101  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favourite sport and why? on: April 01, 2021, 06:20:28 AM
My favorite sport is tennis. When I watched sports channels, I liked watching tennis matches very much. I played very poorly, but I liked watching others play, especially like listening to the sound of playing tennis. Later I started to practice tennis, and the better I played, the more I liked it.

People who have no goals in life will find life boring and empty. People in modern society have the need to realize self-worth. It is good for everyone to work hard to do something meaningful for the society and others according to their own actual conditions. This is also a life goal. As long as he makes contributions to society, it is fine. There is absolutely no need to get ahead and become famous. In fact, this is a misunderstanding of the goal of life.
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe magic real? on: March 31, 2021, 03:42:42 AM
If the magic is like what we see in the movie or fictions, I don't believe that is real.
104  Other / Off-topic / Re: What kind of music do you listen to? on: March 31, 2021, 03:20:59 AM

105  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it so sleepy during the day and full of energy at night? on: March 30, 2021, 03:33:18 AM
If you are doing this for a long time, it is a bit difficult to change. It's good to be energetic at night. If you are energetic, do what you want to do. If you are tired during the day, try to do something lighter and push the things you don’t want to do at night.
106  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best war movies you have seen! on: March 29, 2021, 06:49:44 AM
My favorite war movie is ”Pearl Harbor“ which is almost restores that historical event almost truly. Through the vivid and shocking visual effects and powerful narrative, this film makes the whole film appear very thick. It not only reflects the true history, shows the cruel war, but also conveys the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature and the preciousness of life. In addition to being moved, I will also have profound thoughts about that period of history.
107  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to study well English grammar? on: March 29, 2021, 03:15:24 AM
Grammar learning can be divided into two parts: familiar with grammar rules and master the meaning of grammar rules.
Familiarity with grammatical rules can be accomplished by studying grammar books. For example, you should know basic grammatical concepts such as participles, gerunds, infinitives, subjunctives, attributive clauses, adverbial clauses, perfect tense, etc., and be able to analyze some common grammatical phenomena. In addition to grammar rules, it is more important to grasp the meaning of grammar in a specific context. This process can be completed by reading. The grammatical points can be reproduced continuously in reading, and reading provides a very specific context, so that it can be understood and applied.
108  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do when you miss your loved ones? on: March 27, 2021, 02:44:10 AM
Sadness and pain are always inevitable, be strong to face it, which is the greatest comfort to the dead relatives in the spirit of heaven! ! She/he doesn't want to see how sad you are now. Please remember that the relative has not left you, but always in your heart. If you think this way, you will naturally not bother your mind and will live happily. wish you happy again soon.
109  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you handle stress? on: March 27, 2021, 02:42:09 AM

Smile can make our mood relaxed and make the atmosphere relaxing. It also means great power for people, if we give a smile to others, they will be happy all day.
111  Other / Off-topic / Re: What habit are you most fortunate to develop? on: March 26, 2021, 02:27:06 AM
When dealing with people, I consider not just whether it’s good for me, but for others as well. It’s recommended to help others. Otherwise, when you are in trouble, you will find that no one is willing to help you, which is tragical. Sad
112  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best book on: March 26, 2021, 02:13:10 AM
A brief history of mankind from animals to gods. It may be one of the best books I have read in recent years. It is very amazing. It is not only history, but also a book of natural history. It connects biophysics, economics, politics and society through a macroscopic perspective. Philosophy and other disciplines, if you have intelligible questions in any subject area, reading this book may be able to find a pointer to answer your doubts. At the same time, there are several opinions in the article that are very overturning. After reading it, I discussed with my mother for a long time. As a history teacher, I also said that these opinions are very new and reasonable.

Swimming is the best exercise for weight loss. It is a whole-body exercise that can exercise almost all muscles in the body. It can not only shape, but also enhance cardiopulmonary function. Swimming is a sport that consumes more calories in a short time. 12 minutes of freestyle can consume 836 kJ of calories.

115  Other / Off-topic / Re: Consensus on Colors on: March 18, 2021, 02:53:21 AM
sometimes people conceive different opinions towards some color. like yellow and orange, blue and green, orange and red, red and purple...colors can vary under different lights coz lights have their own color as well. when colors are superimposed, the outcome is different from its parent color Lips sealed
116  Other / Off-topic / Re: Good habits about learning on: March 17, 2021, 03:19:01 AM
review timely, it's very crucial. as is known to us, humans forget regularly and few people can resist this trend. like me, I learn new characters five days a week, then when weekend comes, I review all those words I learnt in the last week days. it proves efficient for me Wink
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Controls Bitcoin's Future on: March 10, 2021, 06:34:45 AM
Chine will definitely not become the authority of bitcoin, nor will it be centralized. China is just one component in bitcoin industry and maybe, with so large a population, many bitcoin holders are Chinese later. China may have its own rule for bitcoin regulation applied to Chinese, like tax on bitcoin, it will not control the whole world.  Wink
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: March 10, 2021, 06:23:56 AM
Some prominent people in bitcoin space says that owning at least 0.2 or 0.3 amount of bitcoin is enough in order to become one of the 1% of population who is surefire to become rich just by owning a fraction of bitcoin, some even says you need to have more than 15 BTC or even more.

[1] https://news.bitcoin.com/this-is-how-much-btc-you-need/

However, I think it would be impractical to limit yourself from those numbers and stop accumulating. These are just statistics to evenly spread the wealth based on supply and the current amount of BTC that is circulating. I personally do not have a speficific number in mind since I aim for long term accumulatation even if it means selling a small amount for my needs -- steady but slow will still suffice.

Just accumulate as much as possible without giving yourself a limit. That's the goal to secure yourself.

when you set a limit for yourself, it's very likely that you slack off when the goal is achieved. like...if you think 15 btc is enough to secure your future, then when you really have 15 btc, you might stop trying and you laze around, which probably leads to the loss of money and ambition as well, then you sell your bitcoin. No limit, keep trying Grin
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: February 26, 2021, 08:36:35 AM
Whether Bitcoin existed or not, the Dollar will end the Dollar's reign.    Roll Eyes

Fiat currencies don't last forever.  They can't.  With all debt-based money, eventual failure is an integral part of the recipe.  It's just how they function.  Some last longer than others, but they will all approach worthless at some point.

More likely the Federal Reserve will end the Dollar's reign,by mass printing more dollars.
Anyway, the US dollar might not be a world's reserve currency after 10-20 years, but it will remain the national currency of USA,as long as USA continues to exist in the next centuries.
USA still has the strongest economy in the world, which means that the US dollar will still be very strong, even though it won't be a reserve currency for many central banks around the world..

emmm...I don't think dollar will be that strong as you said. since the authorities get crazy in money printing, they will know that dollar will devalue consequently. Sad and other counties are not fools who still accept the current exchange rate...
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone over here accepting Crypto as payment ?... on: February 25, 2021, 09:25:06 AM
emmm...you can't dodge gas fee at all. do you know how blockchain works? every transaction in crypto world will be recorded in blockchain and it's the miners responsible for transaction updating. they need gas fee as incentives. if there's someone accepting Crypto payment, either of you would certainly pay the gas fee Smiley
