Do you accept every player of any country in the world ? Or are there some countries you dont ? And can we withdraw in bitcoins? I see a page about bitcoin deposits on your website, but nothing about withdrawal.
They mostly do accept players from all countries except for " Residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, State of Maryland, State of New Jersey, State of Delaware, State of Nevada or Washington State may not download and use the Software for any purpose." as stated in their terms and conditions. And I did see on the site the withdrawal option for bitcoin however your game play will be in Dollars.

I feel this would make it extremely complicated. This would also not reflect trust in messages which would require another trust rating or maybe an OR condition of all the trusts. When I tend to look at different members on the forum, I might not be on the marketplace section while doing so and can miss his trust on there. I see nothing wrong with the current trust as you could just click on the trust and see what it is for and decide if you want to trade with that member.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone tried this LocalBitcoins alternative ?

I have been using it lately. I feel its a better alternative that localbitcoins. The support for localbitcoins isn't too good either lately. They have been avoiding support tickets and have been charging my 0.0011 for fees to send bitcoins out of my account to an external wallet.

Isn't that a bit misleading. Basically since it describes the levels it doesn't mean winning. To get the maximum amount of faucet it requires us to have wagered 2K BTC from the table, and there is no way you will get to that level just from your faucet claims and rolling that at 98%. Even though you might get to Level 3 or 4 in a couple of days, but that faucet amount wouldn't be enough to win.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone out there completely control all of a coin?
|

Obviously single ownership of a coin wouldn't be feasible. Lets say I start a poker site. What percentage of a coin do you think I would need to own? The reason I would want a large percentage is because I want the coin bootstrapped to my site so the more popular it gets the more value is add to the coin. I guess it would be similar to how the bitcoin was bootstrapped to silkroad in the early years. So in theroy lets say I have 30% of a coin and start my poker room it takes off and I have thousands of players. The coin was valued at $1 when I started now its at $2. Now what if when I started I only list the coin on one exchange, mine. That should increase the value immensely when my poker room takes off right? Other exchanges are going to buy large amounts thus creating the demand?
It all depends on how successful your coin becomes. If the site is famous, only then the value of the coin might go up . But since it would probably not have any other use except for being usable only on that site , therefore it could go down as well. In the start unless you have all the mining and other things, the value will likely go down. Also it will not be straight away added to an exchange just because it is just another altcoin. In the start you could premine and take control of a certain amount of coins, and have it distributed someway to get people to play on site. Having people buy it to play on the site isn't an appealing option, unless there is also a way to convert those coins back to bitcoin if the coin is not listed on an exchange.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are 'very excited' said Bitpay

I think this is rather bad for bitcoins. Blockchain is one of the most crucial technology of bitcoin. If banks employ the blockchain tech for their own transfers, they will probably not end up using bitcoin but will rather make a digital blockchain without the need for bitcoin which could be supported by something else just like account transfers. And once they bring this technology to the mainstream public business as well , they will just use something like mobile wallets to transfer money and the only advantage of bitcoin then would be the almost 0 fees and anonymity.
Is it even anonymous since you still leave behind a bitcoin address Well yes I would say thats a deep level of anonymity. If I was to send some bitcoins to your address there would almost be no way for you to know my name and email addresses or other details. All you will get it my bitcoin address. Sometimes people require that anonymity for a lot of things which won't be the case in case of the banks.

dont play direct dice its rigged the house win number 0 meant to be 0.99% chance to appear. It appear all the bloody time!!!
I would say verify your bets if you don't think its fair. Since they are provably fair, you shouldn't haev a problem verifying the bets and making sure its fine. It has a 1% chance to appear and I have seen it appear 3 times in a row, so its definitely possible.

Economy / Gambling / Re: Why are there so few players at web-based bitcoin poker websites?
|
on: June 19, 2015, 08:28:23 AM

I'm not poker expert or something, but I think that serious poker players prefer games IRL over clicking on web..
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't play poker all that often, but really there is no substitute to facing your opponents, having a showdown, and going home the victor or loser. I have tried online poker but it lacks that certain thrill I get from conflicts. The only advantage to online poker is that i can do it in my underwear. None of that are reasons for lack of traffic on Bitcoin poker sites. Pokerstars and Fulltilt usually have over 50,000 players online most of the time, so there is clearly no lack of players for online poker. And a huge part of poker players are from countries where its banned. So that doesn't explain the reason why there is lack of traffic on bitcoin poker sites. I feel the reason is probably alternatives to Pokerstars like Americas Cardroom and other sites that accept players from these countries. They are more prefered than bitcoin poker. Also the price swings of bitcoin probably kills their bankroll management.
