4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Eurocoins lets make a new fork on: August 17, 2011, 11:41:54 PM
does that mean someone has to come up with a USBTC so that the eurocoin has something to follow...

I really don't care one way or the other, but the site admin will be able to check the posting IP addresses, granted they could be using different computers but that's a lot of trouble to go to.

What did I really just chime in? Dam, as I said I don't care

I've got about 1,100MH pointed at i0Guild, but never get a share, they just won't keep connected, seems only 8 people can connect and hence get any shares...
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Ixcoin fork -> I0coin on: August 16, 2011, 09:53:34 PM
I'm trying to solo mine, got the daemon running and 2 cards seem to have connected using guiminer but I only get stale hashs is that right even for solo mining?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: August 16, 2011, 02:25:24 AM

Yup thanks guys, I've been over those pages many times, I took the v all the way up to almost 1.3 and still no go, I've got it stabalised at ~413 now so I'm happy
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Raising the clock reduces hash rate? on: July 29, 2011, 03:26:01 AM
Hi,

I have a new XFX 6970 running on Win 7 x64 with the 11.6 drivers and 2.4 SDK, I'm using guiminer with Phoenix and the following:

-k phatk VECTORS BFI_INT AGGRESSION=11 WORKSIZE=128 FASTLOOP=false

I've over clocked to 975/700 with 1.2v using Trixx I get about ~406 to ~411 MH/s

If I raise the core clock to 980 MH drops to ~400
If I raise the core clock to 985 MH drops to ~250!  Huh
If I go above 985 I get a freeze, I understand that  Smiley

Can anyone explain why?

Thanks

Trip

Sorry dude, life is getting in the way at the moment... Friday and over the weekend I'll have time to test
17  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LinuxCoin A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go. on: July 27, 2011, 06:53:39 AM
To create it directly on the LinuxCoin drive,

boot from usb
sudo mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt
dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/live-rw bs=1M count=600
mkfs.ext3 -F /mnt/live-rw

In this example the 600 represents a 600MB file and /dev/sda1 is the name of the usb key

Hope that helps

Trip

Excellent work sir! I'll be putting it through its paces as soon as I get home from work!

Request to everyone else: Please if you know how to use one of the new features (or any of them that are not in the WiKi add them!! Smiley

This will save drgr33n from having to spend time doing it, when we can, and its the least we can do for him, and it will also prevent a lot of questions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you also have the auto.sh file that runs after boot?

Code:
#!/bin/bash

xhost +
echo $DISPLAY > /home/user/.display
lxterminal --command "/usr/local/bin/startminers.sh"

I think this might help Kermee debug the problem, I'm having it too, whenever I've seen xhost + used it is usually always after an

Code:
export DISPLAY=:0
