IMHO 42 ZEN is too low entry level for a Service Node. Whales would be able to manipulate the whole network.. Make it at least 100 ZEN and a reward ratio miners/nodes/governance at 65%/25%/10% Nodes are important and they should be well paid.
I disagree. The whole point of the low barrier to entry is to have enough independent nodes.. Wrong. The count of the nodes doesn't depends on the entry level but on the expected annual income. I doubt there will be many at 3.5% block reward. The different entry level attracts different type of investors - newbies or pros, smart or not, rich or not, long term or not, etc. 100 ZEN entry will attract more smart, responsible long term investors, and more important, it will lock more ZENs at nodes so there will be less free ZENs at the exchanges. Higher demand at lower supply - you know where the price goes..

I am not an experienced investor. I held Bitcoin for a little bit and have sold a lot to take the plunge into altcoins.
But there are just so many. So I have researched at a brief level all the coins that caught my eye. 58 in total. I have summarised them as a one liner and would like your feedback as to what you agree or disagree with. Don't be offended if I have not been favourable to your darlings, like I said. I am going off what i found and my own experience. It was a bit of fun after all.
That said correct me if I am wrong and back me if I seem to have got a coin right. Nimiq No actual project yet. Already at $1 and miners moaning that it isnt worth the time
There is no actual mining on this because the mainnet starts in December, so.. (test)miners couldn't moaning on anything.. 1 NIM equals 10 NET (which is tradable now) and now is something about $10

Hello There is something I dont understand so i would like to take an example. I Suppose : 1 BTC = 6000 tz = 2000 (we use bonus 20%).
The Ico end with : 50000 btc at 2000 ( for 1 bitcoin) = 100 million 250000 eth at 200 (for 1 eth) = 50 million or = 25000 btc
So they will « offer » 50000 btc x 6000 tz = 300 000 000 tz For eth we have : 25000 btc x 6000 tz = 150 000 000 tz
so the available supply = 450 000 000 coins (and never more)
Is it correct or not ?
Thank You
It's correct.. plus 5% interest every year from PoS.. so the total supply will double in 14 years..

A lot of pessimism around this new coin but I thought it was definitely worth a punt so I've invested 1 BTC. With the 1k bonus tezzies it works out I have 6,000 of them and they cost me £0.32 each. So, let's look at some fun calcs:
IF THEY REACH £2.00:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £2.00 = £12,000 (not bad)
IF THEY REACH £25.00:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £25.00 = £150,000 (awesome - and not really that unbelievable when you look at other cryptos and the prices they've achieved in infancy)
IF THEY REACH £166.67:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £166.67 = £1m (again not that unbelievable when you look at the ETH which is higher than this)
IF THEY REACH £217.99:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £217.99 = £1.3m (that's based on the current ETH rate - could happen!)
IF THEY REACH £1,925.95:: Then I'll have a total of 6,000 x £217.99 = £11,555,700 (that's based on the current BTC rate - you never know with crypto!)
So is it worth a punt? Of course it is!
$25 each means 50x larger market cap.. $10B if they collect $200M at ICO - do you really believe it can go there? Aaand... if anyone who wants tezzies participates now, who will buy later?

There is a flaw in the buying process, as there is only a text warning about the 0.1btc limit. I sent two payments: 0.04 and 0.1btc and only the second transaction got converted into Tezos. Does anyone know what will happen with the transaction below 0.1? I hope they will either send it back or convert it into Tezos if the wallet value is exceeding 0.1btc.
Summary 0.1400000 XBT -> 600.00 XTZ 0.0000 ETH -> 0.00 XTZ XBT TRANSACTIONS Transactions hashes 0.0400000 0.1000000
Did you read the instruction before sending your coins? Also contributed 0.044 BTC and when checking it says 0.0442542 XBT -> 0.00 XTZ No where it was stated clear 0.1 is the minimum, they even gave me a QR code for less. If they wont refund AND wont convert to Tezos then its proof this is a scam. https://tezos.ch/minimum-contribution-to-the-fundraiser.html

9,180 XBT 17,496 ETH
Goldman Sucks sucks the cryptocommunity funds.. Decentralization is DONE!

A serious question.. if anyone who wants tezzies participates now, who will buy later? Today's price will be ATH for the next 3 years.. if not forever..

looks like they closed down their slack
Dear all,
Despite using the most restrictive settings for our Slack channel (a discussion website which was being run for the Tezos community) scammers were able to take advantage of the unrestricted webhook functionality to trigger Slackbot into contacting every slack member with a phishing URL.
The safest option for us, at this point, was to shut down the Slack channel completely. We imported the email addresses of Slack participants into this mailing list so they could be informed. We will resurrect a channel in the future, hosted directly on tezos.com.
In the meantime, as a reminder, always access the tezos.com website by typing in tezos.com directly in your browser. Do not follow links, even if they look like they point to tezos.com or if they look like they came from the Tezos team.

Yes, it's a scam. Use only the official site.
