Thanks, but it seems that the movie is available again on www.coinlearn.org/movie.php

Yeah!  Unless you want to be hacked, etc.

That page will load and Yes, you can watch the movie; however, it will then start loading all kinds of spyware.

1143  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: January 14, 2015, 10:02:27 PM
Ordered them on the 24th.

Got the email saying the order is complete / shipped on the 8th.

I will update when I get them.

At the rate bitcoin is dropping in value, the coins may soon be worth more in silver value than I paid in bitcoins.  Sad

edit:  Received 1/15  2:30PST
1144  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much is a 100 BTC loaded Casascius bearer bar worth? on: January 05, 2015, 09:52:17 PM
He has a nice offer already for it.. 120BTC from Michail is a more than fair offer.
Honestly, I'm surprised he hasn't taken up this offer. I've never once heard of anyone paying more than 105 BTC for one of these bars so 120 BTC is definitely a strong offer. OP consider this option truly, probably best offer you'll receive for awhile if you're looking to sell it soon.

You mean I'm not a hot chick?

I could of fooled me.

Wait...did you fool me? I think you did. Did you pay women to take photos of themselves with your name on it? I'm really bothered here I was fooled by this. Went to your site multiple times just now and saw different women sadly. Thought you might've been the first rich bitcoin woman I've seen around here...damn.

I said... "I could of fooled me."    And.... I am in at least one of the pictures on the site.

PS.  My offer stands on the 120 as well.  Smiley

You're the first rich bitcoin woman I've met, I salute you.

Thank you.
1147  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much is a 100 BTC loaded Casascius bearer bar worth? on: December 30, 2014, 06:40:07 PM
And this scammer tries again.   Geesh, give it a break.

Note:  0pusdigitus is NOT Opusdigitus

He responded to me directly and said it was in fact a 100BTC bar (not simply a bearer bar later filled with 100BTC).

So, I would happily offer 120BTC for it if he got serious into selling it.  I would love to get it auctioned with an end date, so that I could follow it and bid accordingly.  Smiley

Hi,

If that is a firm and serious offer of 120BTC I would be happy to accept.

Must insist on Escrow though due to the value of the transaction.

As John (John K.) has shown an interest in my thread -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=903268.20

I suggest using him for Escrow.

If you are happy to proceed drop me a pm and ill get in touch with john to make the arrangements.

I feel bad for having to ask this but I'm just not getting it. WTH is the difference between a 100BTC bar / bearer bar loaded with 100BTC.

100 BTC is 100 BTC.

The bearer bar was a blank bar (like a piggy bank) - no funded value.   YOU fund the bar using the public address by putting coins in it.
Those bars go for about 1BTC (approx).   So, if you fund it with 100BTC, then it would have a value of about 101BTC

The 100BTC bar was a bar manufactured (stamped/embossed) with 100 BTC on the face.   There is only so many left (69 currently).  So, way more rare.
This bar already contains 100BTC when Casascius produced/shipped them.  Because they are rare, they are worth more.

In either case, you would pull the sticker to redeem the private key and the coins contained within which would lose the premium price of the bar itself.

The picture in the prior posting is of 3 bars.  1 is a 100 BTC bar, while the other 2 are the piggybank style.  Of course the picture is prior to Casascius having put on the security stickers.

I am interested in buying it.   Have a real price in mind?

Question.  Is this a bearer bar or a 100BTC bar?

dont u have some?
dont u think bars are kinda uglish?
why not sell the bars and get a 1k gold coin?

Yes, but why not get more?

If it's simply a bearer bar loaded with 100BTC, then it is worth 100.8BTC to me.
If it's a 100BTC bar, then it's worth way more than that.   Since the OP hasn't chimed in, I am guessing this is a dead thread or simply a bearer bar.  Either case, if I had a post with 100BTC in either type of bar, I would be replying.  Hint.  (Sending JohnK pictures doesn't answer the original question.  Sad
1151  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Opened 1 BTC 1 oz Silver Casascius Coin (Silver B version) on: December 28, 2014, 04:34:43 AM
I'd be happy to escrow this if needed. Multi-sig is available.

That works for me if I win.

Michail = Sniper got to watch that guy for realz

Pewh - One shot = win auction for cheap.
1152  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Opened 1 BTC 1 oz Silver Casascius Coin (Silver B version) on: December 28, 2014, 02:40:21 AM
Heh.  I have never sniped a coin.  (Only every one I have ever purchased.)   :p
1153  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Graded Lealana 1 LTC coins! on: December 26, 2014, 10:23:46 PM

1154  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: December 25, 2014, 06:06:28 AM
i was gonna buy one but then changed by mind last second during checkout. come to think of it i don't give any shits for football. and wouldn't want to be stuck with dead weight. and that's that.
Then why waste your time even posting and forcing everyone else to read it?
1155  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: December 24, 2014, 07:25:25 PM
I just gave up all together on this..pretty sad sales setup. The whole not being able to buy a Bitcoin piece with Bitcoin is lame..

Have to expect a glitch in the system.

Announce a coin and find out there is limits preset by bitpay was the cause.   It's been resolved, but for the delay, it would appear they reinstated the coupon briefly (which WAS only for the first 50 coins anyway).

1156  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: December 24, 2014, 07:14:08 PM
Got my order in as well.  Yeah. - paid with bitcoin (of course).
1157  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: December 24, 2014, 07:11:44 AM
I would like to buy 5.  Is there a qty discount and/or can the discount coupon be reactivated?  (Maybe via PM?  hint) -- to be paid with bitcoin.
1158  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much is a 100 BTC loaded Casascius bearer bar worth? on: December 24, 2014, 04:21:15 AM

According to http://casascius.uberbills.com/ there are only 69 unopened bars out there.  Pics next time I can get to the safe deposit box.

Since you are specifically quoting the number of Active 100BTC bars (Not simply a bearer bar loaded with 100BTC), I would like to offer 110 (with absolute expectations of going higher).   Awaiting pictures.  Smiley

"No sniping in this auction, so any last minute bids will extend the auction for 10 minutes. "

I love it.   Wondering if that was intended for me.  Heh.
