The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

Remember guys this is a FAKE post.
Reported to moderator.

I don't think anyone cares anymore. Even the dev's don't show up here to take care of anything except on an
extremely rare day. Dev's are worthless now that they're all multi millionaires. Just get prepared to be
left hanging in the near future.

Wow..arent we an ingrate.

Feel free to build a competitive miner…im sure it will be great (not).

Everything I said is true and the proof is right here in the posts.
They have all but disappeared.

I have to say. Im with miner29.

What you try to say?

Why devs need to be here? Here is great community and guys to help you if you encounter some problems with PM. PM is solid and updated IF NEEDED. Devs not here to reply every damn bug/problem/question.
They have done their job by providing the software and keep it up to date.

Do you think example the betterhashminer is better because they provide noobie forum and hanging around in the reddit/facebook/twitter?
There is companys like betterhash/cudominer in every aspect of life. There is professional tools for small groups who know what to do and  tools what everyday folks like you (if i understand your whining right) who need to little bit push everyday so they can feel secure, intepended and be part of something.

This game is not for everyone so i think you need to find out new hobby if you "scare" about current situation.
Mining with current PC's is so much easier what it was. "Mining" is old af. There was some sketchy shit back then when bitcoin released and if we compere phoenixminer to old times -Oh boy mate- You have not seen shit.

If we speak about future support. PM dev's have done their product with sight of long term use. Current PM version is supported and expected to work until 2023 (epoch +500), it works automatically in "customer" perspective. Devs get their share from mining, thats for sure. If they are multi millionares by now, It's F---ING AWESOME. How that even bothers you and how it is a problem. Do you think example betterhash doing their thing because they are angels of god and not making any money? If so, you are so wrong.

Edit:
i also have to mention that PM is only mining software what provide so much configurations that you can literally setup your rigs with only one configuration file. Only one. You dont need afterburner or other programs to tune your rig. You just open the damn config file and use PM to do everything. Works every time. There is nothing to compere if we speak about PM optimization or tweaking opportunities.

i dont even want to mention hashrates. Oh boy PM is gold so many ways. And it suppose to be BAD if devs get their money.... sheeeeesh!

You probably missed that Radeon Software 21.6.1 doesn't work with PhoenixMiner and the 6000 series(my 6800 at least has the problem) without manually setting the kernel to 0.   So there IS a need for a new version, and a post to even say the issue is known hasn't been made.

I'm hoping the longish delay this round is so they can implement new features.  The RX 6000 cards don't auto tune and have mining intensity issues at the moment.

I agree that at least getting a development update would be nice.

What's the best setting for the AMD RX 6900 XT ?

As far as I know, the settings are the same for the 6800, 6800 XT, and 6900 XT.

Lower the frequency to 1400 to 1600 at 793mv, make sure it's stable of course.

Turn on Fast Timing for the memory, then run the memory at 2100 to 2150, once again whatever is stable.

Should net you 64+ MH/s at 135W.

Also, if you have a display attached to the card, you'll have to lower the -mi (mining intensity).  The driver can crash out (assuming you're in windows), my card lost a very small amount of hash at -mi 4, but became 100% stable.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Problem On XFX RX580 8GB Windows on: May 07, 2021, 10:58:55 PM

Sounds similar to the mining intensity issue with RX 6000 cards on windows 10.  The Devs might have set the -mi value too high for  your card.  Try lowering the -mi value until you just start to lose Mh/s, for my RX 6800 it's about -mi 4.

What average hashrate do you end up with for your RX 6800?  Have you tried the April driver + 5.6b?

64 MH/s on the dot, PM 5.6b and AMD 21.4.1.  Mem set to 2150 and fast timings.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Problem On XFX RX580 8GB Windows on: May 06, 2021, 05:18:13 PM
Hello,

I have AMD RX580 8 GB with the driver 21.4.1 also phoenixminer 5.6b which would be perfect for this driver BUT there is one problem when I Tune my GPU and turn of FANS on 50% every time it crush in like 10 or 15 minutes later I don't know what's going on also this problem was early drivers and the AMD error Say "We detected a driver timeout has occurred on your system. A bug report has been generated. This report could help AMD find a solution... " Compute mode is turned ON... The miner working on Windows 10...

any ideas? please help me <3

Sounds similar to the mining intensity issue with RX 6000 cards on windows 10.  The Devs might have set the -mi value too high for  your card.  Try lowering the -mi value until you just start to lose Mh/s, for my RX 6800 it's about -mi 4.

Hi guys,
Anyone having trouble with AMD auto-tune ? ("z" runtime shortcut more specifically?) I keep pressing "z" and it doesn't start auto-tune, stuck at -gt 15

Is this an RX 6000 card?  They do not currently tune.  The default -mi is also set too high on RX 6000 and can cause driver time-outs and crashes.  Lowering it to ~4 fixes this with only a slight Mh/s drop.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 20, 2021, 04:20:00 PM
I've had a good experience with 5.6a so far, but, I have an RX 6800 and want the latest drivers for gaming.

As far as I can tell, this release is focused on support for the newest cards and drivers, the driver no longer crashes like clockwork and the newest opencl kernels work.

Hopefully we'll get some new features coming through in the near future, but it seems less likely than ever since I'm sure phoenix took a big hit from the Nicehash attack.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 18, 2021, 02:21:58 AM
Nvidia cards have always been pretty kind to me tuning wise.  I love my AMD cards, but they like to crash when pushed too far.  On a 1080 you'll want to tweak it manually as much as possible since the base hash rate is just OK.

Manually overclock it using afterburner starting with memory.  With phoenix miner running, just push the memory frequency up until you start to get artifacts or your hash rate drops, you can probably run the memory pretty close to a gaming overclock level.  Once that's maxed out lower the core freq until the hash rate starts to drop.  Once that's done just lower the power limit until you get a hash rate drop.  You might get some lag or glitchiness,  but like I said, Nvidia cards are usually pretty easy to tune this way.

Longer term you'll want to monitor for excess stale or incorrect shares, but unless you're on a 30 series card, the random incorrect/stale issues are pretty rare.

hello guys,

can someone help me what are the perfect settings for gtx1080? i have one in pc and want to mine a bit (i have adm rigs, so dont know about nvidia setttings much Cheesy)
what + core and mem, PL and other settings? straps or somethng?

thank you

I have a Vega 56 card in my Ampere rig.
It's a good card, with the rig timings I can get 48 MH/s using Team Red Miner.
But I can't get past 43 MH/s using Phoenix Miner.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I tried some settings, but there isn't much I can really do, to my knowledge.
I'm trying to switch my rig to Phoenix Miner (I'm using Trex + TRM right now), but I' don't get why I'm loosing so much on Vega.
Any advice?
Thanks for your help.

One might be better than the other, or one might be reporting hashrate higher.

Make sure one miner isn't giving a large number of stales or incorrect shares, then run each one for at least 24 hours (the same duration on each obviously) and see what your actual share counts come to.  That's the only way to see if there is any real difference.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 17, 2021, 05:36:34 PM
Hi, Im still new to mining and trying to figure stuff out as I go.
Anyway I have 3 issues atm

1. Recently one machine just closes randomly, its ran for over 100hrs no problems but now it seems to lose stratum randomly.
Machine has 3070 and 1070 in it atm. I just changed to the SSL port on pool, no clue if this will help.
Is there any way to solve this? Which leads to issue 2 below trying to make a restart for miner.

2. I am trying to OC a 3070 and 1070 by command line in a .bat so I can use -mcdag 1 for Phoenixminer, How do I go about writing it for each GPU?
-mcdag 1
-GPU1 -powlim 50 -cclock -456 -mclock +1407
-GPU2 -powlim 60 -cclock +203 -mclock +263
Would this work? Not sure if I should just try it. Eidt: Oh I just realised Im not sure how to set the fans either Sad

3. Finally last issue is 6800xt im using newer drivers 21.3.2 and have to use -clkernel 0
I get message "Unknown OpenCL driver version! OpenCL platform: OpenCL 2.1 AMD-APP"
Phoenixminer tells me I get 20%ish stale shares but still get 60-70mh/s over time,
when I check my pool website it says normally 3% max is 5%.
Is this actually an issue also considering Im in Australia and pool is in Asia. Get 160ms share returns.
If i did downgrade to say 21.1.1 would this even make any difference?

Thank you to anyone who can help me with any of this.

The stales are absolutely from the opencl kernel.  Downgrading the driver is the right move and will allow you to use the optimized opencl kernels.

If you game on that rig and want the newest drivers, teamredminer does work well on the newest drivers, while we wait for the phoenixminer update.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 14, 2021, 04:41:27 PM
got a new strange problem and have no idea how to fix it. phoenix 5.5c amd 20.5.1 windows 10 fall creator update. 7x ref vega 56/64 all with morpheus coolers (so no temp problem). the system was mining for a month stable but now every 1-2 days gpu1 sais 4556765645 mh/s and crashes the miner. drivers do not reset, i just need to wait till windows closes the miner so i can restart it. any ideas?

I've gotten this error on my Radeon VII when I push the OC just a hair too high on the core.  My other GPU's continue to report normally, so your GPU 1 may have degraded slightly.

Try scaling back the core freq on that unit 100 mhz and see if everything stabilizes.

Ok I'm lost and very new to mining.  I downloaded the latest version of PhoenixMiner followed the readme.txt and I keep getting an error that restarts the miner.

This is a driver error, either reinstall your AMD drivers (not the current beta version as it will cause this exact error), or you can use ANY version of the AMD driver and use the -clkernel 0 command to use the generic open cl version.  This will work with any AMD driver, including the latest version if you want them for gaming, but the generic open cl kernel will have lower hash and more stale/incorrect shares.

I am having problems with a RX 6800 XT, it gives me driver time out error after 30 minutes , 10 minutes, 2 days so it is random.I have 2 of these cards and one Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti and I am using this latest miner 5.5 from Phoenix. Is there any solution to this ?
The RX 6000 cards do NOT like the default Mining Intensity.

I use -mi 4 (-mi 1:4 as it is my second GPU) on my RX 6800, it fixed the stability issues 100%.  Depending on your build a different value might work better, I just lowered -mi on the card until the hashrate began to go down, 4 was the first setting that made it go down just a hair (about .5 mh/s), and it works AMAZING!

For anyone using RX 6000 (RX 6800 in my case) cards on Windows 10 experiencing driver, miner, or OS instability:

Lowering mining intensity (-mi) to a lower value, where you just start to lose hashrate, can bring your stability to ~100%

In my case -mi 4 completely ceased driver timeouts and crashes...for the price of .3 MH/s when no other applications are open.  My system remains stable no matter what other loads I place on the GPU.

My average hashrate is up...since I never have timeouts or crashes now!
