1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: new v2.25.2 NVIDIA 3000-series support! on: February 04, 2021, 02:02:30 AM
Hey miners,

Just wanted to reach out and issue a public thanks for all the great feedback on the v2.25.2 we got via discord, msgs and emails, as well as the advanced beta testing of the 3000 series.

Todd made sure the miners have what they need - we thank you graciously.

Dear other pimps that got early cards and got us validation before the release, we hope to see you on the beta team soon. We'll be streamlining beta testing going forward so watch this thread and discord for updates.

Onward to 3.0 and beyond - fighting through the new code every day Smiley You'll love it.

Thanks, Your Friend,

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: -> Web Console now available! on: February 02, 2021, 12:55:33 AM

We have just made your remote mining life better: you can low launch a tmate web console to your rig from!

We have put together our own tmate server, so your connection does not leave our domain - no piggybacking on someone elses services.

It is SSL/TLS secured of course, so your your connections are secured and private.

This service is now available to all paid users. Smiley

Hi Lily,

Thanks again for the huge effort in tackling this multiple-layer deployment - it's a huge feature and I have found myself using it for all sorts of support and personal reasons.

Meanwhile, we got a brand new image with a new NVIDIA 460 driver build to support the new Nvidia 3000 series GPUs! It's released today after good QA testing.

Hi Miners,

IMAGE 2.25.2: RELEASED 2021-02-01
Changelog from 2.24.0:

Added gputool and mining support for NVIDIA 3xxx series GPUs
Updated all system packages, miners, and applications to latest as of 20210126
Updated CUDA to 11.2 and added cuda 11.1 libs for backward compatibility
Updated nvidia drivers to 460
Updated discord to 0.0.13 and fixed bug preventing running the discord client as root

Re-image note:

To update the PIMP IMAGE you must re-image your SSD with the new .img file and re-configure. pimpup only can update agent, pimp software, and miners at this time.

Download links are on your account page:

Thanks team for your support and diligent testing!

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PiMP OS is the fastest and easiest way to mine ALL crypto currencies! on: January 19, 2021, 07:59:38 PM
PiMP 2.24 is amazing. The Dev team have gone above and beyond with MinerFarm too. MinerFarm gives you full control over your rigs via the internet. Even config editing, restarting, rebooting or just shutting down. It's easy to mine with PiMP. Smiley Thanks again guys!

Hey Broomey, thanks for all the kind words in these posts, we are really proud to be part of your really great farm, extra love for all the pimp green!!

We're always mining with you and we are glad you love 2.24, thanks for helping us get it and its predecessors through all that quality testing.

We're hot on the new nvidia 3000 series GPUs and we'll have another maintenance release soon to support those cards. Then back on track on the road to PIMP 3, its been a long time in the making as you know!

Also want to say it's great talking to you on the chat - See you there!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PiMP OS is the fastest and easiest way to mine ALL crypto currencies! on: December 26, 2020, 11:40:34 PM
Hey miners! Hope you are underway on some time off, or getting the rigs refreshed, or eating and drinking with a few loved ones.

We had some nice gains today, with BTC all new high of $26,000 USD.

We also have had several pimps reporting good mining on the newer AMD generation GPUs like the Vega and VII. Although they had to do some intermediate/advanced tuning, we have lots of miners in the community to offer guidance. You can be mining like the experts with not much experience as well - we are very proud of our community members that learn fast and volunteer to help others.

Over the holiday We have been working hard on our infrastructure to handle the increased capacity. Mining interest continues to increase and we hope that you tell your friends about us so we can continue to fund this fun project and bring your requests, and our ideas, to life.

Also of note, we enabled the "Membership Screening" feature on discord due to a lot of spam bots, to keep us all safe. Hope this doesn't prevent anyone from joining our chat. You can always Reply to order email if you get stuck.

Thanks again all, and continue to enjoy your holidays! Happy mining Smiley

Just started my first rig from some spare hardware laying around and Pimp License.

Some helpful peeps in the Discord got me the last mile and it's rolling.

Pretty happy mining virgin here. Pretty painless.

Hey Fragabond,

Thanks for your feedback and welcome to mining! We greatly appreciate your support.

P.S. This all started with one little rig.... Smiley

See you in the Discord! Place is jumping with these all time coin prices for sure.

Thank you,

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PiMP OS is the fastest and easiest way to mine ALL crypto currencies! on: December 21, 2020, 02:17:38 PM

Does anyone know where i can see a full list of algos supported?

Can you buy with BTC?

Hi minerja, thanks for your questions Smiley

If you look at the Original Post we have updated it with the current list of miners that are integrated with PIMP but i'll put it below. These managed profiles are working sandbox examples you can use to test and then you put your own pool/wallet info into the cfg file using our tools. Each miner supports various algorithms and hardware. We are happy to help you choose by making recommendations.

We have always accepted crypto and paypal for payment. Both PiMP OS purchases at and subscriptions use merchant for checkout. We are very fortunate to say we have never had any issue with them, very very highly recommend.  Currently I think we have enabled BTC, ETH, XMR, and a few others. The reason we have to limit is due to the fact that we calculate and pay income tax on the crypto income. We have developed a nice system with our Crypto Accountant, Brash, who makes sure we are always compliant. BTW: He is available to answer any of your crypto tax questions, email to ask at Smiley

Hope this information helps you find your way to our community! Take care.

~ melt

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PiMP OS is the fastest and easiest way to mine ALL crypto currencies! on: December 20, 2020, 02:09:27 PM
Yes, it is a whole different world compared to Windows mining. You don't realize the potential of mining until you move from using Windows to an OS like PimpOS which is designed from the ground up just for mining. They even had the 4gb cards running mining ETH up until about a week ago which is far longer then they were on running.

I just installed it and I'm very happily running the new PiMP OS 2.24. (there is a huge difference from my W10 Rigs, no more freezing/updates unscheduled and different drivers issues).
Now, I can start the updates whenever I want . I love PimpOS, and on top of that their support (24/7) are amazing, there is many tips regarding how to configure your miners and debug your GPUs and if you can't fix it by your own, they will help you. Keep up your good job guys, you are the best !
Keep up the great work.
Merry Xmas PiMP crew !!
Happy new year !  (We hope will be a better new year for everyone ! )

Thanks for the kind words! We are proud of the stability, easier pimpup updates, as well as the helpme diagnostics, which the PiMPs say are the top reasons they switch from windows.

Lots more new features to come! the helpme 3.0 version uses a entire new app framework and is super mobile friendly Smiley

Talk soon, we'll be posting our thoughts here by request of the users to have more news about whats coming. By miners, for miners!

P.S. the crate from my FIRST RIG in 2012 is still mining!

Thank you,

Keep up the great work.

Hi, any support for AMD Vega 56?

Sorry to say, Vega56 is not recommended for use with PiMP yet. AMD's driver support for Linux is extremely rudimentary and we are still working on it. Essentially, We've got one mining using pimp 2.15, but we cannot seem to send commands to the AMD GPU hardware via gputool, sysfs or any of the tools provided by mfg or third party, so we are researching.

Thank you for asking us!
