1063  Economy / Auctions / Re: Casascius Silver + Gold Single MS68 on: March 29, 2015, 01:08:32 PM
BTCumping this!

Why bump it?
Isn't 3.6 enough.  I mean, since you got it for free, amirite?
1064  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius Silver Coins - MS67/MS68 on: March 28, 2015, 05:08:38 PM
What is the time frame for these offers?

Meaning, it isn't an auction, right?
1065  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 28, 2015, 02:11:26 AM
Just keep in mind that you need to select 'Mycelium' or manually put in m44 for the der path.
You didn't check, did you? Actually, 'Mycelium' doesn't work. It give the xprv of receiving (external) adresses, and Electrum expects more "general" xprv, to generate both receiving and change (internal) addresses. You need to use "BIP32" and give the m/44'/0'/0' (instead of m/44'/0'/0'/0 used in Mycelium tab) derivation path. It works with first Mycelium HD Account. I didn't check, but next should be like m/44'/0'/1', m/44'/0'/2' and so on.

Actually, I did check.  I know all about it.  In fact, I have a thread on the issues with regards to the diff paths noted in that thread regarding the difference between the android and iOS versions along with the xpub keys.

bip32 site matches the path and keys shown on the iOS version, but not the android version.

3.5, but no higher, unless I bid more.  Smiley
1067  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 27, 2015, 01:46:24 AM

Just look at what Goat did. He bought every coin including multiple 1000BTC gold coins very early on. Bought the 1K BTC coins for $6k each. No one at that time did because they didn't believe in it... and look where things stand now. Lets see where things stand 5 years from now. Smiley

More like people did not even know about them, let alone bitcoin itself, back then.  I didn't.
1068  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 27, 2015, 12:52:21 AM
You don't even need Mycelium to export xpriv from seed. You can use https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/

That is correct.
Just keep in mind that you need to select 'Mycelium' or manually put in m44 for the der path.
Also, keep in mind the keys shown have a diff path on the android version vs iOS version although the resultant addresses are the same.

You can also use pycoin to export those addresses/private keys as well.
1069  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 25, 2015, 08:24:11 PM
Even if it's not available for download, you would still have it installed.
Also, you could always move the coins to another wallet of your choice if that time comes from an already installed copy.

Remember, you still also have the master seed backup, so you can export all the keys and import to other wallets as well.

1071  Economy / Auctions / Re: Casascius 0.5 BTC Silver Series-2 physical bitcoin: NO RESERVE, 30-DAY AUCTION on: March 24, 2015, 02:22:19 PM
As we can see for more than a year, BTC and LTC physical coin from Casascius and Lealana are really a good way to store currency and to make (a really good) profit !  Shocked

Ummm, what?

Not so sure about that.

Buying a Casascius 25BTC even for as low/high as 27 a year ago would have cost you about $21,000.
If you were to redeem it, or even sell for a profit at 28, that would be worth (as of right this minute) only $7,000.

So, I wouldn't call it a store of currency or value, but moreover a store of bitcoins.  No profit yet.
1072  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 23, 2015, 05:07:22 AM

Offering special services, 1BTC...

You win.  I can't beat that.
1073  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 23, 2015, 04:18:12 AM
I hope you're right.

It would mean mine is worth a lot more.
Oh wait.... I don't have one yet.   Shit.
1074  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 21, 2015, 01:50:46 PM

I think people that focus on the grades are a bit weird.

1076  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 19, 2015, 02:28:18 AM

can't go lower than 20. already had multiple offers of 17btc. one day these puppies will be worth a fortune and be desired by many more. i can wait. i don't need the money at the moment. Smiley

I understand.

Not much longer and I will buy 20btc with the $4500 and strike a deal with you.  At this rate, it will only be a couple of days (if that).   Smiley
1077  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 10BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: March 18, 2015, 11:43:08 PM
.. didn't pay attention....

Oh, you paid for it.
That said, I wish my education only cost me $150.  You got lucky.

PS.  My $4500 offer is now at 17.64btc in value.  Soon, that dollar amount will be worth far more than the 20 you're asking.  Heh
PSS.  To find a list of 95% (made that number up) of bitcointalk scammers... Simply   click on members (at the top), then click on 'search for members',  put in  `  for the search.  You get a list of a couple hundred squatted nicks.   Why doesn't bitcointalk wipe them out or ban them?  meh

I offered cash in the other thread.  No reply.
I guess cash is soooo EOL
Your cash offer of $4500 was only the Bitcoin equivalent of ~16.6 btc at current exchange rates. He appears to be pretty firm on his 20 btc asking price.

Heh.
With the price of bitcoin constantly tanking, he will want the $4500 soon enough.   I reserve the right to withdraw my cash offer at any time.

I am paying in BTC.  I don't need docs showing I own the BTC being used to pay.
