381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Seuntjie' Dice bot programmers mode discussion. on: March 16, 2016, 06:57:46 PM
Hi,
I have some idea but can not implement it.
Maybe somone can help me)
For example, i have some sequences of bets (5 for example), and i want that the bot bettin it sequences randomly
1st sequence:
0.00000001 Low
0.00000002 Low
0.00000004 High
0.00000008 High
2nd
0.00000001 Low
0.00000002 High
0.00000004 High
0.00000008 Low
3rd
0.00000001 High
0.00000002 Low
0.00000004 High
0.00000008 Low
etc...
help please)!
thank you!

   I'm sure you could create a table/array in LUA, but I don't have the time to look it up right this second.  The key would be to use the math.random() function.
something like

sequencenum = math.random(1,size of table variable)

Then use sequencenum to index into that table to the selected sequence.

   If I have time later I'll look it up.

another exchange you can get on.   this is where i watch atm.   not only ofc. but one of Smiley

https://c-cex.com/?id=&settz=4

weve been listed on c-cex for over a year lol

Sure, but he found  you on a diff exchange and was asking for a different one.

not sure how  you meant your comment so i would defend my comment about his comment, from your comment.   Smiley

g

   That confused me too.  But giantkin, you didn't quote the original post, so Dogedarkdev thought you were just making a comment about a new exchange you found us on.  I had to read a couple of posts back from your original post to find out what you were referring too.

Is there a preferred exchange for xvg ? I am using bittrex and the confirmation time is god awful. I don't think it should take hours for a deposit to clear -_-;

@Chilly
How did you know it was here ?
Seems to me you had it bookmarked for some reason ?
Making sure it gets a periodic bump huh ?

What i find amusing is you said.. well... NOTHING  Cheesy

   Of course I had it bookmarked.  I've been burned by enough spots coins, to want to see how it all ends.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: March 12, 2016, 12:34:32 AM
Ok, got the fix in place. Since there is no immediate issue because we are PoS, I will wait to post it inside the new wallet either this weekend or sometime next week. Unlike PoW coins, nobody here will lose out on all this missed time. All of our coin age will be waiting for us on the other side of the new wallet  Smiley

No exploit or anything, just a small oversight on my part with the way numbers are formatted. There is nobody to blame but myself; this amateur mistake is on me, I should have known better

It will be rolled back to block 500k and since it was entirely my fault I will be reimbursing the exchanges out of pocket for those of you who decided to take advantage of the small window. We know exactly who you are, by the way, and fuck you for being greedy. I won't forget your actions
This is me being nice. I don't care what your opinion is

Thinking I am dumping while wallet isnt even active is something only a fucking idiot would believe, though. If the shoe fits, you better put that bitch on because it's ice cold where I'm from

Whoa, someone's been taking lessons in bad ass.

You sure are pretty hostile for a guy who fucked up big time, most people in your position might try being humble after making such a dick of themselves but not egomaniacs like you.
Everyone else is a fucking idiot as usual, but there are no active wallets, nobody can stake and the chain is being rolled back all because you made the stupid 'mistake' remember?

I doubt anyone who has ever dealt with you before would put this latest shit into the legit category either. I'd say you're still 50/50 to do a runner.
Id also say a its a fairly safe bet that this 'mistake' of yours is deliberate so that you can pull some more underhanded bullshit with your massive premine accounts. Its what you do every time, this is just a different method. Sadly, that ship has sailed and anyone who can read a blockchain already knows exactly what you did and why this coin is being slow dumped to death from your multiple wallets.

Another thing you absolute dunce, It really doesn't matter how many times you say that you dont care about peoples opinions. You care plenty. Plenty enough to reply playing the tough guy in the first place and plenty enough to try and hide who you are behind your scared little digicube account. Perhaps if you weren't such a predictable fucking idiot you may have gotten away with it.

Now, fix this shitcoin so that I may resume watching the 'special' olympics.

Did I say Deja Vu ??
Do I smell a coin merger coming up ??

    Classic.  Prime reason to stay away from spotted coins, and another fine example why this thread should be here to warn newbies.

yolo what is your involvement with Verge. I see you mainly post here Smiley

Also you can contact Microsoft Azure and be added to their cloud platform I think this coin has a very big chance.. Today bitshares has been added to Microsoft and that why it has gone up in price.. Ethereum is in that plataform too

Read below:

http://bitsharesblog.com/bitshares-added-to-microsoft-azure-cloud-computing-platform/

Dogedarkdev would be your guy for that. This community is very active in helping but he's the guy.

Back when all this started I lurked on the DOGED forum for a long time and the more I saw of this community and the dev the more I started to buy.

What exactly did you see? All I see is "moon! everyone buy more! pump coming! this will be huge!"

    If you just looked at this thread, then I agree this is mostly moon/pump stuff.  Go back and read the DogeD thread (where this all started over a year ago.)  There is alot more info there.  Also the IRC channel is very active.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: March 11, 2016, 04:50:19 PM

edit - Looks like some FOMO kicking in and folks sells are in the lower 40's again, big buy wall at 37 sat

   That's a good thing.  Keeps the volume moving.  But it's people stepping over the dollars to pick up pennies.

A few days ago, I had some extra BTC.  Put it low on the order book to try and help prop up the price, I was dumped into, in the 17-20 sat range.  At that time I thought I would just put it on the sell side at double the price.

   I thought better and withdrew it to my wallet.   It would have been sold at these low prices, and I would miss the big rise about to happen.

Now to find more BTC and prop up the buy books...   Smiley
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: March 11, 2016, 02:53:06 PM

   So without even mentioning the tech behind this coin, I could see us going to 580 sat.

   Doge has 10X more coins and is currently at 58 sat.  So 58 X 10 = 580 sat.

Add in the other great things Verge brings to the table and the price climbs from there.

   (Just my backyard analysis)

  Good idea to move the speculations and price movement there.  Keep this thread for technical discussions.  I'm going to check it out now....

we rebranded, that was before rebrand, so i just finished our new i2p website and got rid of our old one, and im working on conforming a few more things, so we can be added to the i2p official package.

Wouldn't that be kind of a really big deal?

   Yea, It only took a few months for it to sink in, but I agree, it could be a big deal.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][Scrypt][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: March 10, 2016, 09:59:06 PM

   Trying to remember.  Several months ago, there was a discussion about some things getting included in the I2P download (at least that's what I remembering).  Was that true?  And what was it?  I'm thinking it could have been nodes, and maybe the wallet?

   If I remembered correct, did we update to the verge wallet?

 I'm just thinking that this would be a cool marketing tool, to be able to say we're included in the I2P install.  If that's correct.

   And I could be totally off base.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][Scrypt][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: March 10, 2016, 04:51:13 PM
what happens to my wallet when lets say my pc crashes?  ( sorry for stupid questions but im new to this )

Along the lines already mentioned by others..... most coins wallets have a "backup" listed under "file" which does just what it says. You can send this backup to another location on your drive, another computer on your network, a usb drive (I keep one handy just for this) . Further security is available by creating passwords and keys but these also need to be recorded and stored.....the further you lock down a wallet, you'll need them if you ever have to recover its data (coins). Help files on wallets generally have instructions on how to do this. it sometimes varies a little but in principle....they all do the same thing.

Keep in mind, every transaction that changes your balances  , you should backup.

Just good housekeeping.

So with this, you are saying everytime you make a new tranasction (in or out) you should back up the wallet.dat file.  The file (wallet.dat) changes each time the transactions are made correct?  Just wanting to make sure this is correct and there isn't anything else you would miss backing up with new trasactions.

   To be 100% sure, you should backup after every send transaction or address creation.

When you receive coins to an existing address, your wallet.dat should already have the wallet address/private key pair.

When you send coins, your wallet could potentially create new addresses to hold the change.  The change addresses are created in blocks, (I don't know the number but think it's around 100).  Unless you checked this you could potentially lose coins if you didn't back up, after new change addresses are created.  You would just lose the coins in that address.

As someone already stated, your coins are not actually in your wallet, the wallet just has the keys to unlock your coins.

   Nope, been around almost 2 years.

Would bring the price to approx 50sat

   I had to go look, and we're up to 39th place already...

Hi, i need a simple code when if i won the bet i keep the same bet but reduce the chance, something like this, its possible to do?

chance= 98
nextbet = balance*(0.01)

function dobet()
if win then
chance = previouschance(-1)
nextbet = lastbet
else
chance = 98
nextbet = balance*(0.01)
end
end

i really need a help because i dont know how to code

   Pretty close, Try this

chance= 98
nextbet = balance* .01

function dobet()

  if win then
    chance = chance - 1

--     nextbet = lastbet  Not needed, but you could put nextbet = previousbet

  else
    chance = 98
    nextbet = balance*.01
  end
end

Thanks, works greate, but its not a good strategy...  Shocked

   You gave it a try.  Now you can start tweaking it, and try other things.  That's the great thing about using the programmer mode.  Hopefully you didn't lose to much.

I've got an idea while answering someone over twitter. VERGE needs to brand it's untraceable technology all those VC backed coins listed over VC backed shapeshift.io have fancy names for the simple stuff they supposedly do (some have nothing at all on them). VERGE in the other hand is doing some pretty difficult things and name simply "tor nodes" or "i2p nodes" etc. Why not brand it's achievements something like *blackhole technology / *TheXVGblackhole and put some fancy images like the one below and write extensively on how information leave the wallet and simply appear on the other side without leaving any trace whatsoever like no trace at all on users locations wallets IPs etc. People like the hyped side of things so let's hype something that's clearly very advanced but let to common names explain.

   I like the idea.  Another coin has a catchy blender tech, that's not even out yet.  Eth has all kinds of code word and buzz phrases.  I have a feeling most of it is used to baffle people, but it seems to be working, and if we can back it up with results, we should be golden.

if Seuntjie could get this feature implemented into his bot soon, it'd be appreciated!

There's already a script on my site for the programmer mode that does something similar. With some tweaking it would do exactly what you want. You can find it on here: https://bot.seuntjie.com/scripts.aspx

The only tweak I'm looking to do appears to be with adjusting the "dobet" function to make it effectively hit the 'E' key instead of the 'H' or 'L' key.  I didn't see anything else on the scripts page that might relate to this.

  I've never played with using the settings and programmer mode, but the code to set a random chance is

chance = math.random(X,Y)

X = minimum chance
Y = Max chance

Oh!  I was just talking about using the sites function.  Didn't realize the bot already had its own way of doing it.  Thanks!

Hahaha, I just saw dobet and seuntjie's name, and threw the post in.  Didn't check which thread I was in.  You can do a lot of this stuff in the programmer mode of his bot.  There is a separate thread  but I don't have the link.  Better to discuss it there.

Found it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1114503.0

I think something like this https://www.coinpayments.net/coinhosting could be just as valuable as buying your way onto an exchange.

Block Explorer & Faucet
$975USD
Initial Setup
1 Year Hosting**
Maintenance
Social Media Announcement
Newsletter Mention
$100 Donation to Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)

Requirements:
Listed On CoinPayments

Just a suggestion! They have a couple smaller packages too

we are already on cointopay.com and we already have block explorers and a faucet im almost done with.. i think a larger exchange is a better investment for that kind of money

whoa... cointopay imho should not charge, they should take transaction fees only like coinomi etc. All Cryptos are not ponzi's

   No sure if you missed it, or I'm missing something.  cointopay doesn't charge to list with them, and Verge is there.  CoinPayments is asking for a fee to be listed.  And I agree we shouldn't do that.

The real question is why people would shell out $6 usd on one ETH and VXG only $ 0.000055 usd on Verge - Amazing!

still confused what the uniqueness of ETH

Wait ... there is uniqueness ? News to me.

I believe its "unique" because corporate ties to it (wolf in sheeps clothing)

Crypto never was meant to be corporations play thing or puppet. IMHO

   The corporate ties only go so far as,  the corporations acknowledging Eth per the open license agreement.  They are not going to use the public ETH block chain, nor will they be buying ETH.  They may share updates with the ETH team, but that's about it.

   But it sure sounds good...

Sorry to Stray in the Verge thread, but that hit a sore spot.  Smiley
