Thanks to our users, who had left a feedback on the website, we have added a new feature!

From now, the price is not only in dollars, but you can set it to any text you want. For example: "$1000 or 100 BTC", "10-15 BTC" or something similar.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: windows like batch files on linux? on: July 15, 2011, 04:16:00 PM
Hmm, if you are using LinuxCoin with GUI, then you must open Terminal window to start miners...
I cannot imagine other ways of doing this Tongue

Just don't mine on NVIDIA cards Smiley That's the solution!
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Linux noob trying to run bitcoin via SSH on: July 15, 2011, 10:00:00 AM
I not anyone or know any of these guys but I suggest letting one of these guys help you.
The web will often fail you with outdated info when comes to linux, it changes frequently.
Having someone that knows current info and can show you or help you fix things is invaluable.

Teamviewer is excellent too.
Teamviewer has an ability to record the session also, so you can go back and watch exactly what they did, in case you want to setup another one or ever need to set it up again for any reason.
it also has a browser interface.

Speaking about Teamviwer and other remote desktop software - it is impossible to use them with mining rigs, because they use your video graphics adapter to render image for your remote session, but VGA is already working hard to mine some bitcoins for you, so it's lagging awfully!

My last time, I wasd trying to use Teamviwer with my rig - I just saw black screen and nothing more Wink so I don't think it will be a good wayfor this...

So I am still new to Linux. I have created a file using leafpad to run phoenix miner for me. I made it an executable, and it does run, but I do not see it, there is no terminal window, and I would like one to be there so I can see the progress...

What do I have to do to run it with the terminal window open?

How do you start your scripts?
What linux distrib do you have?
Do you run a GUI?

I think, I will make a Ruby on Rails gem to work with such Gateways easy. I think, it could be a great improvement in current situation with setting bitcoin payments on your websites...
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT - Easy persistent USB key based linux for dedicated miners/mining farms on: July 15, 2011, 05:57:14 AM
I, currently, have working and fully configured LinuxCoin install. What do you think, should I switch to BAMT?
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is your mining speed? on: July 14, 2011, 08:33:55 PM
2x 6990's —> 1500-1600 Mhash/s Tongue
9  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Set up on a USB? on: July 14, 2011, 08:08:21 PM
Of course, there is a solution for you. It's name is LinuxCoin!

You can make a persistent install on USB flash drive, so it will use part of USB to store special Linux version with everything working right out of the box, and part of USB to store files between restart.

We are using this Flash Drive in our setup quiet successfully! So check it out Wink

А почему вы не хотите просто перевести все в облако? За деньги такого компьютера, можно в облаке пару лет держать сайт помойму...
11  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How long does it take you to make one btc at current difficulty? on: July 14, 2011, 11:21:29 AM
We are mining at 1500 Mhash/s with 2x6990 — 0.85 btc a day...
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any rails gem to provide bitcoin payment on website? on: July 14, 2011, 08:19:29 AM
Thank you. Will try to discover your code Wink

It would be cool, if there will be any gems for this, that would right out-of-the-box. Maybe should start coding one Smiley
13  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: what is the ideal GPU temperature? on: July 14, 2011, 08:13:18 AM
I've read somewhere, that every 10°C above 80°C will decrease your graphic cards lifetime twice.

So if it 10 years normally:
- 90°C will make your VGA's lifetime 5 years
- 100°C — 2 year and 6 months
- 110°C — 1 year and 3 months
- 120°C — 6.5 months
- etc.
14  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What temps do you keep your GPUs at? on: July 14, 2011, 08:10:09 AM
2x 6990's — 80-84°C

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Is there any rails gem to provide bitcoin payment on website? on: July 13, 2011, 08:16:20 PM
The subject says all.
I'm looking for a gem to add btc support to my existing web app. Is there any?
18  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Business Idea Looking for Investor/partner on: July 13, 2011, 08:07:16 PM
Do you really think, that it is possible to create games like they are on PS3 or Xbox, for example?
I think it must be an amazingly reach investor, or it will fail. I think we must convert existing business to bitcoins, but not create new ones.
But, of course, it's just my opinion...
19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: In a dual graphics configuration, which graphics card hates life more?Top or Bot on: July 13, 2011, 07:55:12 PM
Theoretically - top card.

But I was tracking temperature of my 2 x 6990 video cards and cannot really say, which one has higher temperature.
All cores are behaving strange — every core randomly gets higher temperature during the 2-3 days. So they are changing each over in high temperature...

Anyone can explain this?
20  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why has the network jumper to 14 terahashes? on: July 13, 2011, 07:52:38 PM
I think we have a hidden "big player" in bitcoin mining... It has a lot of GH/s power and is turning it on just before difficulty increase/decrease to make mining more unprofitable. That way it knocks out small miners and will free its mining process in the future.

What do you mean about this?
