My BTC deposit shows 8 confirms on the blockchain ... but still AWOL in my account. BFX says they deposit after 3 confirms, but how prompt are they? Guys - can you take a look?

Do they query deposit addresses every hour or something? How patient should I be?

I'm having the same problem. I have 7 confirms already, but the deposit is not showing up.

i am having the same problem, 11 confirmation and the deposit is not showing in my account  Angry

as a trader i see no point in staying with Bitfinex, if they keep shutting down and rolling back with any swings.

I just pulled all my bitcoins out of there.

Is anyone else having BTC withdrawal issues with Bitfinex? I've placed a withdrawal 7 hours ago; after three hours I sent an email to support and haven't received a response. An earlier post by Giancarlo (sp?) seems to affirm that they're replenishing the hot wallet, but thus far nothing. I received a "Completed transaction" about an hour ago, but receiving wallet still shows no deposit.

i transferred 8 btc like 2 hours ago, however i made another withdraw of 5 btc that i have not received. I just sent support an email no response yet

Now this is really interesting! Did you watch this on the charts yourself? I only noticed something was up when the red candle was already quite impressive. Sure enough, /r/bitcoin showed the answer by then.

I was in #mtgox at the time, waiting for the release to be announced. We were all wondering why MtGox was rallying down and at around 620 and falling and then came the release.

I'm sure quite a few others noticed and can verify this.

yup i saw mt gox going down too that why i shorted before the announcement and now i cant close the trade or buy cheap coins thanks to Bitfinex

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: kraken ? on: January 18, 2014, 07:31:22 PM
I've received a response to my ticket saying that the withdrawal must have become stuck in transit and that they would chase it up at there end. I don't even know what this means.

This may be of interest to you: http://gendal.wordpress.com/2013/11/24/a-simple-explanation-of-how-money-moves-around-the-banking-system/

tl;dr: plenty of room for problems in the system of sending money between banks.

Even more so with bitcoin related businesses. I got an email from my bank about a transfer to btc-e, two weeks after it was stuck at a intermediary bank because they suspected fraud.

I never had problems withdrawing from Kraken. If you read the announcement thread, you'll notice that the majority of deposit/withdraw problems were due to banks or users entering incorrect or incomplete information.

Kraken aren't even responding to multiple tickets and multiple emails from several users for several months and you are blaming user error and banks, come on man get real.

support response "We have instructed our system administrator to look into your case and resolve it accordingly."
