1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: April 13, 2017, 07:49:09 AM

Hmm I don't think I want to do that just to buy a coin...

I had the same concern. It turns out this is just for fiat withdrawls. You don't need to do this for SKY. I have an account less than an hour old and can confirm I was able to withdrawl it to the Skycoin wallet without any hassles or limits or fees.

Good luck!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: April 08, 2017, 11:14:49 PM
hang on guys... so 10% of the coins will be sold in the ICO? 90% held back, where 70% will be used "in the future". Can you guys elaborate on that a bit? I'm interested in this project, but not while only 10% of the supply is circulating. I also suspect this will prevent quite a few exchanges from getting involved. Maybe I didn't understand this proposed distribution... can anyone help me with that? I'm likely to wait until more than 60% of the supply is out there to jump in, but good luck on your project! (hello from NEM Xtester)

small problem:

trex and polo don't add gamblecoins.

Oh, really? What is Augur doing in Polo then? This is pure bullshit.
Edgeless can go Bittrex or Polo, even they can grow without any of these exchanges.

Aren't all cryptos gambling? Wink
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: April 05, 2017, 01:13:40 AM
No "real"proof except for the funds would have would not be sent out in little amounts stretched over a long period of time. If i was to move my funds it would be all at once. I was greeted with a you must update you wallet files, so I wanted to make sure I didn't screw anything up. I guess I could fire up an old wallet show you screenshots of the screen with the funds there but at soon as it hits that day the balance drops to 0.

Again, just looking for some advice on what appears to have happened. I still have the original wallet files and keys. I made backups before I started the update process. Have also only used the command line wallet.

So I assume the coins are gone, but I was wondering it there was any significance to that date (1/17/2016).

Thank you again.

Also my main name on here was sk00t3r, I'm fairly confident that it was hacked, these is not my first two posts. I have tried everything to recover my original account.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=316944

You can clearly tell someone hijacked my btctalk account look at the grammar at my early posts, the last post by me was October 16,2014. Then look at what it has turned into in later posts starting with the very next post February 3rd 2016. Something happened in those 3 months and I can promise you it was not me making any post after my final post on October 16, 2014.

Thank you all again.

I am sorry for your loss!
What Operating System were/are you using to store your XMR. If you usr products from Richmond US you should consider changing that to an UNIX'isch for that porpuse since we all know that WIN is the same like FB in terms of privacy and security of your data.

Hope you find that bastard  Roll Eyes Cheesy

These are some strange and interesting developments.

Be sure to use 16 digit passwords, and don't use the same ones for any other accounts than BTCtalk. You may even consider using Apple products and VPN/TOR for added security - although the captchas are not fun LOL

LOL, this is a joke right? And using VPN doesn't protect you if the VPN provider is the one screwing you.

TOR is useless. Known backdoor that US Government uses. The FBI let a pedo walk because a judge asked them to to provide, in detail, how they discovered him when he used TOR. Processors are infiltrated / back-doored at source, o/s are too. Including all Linus flavors. If it is digital you are tracked. Period. That being said Private Internet Access Inc's VPN service is legit. They do not log anything on any server. If you trust them, they are about as safe as it gets. Doesn't negate fact that tech giants are in bed with big brother and allow backdoors at source. The USA Alphabet agencies are the single largest threat to the US Economy.

I agree with this completely. I use a logless VPN. It's a bit like a "decentralized" Tor if you think about it, and you hope to get lost in the noise by the time anyone gets interested it's already old news. The only point of failure there is if your provider is somehow compromised, which is why, as a US citizen, I use chained VPNs outside of my country (all logless). I actually feel much safer doing that then Tor. You want to be a drop in the ocean here...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Melonport on: April 04, 2017, 11:45:10 PM
youre write in iam quote you say, youre not developer not anything team in dev

but in here youre know and explain about ico selling
in thread youre write too total suply coin only 1,250,000 coin
iam very confused youre write about that

Go to melonports website. It is all public info. And it's not 1.25m total supply. It is 1.25m total supply for the sale period. More coins will be developed in typical blockchain reward format once the product launches.

https://melonport.com/learn

Quote
A maximum of 1,250,000 MLN will be created before the final version of the Melon protocol is deployed to the live network. Following the live deployment, a fixed amount of new token will be created periodically and be distributed towards the most widely used Modules of the Melon protocol. This incentivises maintenance and development of the Melon protocol even after its final version is deployed to the live network.

I realize why I don't come to this forum that much. It's mostly trolls.

Interesting post history you have there, Jenny Matthews.  Wink

Uh oh... hi Gleb. We are becoming fast friends.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: April 03, 2017, 04:17:17 PM
Sure. I make more interest if I increase stake. But am forced to babysit a fork where we have to force everyone to upgrade. When QT is gone it's easier. But for something as minor as this it seems a bit of a hustle to spend a month worrying if we got all nodes on the new build.

So I would have to do what, change the port number? Tell exchanges to rebuild? I'm thinking the bigger rewards come with finishing the remaining templates and rolling peg.

And it's pretty fair... I'm definitely outnumbered by other voters and some.guys in core could easily defeat my vote.

But to level the playing field I'm going to stop voting for a day.

Why stop? This is a great moment for people to "wake up" and transition their coins from the QT to the client. I've got about 7 million voting for stakefork. All it takes is for 11% of the coin supply to vote for the stake.

We have till the 4th of April before the vote ends. Let's let it ride its course!

Hey guys, sorry... are we supposed to be updating our client? Mine is a month or two old. Thanks
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 31, 2017, 12:25:17 AM
I am running the full NEM node client on my machine. Is there a way to directly access the SQL database of NEM in order to make some analyses on the NEM blockchain?

Of course, there is the possiblity to access the database through the NEM api but overall it does need more time than directly accessing the SQL db.

It's an h2 db or Hibernate database. You could use the spring framework or hibernate jar to issue sql against it in java if you wanted.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 30, 2017, 08:10:35 PM
And yes I killed the processes even restarted the PC cleaned the kmodo folders several times and installed java again and such. I don't use the installer version... So maybe there is some essential setting missing here?

It has been noted multiple times by the devs that the installer should be run first.  You can continue using the zip version(s) afterwards, of course.  Sometimes quick updates get released without installers, but the latest installer version will do.

I know but Installer is a "no go" to me. I don't know if I am the only person in the world that do not trust installers where you give admin rights etc. I could install it on a virtual MC but that's also not what I like to have.

If it really requires registry entries .. A zip and a description of what settings has to be done (registry) and dll needed to copy or install in the system is what I prefer.
I will try to analyse the installer script and do the things manual or give up and eighter risk to keep them on the exchange for some days or switch the coins if it becomes too crazy for me to do.

For the ones still haveing that JavaScript Error and the suggested (issue 74?) didn't help:
You most likely have put that manual created config jason file into the wrong folder or named it wrong. It's tricky to find the correct folder.

What you can also do if nothing helps .. open said .js script (see the JavaScript Error message) in a text editor and move that function method whatever upward in the text file.
You can open a newer file in guithub and compare with your one to see where to move it too. That was my first workaround. Not sure if it even might be possible to just take and use that new file.. they made too many changes there for me to tell.

Yeah my favorite thing in the world is electrum portable. I have no idea why a portable / 7z / zip archive isn't released along side the installer for those of us that use network / NFS VMs / encrypted NAS'es etc.

Is there a "filter out bounties" button in BTT? k thx.

But seriously, would be cool to crawl this thread to read about the project updates Smiley

I understand the bounty hunters want what is owed, but man, a separate thread for that would be kick ass.

At least I more homies on this thread than you do, for I don't see many echoing your sentiment excepting Newbies posting exclusively here, most likely Team Qtum's shill accounts.

Gleb and I are homies now thanks to the battle scars of the Legends Room. I get nervous when Gleb shows up on a thread. He's one of those guys that makes me most happy by never making an appearance. I warned him we'd cross paths again soon... I just didn't think it would be 30 minutes later.

- Unsold tokens are automatically burned by a Smart Contract  -  That's very very good !  Wink

do you know in wich block?

edit : i think they are already burned : Total Supply:   132,046,997 Edgeless

Just want to confirm that indeed this is the total supply of EDG? Is this fixed or is there any inflation? I assume the lottery for EDG holders is voluntary (and not a smart contract function), and winning are paid in Eth, and not EDG? If EDG I assume that would imply an inflationary function? Sorry if this is in the white paper, just looking for the tl;dr one liner here if anyone has it handy.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]The Legends Room Las Vegas 😍 Gentlemen's Club Membership😍 SALE LIVE NOW! on: March 17, 2017, 11:32:40 PM
Interesting day and my bracket is in tact.  Really enjoy reading the hate.  Nice to see my Legends Room membership is generating such interest. Controversy equals cash especially in Las Vegas.  Wonder why anyone is discussing this as an investment. It's not. ...

Maybe it shouldn't be positioned as an "investment" by the token issuers then with language like "renting it out"? People that buy things with the prospect of renting them out for ROI typically perceive those as investment vehicles, or assets. Lifetime memberships with transferable qualities don't typically get classified as "perishable" in my experience.

It's amusing to me that you define people that have put money in to this with legitimate transparency questions as "hateful". I don't believe anyone put forth any hate. You are making assumptions about the level of involvement the people asking questions have in this project (and that it must necessarily be 0 or significantly less than yours). Thankfully your opinions don't represent the project (do they?). If they did I'd be pretty concerned about the attempt to ignore the transparency questions.

The hate is the foul language, ethnic and sexual slurs, loosely throwing around the word scam when there is no evidence of any. If you bought it to rent out and you are unhappy you get a refund as has been stated on this forum previously. I don't who is positioning it as an investment. It is a membership first and you can rent it if you want to when you are not using it.

As I did none of those things in my post I will assume that wasn't directed at me and retract my criticism on that point. I'm comfortable disagreeing with you on the definition of what an investment is.

I knew this project was going to go somewhere when I saw it in January.
Just didn't think it would be this dull with all the pretty eye-candy pictured and videoed.

LegendsRoomLV -To whomever is controlling the account. Let me help you with your ground game inside BCT.
Stephan Bonnar you should contact/text Joe Rogan, he understands the punching of people and keyboards.
He'll help explain to you what you did wrong and what you can do next.
He might simply say to you all, you lied to the internet.
That's the simple explanation to it all.

The short of it. Apologize about the venues, permits needed, and any other inconsistent narratives.
Go and gather better support from your fighter-friend circles.

The long of it.

WE KNOW WHO GLEB IS, WE ALSO KNOW HOW THEM PEOPLE'S MINDS WORK:
THEY GET HOT OVER NOTHING.[/b][/color][/size]

No, you THINK you know him and users here.
All of us with different backgrounds, experience, and perspectives.

This guy has the habit of extorting people check out the reference of the guy who gives him red tag
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1012713.msg11266264#msg11266264

This is what we call bait or 'baiting counters' Mr. Bonnar.
The user cyberpinoy is an international fraud and was on several forums.
People who use his content, link to it, signal that they're generally retarded to the environment and users.
There's better content to find about Gleb anyways. If you treat him right he might even dance for you in a pink tutu in a private room  Wink

I understand why you need to raise money for this project as well.
Looking at the net worth of Mr. Bonnar shows $500k.
Asking for $15mil publicly, giving tokens in compensation, for a product/service that doesn't exist yet is insane.
Your personas are known and valued, not here though.

Haha now it's getting silly, to spare our followers and other bitcointalk users from over posting we will refrain from replying to you.
Also looks like you love to have the last word, so you can have it. By now you gave us a very big favour by keeping posting the same thing. People can read for themselves.
But our invite is still open, just drop by The Legends Room if you manage to get there one day and we'll be happy to show you around.

Also don't 'front' or do false signalling (Rogan can explain it to you).
We can see how much interest the project has and how much it has raised in the contract (minus Bittrex) - https://etherscan.io/address/0xb939ef33629bba211688724e401d4f6400c0ee6a (your never going to make 15mil at this point before April). No escrow as well!
The social media outlets you've linked as well show us analytics to weigh your words.

I hope you seriously take in some of the recommendations.
At least communicate with Rogan on what your trying to accomplish or your going to continually embarrass yourself wrestling with Gleb and Pikachu.

Extremely well written. TL;DR for Legends crew - In a space that is unregulated and operates exclusively off of reputation and trust, the worst thing you can do is put a bad foot forward and come off as though you lack integrity. You have an opportunity to prove you are willing to do the right thing, increase transparency for your investors, and receive a pass from some of us in return. The largest mistake you can make is to double down, deflect blame, or otherwise try to bury the situation. That will absolutely seal your fate in this community, where the former will simply let you take your licks and show you have what it takes to survive adversity. That will prove to everyone here you have the right stuff to survive the challenges you will encounter along the way.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]The Legends Room Las Vegas 😍 Gentlemen's Club Membership😍 SALE LIVE NOW! on: March 17, 2017, 09:27:47 PM
So let me attempt go give the executive summary, and both sides can feel free to rebuke anything I got wrong:

1) The folks promoting this are indeed who they say they are, and their reputations are indeed on the line. This does not imply there intent is good or bad, but in all likelihood they are genuinely attempting to follow through on their promises.
2) It's a "promissory" membership to be redeemed at a venue as of yet undefined and as of yet unlicensed or operating. This does not imply a fumbled execution, but rather an execution that can as of yet be measured as successful or not.

From where I sit it's basically:
We intend to do this, but as of yet have not completely followed through. This does not imply Mal-intent, but does mean the risks are raised for investors.

I will simply leave you then with the following thoughts:
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, so be careful.
Most successful products are 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.

Invest accordingly to your risk profile.

My reaction is quite the opposite. It just means fungibility will be as important as ever.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 15, 2017, 01:09:20 AM
Can any one set out the differences / advantages disadvantaged of NEM vs DASH

BTC can handle only around 3-4TPS, DASH can do about 200, XEM can handle thousands

Careful there Smiley The private chain (Mijin) is ~ 4000 TPS currently with beta Catapult tests. The current public chain is hard capped at around 5 TPS or something I think but is theoretically capable of 15 or so but would need to be unlocked with a hard fork. Once catapult arrives, there should be some sort of measured increase in performance in the public network work once some of those features are folded in.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 12, 2017, 11:51:06 PM
Actually this is the composition from 21 December 2016

So BTC isn't the biggest component by much. But of course most every alt price is somewhat dependent on BTC.
Anybody know if/how it has been changed since?

They rebalanced the fund on January 31. You can check here:
https://medium.com/iconominet/iconomi-cryptocurrencies-index-icnx-31-january-2017-rebalancing-cb2b63c8a197#.6m5hu6qvf

Zcash was removed and they added Synereo and Siacoin. They also changed some weights

Synereo... despite the scam and toxic development team? Good job on your homework guys. I think I'll invest my capital myself.

****
My take is that with ICN, you have to report dividends to the government and pay taxes on them. But with ICNX, you do not have to pay taxes on them until you sell them.

Good joke man for me. Where those ICNs are rigged to one person Smiley ? Or where on ETH network any token have owner ?
As you see is IMPOSSIBLE to tax you directly. In EU that works that way you have to sell crypto to fiat make bank transfer and then you report income and pay tax. ICN like ICNX are same in matter of taxation till you sell your dividend for ETH for fiat USD/Euro you have earned 0.
Unrealized profit is not real profit in crypto until you will find fiat buyer you can not say you earned anything.
ICNX and ICN are same in taxation - in my country gains come when you capitalize in fiat profit not by just keeping it.

In stock market people are avoiding keeping cash on account at end of fiscal year they buy stock report 0 income then they sell next day to keep fiat in broker account until you move money in fiat out of stock market you have 0 to pay. This is good tactic in tax dodging.
Besides of that in EU there are countries where you have 0% capital gains Tongue like Estonia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax

But every country is different while your ICN on your ETH wallet are not bound to anyone - but I don't stop you for paying if you really want.

Taxes on your ICN??? STFU lol.

Taxes are an immoral form of slavery in which people are forced to work so that the automobile industry can have its infrastructure subsidized, so that other people's children can learn about white privilege white guilt and prepare themselves for guvmint funded degrees in things like gender studies, so farmers can receive subsidies to make sure unhealthy junk food is cheap and competitively priced, so that soldiers can receive pay for guarding opium fields in Afghanistan, etc etc.

Not paying your taxes is a noble and just form of civil disobedience against an immoral and tyrannical system of wage slavery and capital miss allocation.

Most intelligent thing I have read on Bitcointalk in a long long time.
