541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man sells house. Earns $20,000,000 from Bitcoins on: August 01, 2018, 08:17:17 PM
I was reading godlikeproductions in 2011 and there a man from UK posted a thread saying he sold his house and invested the money in Bitcoins.

After 1 or 2 years, he posted there, he has earned some $20,000,000 from Bitcoins.   Shocked

how do you say? luck helps the brave. I would never have the courage to do such a thing (unless I have 4/5 houses). I hope now enjoy life doing what he dreamed when he did that madness

Lucky for him but I know for sure I won't ever put all my money in one investment especially crypto when it can be so risky with the uncertainty of the market, but sometimes some people just take a leap of faith- and that's what this guy did.
That was a very risky investments so far I've ever hear in my entire life, because you might not able to handle the situations if market falls like what's happening right now. If that man used to survive with bitcoin after selling his house, then it's a huge struggles for him. Though he manages to control his fears, but I don't think he's been doing well before that $20m profit was earned. Panic and anxiety attacks might be able to occur depending on how he managed himself.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting on: August 01, 2018, 02:47:25 PM
Sports betting is very easy than any other gambling.
It is not. It shows that you have never tried it yourself and you are making comments out of the blue. Its as tough as any other risk-based game or game of chance.

Quote
Here you will just bet your money and wait for the result. You will not play by yourself. You will choose only your favorite team and bet on it. If your team performed well you would win the bet otherwise your opponent will.
Exactly. So how you do you expect the team to do good if you have not been following them? Which is why it also needs didication from the gambler and it not exactly "easy".

Quote
There is no big fun in sports gambling just to watch the match till the end.
Watching the match and gambling at the same time are typical of the die-hard fans. But if you want to bet on sports you should not be a die-hard fan because then you would be biased to support your favorite team.

If you've been there to support your favorite teams you won't be able to win for good possible wins. Be wiser in choosing good standing teams for you bet purposes, because failing to do that and you're staying still at your favorite teams it's not guaranteed to have lucky wins. Mostly being biased to your picked teams was having bad days ahead, due to non lucky situations and chossen team lost the game.
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: My prediction on: August 01, 2018, 02:10:52 PM
I predict that even though the current bull run appears to be over, that BTC will not be down significantly below $6000.

This prediction is just based on looking at price variations in 2018. $6000 appears to have support.

Note: Don't anyone trust my prediction. I'm just learning more about price movements and making predictions to see to what degree I'm able to predict the market. Or not.

That is a solid prediction. But question is what is next? Will be this the bottom of this Bitcoin cycle?  When will recovery start?
The prediction is solid just because we had a fall below $6000 in the end of June and in the start of July which was instantly recovered by a quick rise within hours.

This was what I though as well after observing the price movement and the next I would love to talk about is the rise. We have a rising trend in the market and it might happen to continue till we have a bull market with the values crossing the last year’s highest.
If that's what we're looking fo and not the actual market, maybe predictions was making manipulations here. People were always crazy about it, and their world only turns around with the current opinions of different people who had their own thoughts. Somehow it becames more worst, since every ideas went to negative perceptions which made every traders decisions inaccurate.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: August 01, 2018, 12:21:10 PM
Now i can't stop it if im in a really lucky moment.
I've also learned to control my gambling desires and was proven from my winnings vs loses

Be cautious if you are playing continuously as you are becoming addictive and this will prove you costly at the end when you keep losing money and you can;t do anything as you would be so much addictive that you want to win anyhow form the gambling.

Losing money was a very worst frustrations, and managing our emotions is quite a serious problem to deal with. Addictions with gambling is a rotting problem that needs to be minimize from time to time, and corrections will be addressed eventually. We need to changed the bad habits that kills the future of our dreams, so start the corrective actions now and begin a new ways to possible healthy financial growth without gambling. To start over minimizing activities on gambling can be an ample solutions.
545  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io - Now accepting Ethereum!⚽ 🏆 Top Booster Price Boost Promo 🎉 on: August 01, 2018, 12:10:43 AM
I've received a free bet of 2 mBTC. First of all I want to say thanks to the sportsbet staff, secondly, I found that the free bet only gives the multiplier after 1x (so in my case of a 1.7x bet I got just 0.7x).

I thought that this mechanism wasn't very clear at the moment I've used the bonus. I also needed the support to find out a minimum >1.5x bet requirement to be able to use my bonus.

My free bet was still on the way, and excited to receive it soon because 2mbtc can be a good start for us for free bettting. Hopefully, I'll start over at minimum bets and win an optimum amount so it will be fun playing more exciting sport betting games. The support of this site will give us further details, on every concerns  we wanted to address here.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading or Holding Cryptocurrency for long time on: July 31, 2018, 10:26:16 PM
I like to take risks even when the market is falling. but I do it only on strong coins. I don't mind making an investment in coins that nobody knows about, but only at a time of General growth
as it is today, I am also willing to take risks when altcoin prices go down. I prefer to hold in the long run, because it can make a big profit. but not a few who take advantage of this moment for trading every day.
Risking is better than we're going to dump all the way, because longer time holding can give us great potential profit. Most of trader's experiences, it was really proven effective strategies. Day trading wasn't a good example of successful trading, because it pulls down the price value of your coins. In order to become successful trader you should learn how to observe the market, particular on times that btc will going to rise so it affects the market value of every altcoins.
547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the most crucial year for bitcoin? on: July 31, 2018, 09:03:57 PM
For me, as per experience compared from recent two years this was really a the crucialo ne. But it doesn't mean I am losing my belt on bitcoin, and rather much stronger motivations should be needed. Eventhough volatility comes in, think about how profitable it will be in the next coming days because bitcoin always surprises us through unexpected price increase.

Am still waiting for the free 2mbtc, and looking forward to receive it in my sportsbet.io account.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy more and HODL!!! on: July 31, 2018, 06:18:41 PM
If you are willing to buy more then it can surely be a good time to do so.Prices are not so high. You can invest as much as you can and then hold until the price rises.By investing now and selling at high prices you will be able to earn a lot of profits.

You should have a proper and strong mindset upon deciding of buying coins to trade for now. That's good to know if you can do it all alone, because the funds that you need to use was your personal savings. Don't risk it all if you don't have enough of it, the timeline might be so long and possibly you won't survive with the fluctuating market. We're now experiencing much volatile market, so think more times befote deciding of letting go of your money towards cryptocurrency.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN won't die, period. on: July 31, 2018, 07:29:26 AM
Bitcoin will die once there will have unilateral damage. It only happens if there will have serious calamity inside and outside Bitcoin system. No forever in this world because we all leave at the proper time. Bitcoin will definitely remain for many years maybe 100 years above . thanks to bitcoin.

agree with you and me who do not and yet can not believe that bitcoin will die, because as long as it is still needed it is very difficult to happen, the prediction is okay but what if it will happen?
If bitcoin will die maybe it will already happen before, bitcoin will not die because of its amazing features and the huge support on its economy, I believe that bitcoin will never die and it will maybe rise soon. The bitcoin will really rise soon because the market will not going to drop forever.

you are right that the market is affecting people saying bitcoin will die.
bitcoin is not alt coin that has just been created but is almost 9 years old.
not a new thing people say bitcoin will die but the fact is bitcoin keeps growing over time.
Bitcoin has been in the market for decade and it will continue to grow. Bitcoin has not lasted and stayed longer despite volatility, if it has not delivered and brought extraordinary opportunitues. It has helped a lot, and more are becoming aware and educated about this technology. Though it's not widely-accepted, let's all be hopeful and let's continue our support. It has gained not only popularity but also the trust of the public. Thus, I don't think it's going to die that easy.

Indeed, I also was hopeful for bitcoin to stay much stronger in time. Don't think ever think or wonder it will die, because as days goes by the desire of every people grows more stronger. This brought more developments to go further, and with bitcoin's journey it won't end because decentralized currency remains intact to the lives of the people. Somehow other group of individuals might negatively view it into bad impressions, but in the end they're frustrated upon hearing successful stories from bitcoin profits which other people has experienced.
551  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Exchanges Are Coming? But It is OK? on: July 31, 2018, 03:13:42 AM
more competition, it would be better also service that will exist
the community can get more choices, it may be true, if the volume is still small, the effect on the market price of coins is not so great
but, everything will grow in time
Yes i think it would be great to see a competitive market and hopefully could increase the kinds of services we could choose from, but more importantly is the security of one exchanges we wpuld like to choose, or over all ots quality of service we can avail in an exchange.
That's a brilliant idea for all exchange site developers, because this could help old traders to have another chances to earn more profit at lower transaction costs. The reasons why new exchanges were showing up was due to rising transaction fees, so with the current development of cryptocurrency trading competitions we need new exchanges in order to equally distribute the orders. This will help our asset value to grow faster, if you hold enough amout of crypto.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some of the best movies based on gambling? on: July 31, 2018, 02:47:57 AM
What are some of the best movies based on gambling? My favorite is Rounders. What about you ?

There are a lot of movies with gambling themes, my favourite is the Revolver movie where the main character enters in a very dangerous gambling game where he risk to even be left dead. There are some pretty good actors in it, with Jason Statham being the main character. I suggest you to see it in case you haven't already. For other good gambling movies just check the IMDB website database.

Some movies like thus involved with poker game was having crime related scenes like murder and assault. There's one movie I couldn't remember actually the title, and it's with casino house doing poker. I think during that first watch, eventhough am not actually fan of doing gambling but as I've focused watching the movie; that's really the best scene with gambling based movies I've ever watched. Actual strategies was revealed upon decision making, which made the main character analyzed further movements of it's opponents then won over the game.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Statistics about Bitcoin Gambling? on: July 31, 2018, 01:51:38 AM
I have some data from month of June, I was surprise because some of the rating thread make some to be big that maybe not so big.  I dont have all data just some.

I organize by bounce rate:
WebsiteVisit JuneBounce %
anonibet.com1373025.33
jetwin.psless than 500028.34
bitcoinrush.io987633.52
betking.io2462734.22
mbet.io2460639.74
betcoin.ag11698839.91

I think this is what OP ask.
Are you the one that collected this stat or you have some reference with these numbers?

If this is yours how you managed to gather these stats? well I'm just curious to know but if not then put at least the reference/link where you got it.

I am interested to know if there is a website about statistics for sport betting which to show the total number of sport betting websites that accept bitcoin, their overall deposit and withdrawal status so it can give us a better overview of how sport betting is in bitcoin.
Ideas coming in, what if someone can create a thread for these stats? or do we have an existing one?
This thread as per observations, was enough to get updates of the sportsbetting. If somebody will create a thread, it must be accurately detailed with current issues. Hopefully this will give every interested gamblers more reliable feeds from different bitcoin statistical data, which will help them with their goals in betting strategies.
554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction in upcoming 3 Month? on: July 30, 2018, 10:42:02 PM
Move this to speculation. Go there and start speculating about the future price whilst hodlers are the ones profiting by not selling Cheesy
In the next 3 month I don't think we could see $20,000 again but I'm sure that we'll see that price someday.
At the end of last year we saw that the price of Bitcoin suddenly increased several hundred times. And in the first half of this year though its price was slightly lower, but it has been rising again over time. So I think may be something can happen like last year.
It never did such a thing. Moving from $4000 to $20,000 is not several hundred times Cheesy
Anything is possible in the crypto currencies prices,we may see $20K even in one month too,but first of all take that $20K from your mind this is not the maximum price of bitcoin, the prices will move more than that too so keep holding if you want more profits.

These predictions will go further as we hold our bitcoins, and that one month I don't think we'll be reaching out that $20k. More fluctuations might happen with bitcoin market, and one months was too short for that. Three to four months would be an enough timeline before we have to see the great value that we ever hope for, and hopefully other cryptocurrencies will also pump when it happens.
555  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy more? wait till 6000 or 5500? on: July 29, 2018, 03:25:28 PM
I think do not have to wait too long, if there is a chance to get profit then immediately take the opportunity and do not hesitate to start it because the opportunity will always change
Exactly, more delay will only cause the opportunity loss only as the current price is very decent to make up an investment and you can easily manage to get the coins at a very decent rate. So without losing further time, I would recommend you to buy even more as you won't be getting this opportunity back again...

Participate with the bids, and don't wait or hope for another price to fall on Bitcoin. This is a good and trusted investment, so don't compromise the outgoing price development due to interest of buying cheaper value. The motives here was for short tradings and not for the massive btc demand that makes the price more expensive. That's right buying more btc will attract more demands from new coming interested buyers, who has definite trust with bitcoin.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Curiosity of bitcoin prices in the future on: July 28, 2018, 12:04:54 AM
I believe the price of bitcoin in the future will grow beyond 20k most likely this thing will happen this year and the increase has started in these weeks although moving slowly ascertained the price will reach 20k.

The future is a surprising progress of bitcoin price and as to expect a lots of profitable gains, holding is the best options to do. Although we see the current changes in the market value, we should stay calm and don't ever shake your hands when it started to climb up higher. That possibility of $20k isn't impossible, because if the succeding updates will continuously be greener then so be it and prepare to take your gains.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay safe on: July 27, 2018, 08:06:01 AM
hacker is in everywhere and we need to make sure that our account is safe. there are many ways that we can do to save our account by doing activate 2FA (this is the most important things that we should do), activate email verification for withdraw and activate 2FA for withdraw too, save our login and password in the safe place, don't forget to always double check the site before we log in, and if something looks suspicious, it's better to not log in into that site until it's clear.

Indeed, we can't prevent them if they wanted to intrude to us. But the only important ways to prevent others break our fence of safety is to  make all your personal keys confidencial. Goodgle authenticator apps is one of the suggested security that will primarily help you. It allerts any suspicious activity, because your email will be notified everytime when there's an attempt. Nowadays 2fa was the most in demand options which could brought more secured access to everybody, with respect to online web wallet access. Hopefully myetherwallet will have it soon, as part of the development of their service.
558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: July 26, 2018, 10:46:09 PM
I don't know what cash is good for. Any question with "saving for x with y vs cash" the answer is always Y. Saving cash is the stupidest thing. You can buy stocks, you can buy gold, you can buy bonds, you can buy real estate if you are rich enough Cheesy However you save for your kid, do not save with CASH, cash devalues, save with something instead of cash. Which brings me to the topic, I would rather save for my kid with bitcoin than cash for sure but I would diversify and get a lot more than just bitcoins.
It should really be elaborated further more or op just simply means out about Cash alone or might he generalize it all? I do agree on the fact that cash do possibly inflates and no one can predict on what would possibly happen on next years to come or on future. Saving up cash wont really give you assurance but it would be much wiser if you would diversify into those other assets that can generate income or money because it cant cause up possible problems.
Bitcoin savings can do a great profit instead of saving cash for your childrens. The cash being stored at you bank savings was only having smaller inflation rates, then everything turns out worthless. But with digital currency, although its volatile in the marketplace it do give us much higher chances to enjoy it potential growth to double your money no or even tripled. Although we can't predict, at least your investments has a very good meanings for the future of your family.
559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Great run with Bitcoin! on: July 26, 2018, 08:27:19 AM
In the past months we are experiencing a bear trend
the "bear trend" ended about 2 months ago. you are way too late Cheesy

It all depends on the charts you're looking at. If you purely focus from last year's peak to where we are right now, you'll see a clear pattern where we constantly hit lower lows and lower highs. In order to actually jump out of this bearishly tinted down trend, we have to break $10,000 without it being a false (short lived) breakout. It's not going to be easy, but it's not impossible either. Give it time and we'll see where we go from here; don't consider the market to be out of the danger zone already.

If we dip below $6000 again, prepare for much lower levels.

the bear trend began when the drop started which was this year after at least 1 month of rise not last year where we were still rising up. and the patters has so far been with a fixed low which we hit at least 3 times and nearly the same high in $9k levels which we have tested at least 2 times and we are possibly headed there right now too.
the only problem i see with the current rise is that it is littered with ETF news so it can be affected by it greatly and that can determine the result of the current rise.

we have already dipped below $6000 multiple times and each time it couldn't last so i wouldn't worry about it that much. it is a strong support which won't be broken with no reason.
No matter what happens with the price whether a bouncy fluctuations, it doesn't give an impact to strong holders. When you knew the exact capabilities of bitcoin, it will have to reach for further potential price which will be based on it's history. With last year's run we already seen how profitable bitcoin was, so we're heading towards $9k it could have much greater potential to more than $20k. I could've predict for this year, but certainly it will in sooner time.
560  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What's the best cryptocurrency wallet that you can trust? on: July 26, 2018, 05:45:36 AM
I believe electrum, Coinomi bitcoincore and mycelium are the wallet much safer to have your funds.

In this list some of the wallets about find in android and in appstore too. Take the choice upon your convenient but mostly you can see the wallet on Windows version normally. Please check the good one and have the funds at there.

The most common wallet that I could trust previously was myetherwallet and you only need to keep the private keys at safer storage. Don't get it exposed online, because it may spread and the possibility of being hack is always there. I haven't yet tried using windows wallet, maybe I could use that someday for trials in order to test its capabilities. Am afraid that one day my pc crash, and I wouldn't be able to recover the funds that I had. You're right there's an app wallet that's also legit, just like eido wallet which I personally used 6 months ago until now. It's been securely having seed access keys prior logging in to the funds that you have, so it's a perfect wallet app for me to use.
