doesnt fix it, we will have to change the pchmessage (magic numbers in blocks).

i´ll make the announce of the new features of limecoin in a few days. Smiley  , i am making a huge package of updates and not just a single one.

Please go to www.LimeCoin.org  and download the new Limecoin wallet V3.13  (only windows users), This will temporary fix the 3955 block error.

Remember to save your wallet.dat

note: i tested this version under windows 7 32bits, Windows Vista 32bits and Windows XP. let me know of any issues.
Also the wallet has a direct download link instead of mega.

-.- who's saying i cant create the installer? i did it.   i just need to know the PATH of the limecoin folder for the users that have that problem  and then ill add it to the installer.

How this path may depends from Windows version? Just use system variables like CSIDL_APPDATA.

it deppends because im using another software to create the installer, not the one that comes with the source.

edit: i found the paths, tomorrow morning ill release the new installer.

regards

as far as i can see the windows installer 3.12 didnt work for some users not because its not working, i think its because you are using a different version of windows and maybe the limecoin-qt creates   the folder .limecoin   in other versions its just limecoin folder (this version is the one i used).

Are you serious? If you can't create installation script then just distribute the wallet in zip archive.

-.- who's saying i cant create the installer? i did it.   i just need to know the PATH of the limecoin folder for the users that have that problem  and then ill add it to the installer.

ATM:

can you please give me the full path to your limecoin folder (appdata). thanks

ok let me explain the problem with the wallet and the PARTIAL fix that i made.

The wallet try to download the block chain from main node 209.208.111.8 , but at block 3955 it stuck, i still ignore the reason because its only affecting windows wallet , not MAC or Linux they sync fine.

The Main Node and the secondary nodes are working fine , and syncing perfectly, so i took the Block index from the main node and add it to the Windows Installer.

In other words, when you install the Windows Wallet 3.12 (FIX) it does this:

Limecoin-qt goes to Program files
Uninstall goes to Program Files
block index, block chain and logs, goes to  %appdata%/roaming/limecoin/*.*

so when you start the wallet it will read the updated block index, and technically it "JUMPS" the block 3955.

as far as i can see the windows installer 3.12 didnt work for some users not because its not working, i think its because you are using a different version of windows and maybe the limecoin-qt creates   the folder .limecoin   in other versions its just limecoin folder (this version is the one i used).

So to fix it:

install the windows wallet 3.12
Go to: %appdata%/roaming/limecoin/   copy all the contents of that folder to the real path (the one that limecoin wallet creates)

this is a temporal fix , im looking into this error.

Hmmm, the very current price is really that low (0.000001 btc).
Is it due to the wallet problems?

many factors, but what i can tell you is buy LIM now, cause we will do a major update soon and the price will raise.

hello guys, looking up into this issue, i've found that is the same problem we had since we launched, the partial fixes we implemented are being jumped by windows wallet (not by mac or linux wallet). so we will have to do a hard fork (the real solution), this is being scheduled to be done tomorrow at 9pm Pacific time.

after this hard fork, we will do the announcement of the new features and updates to limecoin.

hello guys, we've been quiet for a week so far, we have our reasons, good things are coming (one was the android wallet but fercho cant keep a secret -.-) for this coin but there have been some problems between dev members, thats the reason why we havent update to V3.5 or release the new features (most of them ready).

Most of the problems came when the other "limecoin" came into light.today ill have a meeting with the other devs and team members to try to seek for a solution.

thans for your support.

Limecoin (LIM) has been added to The CPU Coin List. GPUs are only 4.6 times faster than modern CPUs mining X11 so you can still get some coin with your CPU.

You can GPU and CPU mine at the same time!

Here is a How-To I have written to mine X11 coins -> http://cpucoinlist.com/how-to/how-to-cpu-mine-x11/

Thanks i'll add cpucoinlist to our official website  www.limecoin.org
