Any Casascius Peel dates coming up or anyone have any to report?

2025 Perhaps?

Interested in how this is progressing.

Thanks!

Not sure if you mean this thread but... https://casasciustracker.com/

TeeGumes seems to have been busy or away a while. I wonder the status of this project, but not worried. Wink
Sorry guys, kinda lost steam and passion for this since the forum tech just doesn't show imgur links anymore. Let's say you're selling a coin and the buyer is unsure of the contents of the paperslip/ink condition I can on request check and verify that one exposed to the elements is indeed fine. I've just been visually checking yearly to confirm the ink is still viewable, just haven't thrown them under the scope.
Surprised there's no AI quick fix to fix all the broken images on this forum. Many many gem threads have lost their sparkle in this way.

This is wild asf!! I cannot believe all this happened and how much bitcoin he scammed, compared to the price the past year or so...  It does give me some ideas for future projects or ways to increase the worth of my artwork so I appreciate you sharing the entire experience and story.

Wish you all the best and maybe one day he will make it right.. I cannot imagine the weight of being that unimpeccable would be on his shoulders..

Lol at first I was looking through your pictures on the blog looking for a bonsai tree as we had found information that WoodCollector moved onto scamming the bonsai tree community, then I read the above excerpt from your About PBA page and burst out laughing. Guess I'll say "Hello WC or WC's friend" and add this hilarious coincidence to the WoodCollector saga.

If you ever hit Full Member here you can look at this thread and there might just be some pictures of somebody you know -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321663.msg56490105#msg56490105
The friend you "met" in 2019 with a Bonsai Garden could very well be WoodCollector who was being accused of scamming bonsai enthusiasts in early 2020 in the thread above.

An ego like his I figured he'd eventually Google his old username and come across this thread.

I'm still very happy with having completed this collection, they look incredible displayed. Was I scammed? No, I bought these for the history/story. Does this directly link PhysicalBitcoinArt to WoodCollector? No but one hell of a coincidence.
Ask your friend about Coin 10 and let me know what he says Wink

This is the address showing from the 1st bits.

https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/1G1g5qGLepGPZhv6hXxWY91tPjv2Ey76vF

I have tried mycellium snd it also says that key is invalid, its 30 characters long - and I have tried numerous times now, I do believe this is a manufacturing error - hence the need to speak to them, unfortunately I am in the EU and not the USA so contacting is a daunting task.

what do I do here. thank you greatly for all help

It's either bricked due to manufacturing or you're messing up a letter/number. Not much we can do without seeing the private key ourselves. There's not much I can do in terms to make you trust me with it but I have compiled this community thread and have seen what's under the hologram on countless coins.

Here is a whole tread devoted to your issue: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5369583.0

Sorry if I was not clear - I do not own a 2fa coin, mine is a 2016 silver private key. it seems the private key is incorrect on my coin. but I will post there and hopefully he will assist.

The private key under the hologram should be in the form of a Mini private key. I'm unsure if any of the wallets you mentioned in the OP are able to convert as I haven't tried them. I just recently peeled a 2016 Titan One – 1oz Gold and everything worked smooth when sweeping it with Mycelium. I used the Android version for this. Be very mindful that you haven't capitalized letters that are lower case and that you aren't putting in 0's for O's and vice versa. The text under my hologram was a little bit fuzzy so if similar with yours you could be misinterpreting a letter.

You will be able to find the public address associated with the coin at TitanBTC's verify page. Enter the digits on the face side of the hologram and hit submit code. The webpage probably doesn't display accurate information about the loaded value (mine doesn't currently) but the full public address will be below and clickable. Let us know how it goes and feel free to message me any pictures you don't feel safe publicly posting.

I have set #14 of the Lealana King K series. Probably take a mil in a briefcase for it in some lawyer's office somewhere.

I have a some of these but the other series - excuse me if this is a stupid question but how do you get the private key? I dont see a holo where it says "private key" does that part of the paper peel up or something?

Trolling online is so easy...
Is it really trolling if a meme picture I made 3 years ago can apply to the products you're launching still to this day?

When I buy from a company or creator what I look for is passion in their work.. sadly with Ballet you seem to want to be surrounded by "yes men" and the fire seems to be fading.

Bring back the passion.. I know you have it Bobby.

Starting to see a common denominator here.
Same bullshit options for replacement too. Bring back the passion Bobby, not the Amazon sales quota.

16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] The NEW 2021 Bitcoin Penny® has YOUR NAME on it! on: May 20, 2021, 05:28:40 PM
there will be two sizes?

Two sizes? I don't know what you mean. They're all the same usual size. Maybe you're seeing an optical illusion due to the viewing angle. Try tilting your computer screen back and to the left.

Chris @ TBPCo.

lol at viewing angle - in your picture the one on the left looks considerably larger than the 2 on the right.

Oh, yes. That's because I spilled some water on that one, and it swelled up. Give it 24 hours to dry out, and it'll be the same usual size again.

Chris @ TBPCo.

lol you messing with me today.

If they will only be the size that they normally are then that is really the only answer I need.

but you cannot tell me its a viewing angle that makes the one in the green box look larger than the one in the black box.

18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION]Crypto Imperator Wizard Coin Numbers #1-#10 ENDED on: May 02, 2021, 04:02:51 AM
I really kind of hope CI stops diluting the number of these coins available. Was a good series, but if he wants to keep running it- a date change should take place, IMO. I really like CIs coins and I certainly don’t mean any disrespect...
Less speed posting, more research. These are the first 10 coins of the limited edition of 100.

These are literally the first couple sentences in the OP
This auction is for the first 10 coins of the Limited Edition “Magic Internet Money”!, a coin of which only 100 have been minted.
More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5198992

Lets click the supplied link by CryptoImperator...
1-10 will be auctioned at a later date.

Interesting.. The delay you ask? Covid and CI not being located in North America.
19  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Crypto Imperator 10,000 bits Made in 2014 Limited Mint of 500 Coins on: May 01, 2021, 06:49:39 PM
There's a little saying that circulates around the bitcointalk collectibles board every once in awhile..
Caveat emptor
Don't like the auction terms/format/auctioneer? Don't bid. Neither of these guys have done anything shady as of yet.. will we keep eyes on them in the future if this turns sour? Yea. Each person needs to have their own personal red flags when dealing here and if it means this coin sells for less than it normally would.. so be it.. that is on the seller.

Bitcoin has changed a lot.. you DO need to ask yourself what an unlicensed nice guy escrow has for tools in their bag? Lets not be dumb here. Smart escrows will have upped their game if they want to remain doing business here. This statement could use it's own thread to be honest but it isn't one that I want to start.
20  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WoodCollector]Nine Public Coin Collection Completed on: April 09, 2021, 04:19:12 PM
So, all this was a scam. Feel bad for tee. He/she worked hard on colllecting all 9 coins.
Do not feel sorry for me. I had almost all of the information when I took on this adventure of acquiring all nine coins (besides most of the recent detective work done by hilariousetc). This collection was never about finding a 5000BTC treasure.. that was almost immediately wiped off the table through blockchain analysis and the search for 1000 transactions of exactly 5BTC each (+ remaining at their load destination) through the time period of creation of WoodCollector's tale and months prior.
Would it have been nice? Fuck yea. Did I expect it? No.

This was about challenging myself to find all of the coins while meeting interesting people throughout the process. With the recent passing of TECSHARE, the original owner of Coin 9, it goes to show how easily this collection could have remained broken and incomplete. Hardly any of these coins were ever put up for sale after their initial offering from WoodCollector. I reached out to each person individually and created relationships and trust while including each of them in their own way into being a further part in this tale. I'd say through this adventure I made my first "friends" in the world of bitcoin. Information was shared, laughs were had, promises were made and nothing will ever take any of that away. Some were excited to take the journey with me, while others were just happy to quell the burn they faced from the WoodCollector fiasco.

I always did wonder how somebody could create such a tale and persona across the Bitcoin Collectibles community and then never Google their name years later to see if any progress had been made. This is something that always puzzled me.. I always expected to be reached out to by a newbie account with even just a "Congratulations" or something of the like and then have a conversation with whom I'd figure to have been WoodCollector. Don't worry though I had always planned for fake Coin 10's and WoodCollector's to try and scam bitcoin from me, I had very precise questioning and information still unknown to anyone on the forum locked away in a notepad in case this ever happened. Do I want to reach out to the person unmasked by hilariousetc? No, that's not how the tale plays out in my mind.

Naysayers win this time as I do believe hilariousetc's information, this however does not change my love for this collection. I've found myself collecting more and more drama pieces with some of the most ridiculous history behind them. Alitin Mint Jeanne D'Arc.. loaded with 1BTC still in it's case.. Microsoul Russian Roulette Coin's unpeeled with potentially a 1BTC prize laying underneath, if the keys are there and in proper format.. these nine humongous wood coins... Casascius and Denarium coins a plenty, I just don't get the same feeling of excitement looking at them as I do with my little corner of potentially breached/mishandled/outright fraud coins/collectibles I have. I am proud of my collection and that will never change.

As always, I'll finish off my post with:
Hey Mr/Mrs. Coin Ten, if you're out there.. lets talk  Smiley I've got a treasure map and you've got the compass.
