haha yeah exactly what i tryed to do xD My next goal is to do a cashout to see if it works then i can make a real rig cause it's not easy to do that where i live, all payement way is locked or don't accept my identity cause my country "Morocco" does not accept dealing with cryptocurrency (-__-) so must find a way to handle this. After that i can chase left graphic cards still in market.

Well thanks for trying my advice out.
Most likely the gear was over clocked and tossing errors.
So you now help the card run at a more relaxed and error free speed.
Mining is so profitable right now that the only way to fuck up mining is to burn out the card.
My fear was you were going to do that with the 116% power setting.
I have a rig with 3x 3080 cards.
Eth speed: 273.408 MH/s, shares: 904/1/0, time: 1:30
GPUs: 1: 91.497 MH/s (289) 2: 90.427 MH/s (295) 3: 91.483 MH/s (321)
GPU1: 64C 79% 222W, GPU2: 61C 77% 222W, GPU3: 53C 77% 222W
GPUs power: 665.3 W
note the 904/1/0 only 1 lost share as I make clocks gentler.
the cards do 91-93 each . and just run
if your card can do a relaxed 25.5 and makes 1 of 500 errors
it is better than a stressed 26.5 and making 60 of 500 errors
more money is made as 499/500 x 25.5 = 25.449 net on lower power
vs 440/500 x 26.5 = 23.32 net on higher power.
Plus killing the card is more likely at 116% power vs 100% power.
Same for ram.
maybe 980 ram vs 1000 maybe 900 ram vs 1000 maybe 850 ram vs 1000 maybe 800 ram vs 1000
great setting may be 95% power 950 ram or 90% power 900 ram
play with power
100% at ram of 1000,950,900,850,800. so you tested this at 1000 ram try the other rams
then play with this one
95% at ram of " " " " "
then play with this one 90% at ram of " " " " "
then this one 85% at ram of " " " " "
That is a lot of tests about 20 of them but even if you just do
100%. 1000 ram 950 ram 900 ram 95%. 1000 ram 950 ram 900 ram
you will know you did some good testing. with 6 different settings
Hi dear Philip Thank you, you just save my little card from being burned out as i used max limit of power. I'll definitely try the settings you told me, good luck in your mining dude

Hi Philip Thank you for your response, yes it's same as the one in the link, then you encourage me to use a seconds graphic card, but i don't know about using 80wat for my gpu Is it in oc tool ? i use msi afterburner and there is Core Voltage in % as 0 value here is my oc config First off let me give you credit for asking about your settings. And oh my god wtf are you doing look at your power number 116% give me a minute to fix this for you power limit needs to be 70 not 116 this was a really bad setting core clock can be +0 like it is core volts can be +0 like it is power limit needs to be 70 not 116 this was a really bad setting ram can be +600 to + 850 not + 1000 temp limit of 75c vs 92c fan in the 60-80 range microvolt is 1049 if you lower power setting to 70 I think that will self lower the key is drop the power limit down to 70 and drop the ram down to say 800 Yo Philip Thank you for the time you gives me and for tips, but when i used the settings you told me i got a lower rate 22.44 mhs OMG but when i used mine, dude it rock like a hell, 26.2 Mhs I have a Gtx 1060 6gb super clocked, already overclocked by factory, that why i can't increase core clock it crash my pc instantly But what about Memory clock, i've seen in internet that we use the stable value and in fact 1000 is stable. Power limit does unlock my gpu and can reach 26.2 otherwize it crash my pc cause not enough power i guess Fan speed is on Auto most of time 50, if i do like you told me i need to fix it to a specifi value, but what happen if it need more fan, i tough fixing this value is bad thing is int it ? About Power limit, i think you wanted to say that it's about efficiency and power comsumption right ? if it so well in reality i use a shared electricity with some dudes and it's not a big deal if it needs more power as long as it gives me more mhs but in fact i still pay the shared bill with the others but i think it's more profitable like that !! waiting for your response. so do everything the same but try 90% power. see your hash rate then I could give two fucks about watts per hash. What matters is not killing off gear. no mining gpu should ever run at max power. it simply kills off the gear. Hi I reduced my setting as shown in picture And my hashrate has reduced in the miner but not in the stats in the pool ethermine.org there's event improvement in the Estimated Earnings 0.00151 ETH per day (before it was 0.00147 ETH with a higher hashrate) So i don't understand the fact that before i use 26.5 mhs using agressive oc and result to less earning and now with low oc setting it tells me that i earn more, what's the point ?!! Is its stales that are less happening ? cause i don't know which criteria should i take I'll try reduce memory clock to 800 and see if there's some improovement maybe power limite to 90% regardless of hashrate and see

Back in 2014 I was cheap and instead of buying quality PSUs I would use these no name type of low quality PSUs which were like 450Watts max. I had tons of these because they generally were always included in a computer case and I never used them.
They only had 1 PCIe connector but you would easily make another PCIe connector if you rewired some of the other unused plugs. Keep in mind I used this to run an Antminer not power a GPU rig.
The issue was that the efficiency was crazy bad. It was like 65% or something. So if you are pulling 100 Watts from the wall, 35 Watts is basically lost as heat and only 65 Watts went to power my Antminers.
They also usually only lasted 2 weeks and then would just die. I didn't even run them at 100% load, maybe 70% load and they just died shortly after. I think they are mostly for housewives who use their computer to browse facebook and pull less than 40 watts total from the PSU. But for mining... forget about it.
Hi Adaseb Well yeah my pc was for gaming, but as games sucks today at least for me "prefer metal gear solid 1000 times than the latest metal gear" i switch it to mining, and my first psu just died like in 2 years i think and i just buy another crappy psu -__- Thank for your advice and experiance, i really appreciate that.

Hi
I want to add a second graphic card to my pc to mine ethereum. I have already a pc with Gtx 1060 6gb sc that i use for mining and i want to add another gtx 1060 6gb.
So my question is about my psu, i have a Aero cool 650wat, how do i calculate how many graphic card i can use depending on my power.
My second question is about graphic card choice, is it ok to use another range like gtx 1070 ti ? If so should one miner per graphic card or one to handle them both ?
I use PhoenixMiner and Gminer (i alternate to test them xD)
Thank you in advance for your time to respond me.
Yes you can, even running 3gpus still doable but not good for long term health of your psu, best advice is using only 50% of psu capacity and thats the peak efficiency for psu Thank you Fmz, i think i am gonna do it, but what about cooling, is it enough if i left the left panel side of my pc open or should i use extra fan ? thanx in advance

Hello I can't decide between Phoenixminer and Gminer, in some article i read that mh/s in Phoenixminer is a bit increased and does not reflect the trute, and kinda have feeling that Phoenixminer does generate more stales than Gminer ofthen (well stil 2 stales max in 8 hours). So my question is how to make my choice ? Is it based on mh/s ? Phoenixminer reach 26.555 , Gminer 26.300 ---- Phoenixminer log (mh/s is lower when I am using my pc) ---- Eth: Maximum difficulty of found share: 475.6 GH (!) Eth: Average speed (5 min): 25.415 MH/s Eth: Effective speed: 26.10 MH/s; at pool: 26.10 MH/s Eth speed: 25.484 MH/s, shares: 96/0/0, time: 4:03 I stop Phoenixminer and launche Gminer ---- Gminer ------ +------+----+-----+-----------+------+----+-----+-----+-----------+ | GPU Temp Fan Speed Shares Core Mem Power Efficiency | +------+----+-----+-----------+------+----+-----+-----+-----------+ | GPU0 66 C 47 % 25.35 MH/s 1/0/0 1949 4799 N/A N/A | +------+----+-----+-----------+------+----+-----+-----+-----------+ Bellow a grah of my Gminer data for yesterday and Phoenixminer for last 4 hours https://ibb.co/WD0R3MCWhat criteria should I be interested about ? current hashrate, average, reported maybe should i count how many shares generated by Gminer vs Phoenixminer during specific time in term of code speed and efficiency Gtx 1060 6gb superclocked (+0 coreclock, +1000 memoryclock) Any advice how to monitor my stats?

1% stale is no issue. You are better in this case to have fewer rejected shares. In the case of the 134/1/81...that 81 is almost 40% of your shares...so 2mhs doesnt help if you are losing 4 out of 10 shares. I would need to know gpu and oc settings to advise what to lower. But definetly too high one or both... core/memory.
hi i use gtx 1060 6gb sc with 2 overclock configs low config use +0 core clock which it does not crash my computer, + 1000 memory clock high config use +100 core clock +1000 memory clock My gtx 1060 is superclocked so i can't increase core clock much without it crash my pc WHEN i work on it when i work on my computer i use the low config to prevent my pc from crashing it goes for 25.9 mh/s when i go to sleep i leave my pc on screen saver and i use high config and it did not crash my pc when it's on screen saver. it goes for 26.550 mh/s so the data i mention 134/1/81 is when it was on the high config I did'nt test when using low config to check if i have less rejected shares, i'll test this night and see.

134 accepted shares / 1 stale / 81 invalid-rejected
Here is one off a rig of 1070/1080's
Eth speed: 165.945 MH/s, shares: 1015/0/0, time: 6:58
Something is up with your last number...either internet is spotty (wifi is sometimes an issue i prefer ethernet cable) or OC is too high.
hi I use ethernet cable but about oc yes i can say that it's in the very limit of it. what should i have, invalid-rejected should be 0 or very less number ? Should i decrease my oc ? core and memory clock ? If i decrease oc then my mh will decrease too, is it better to have 26.5 mh/s with invalid/rejected shares or 24 mh/s with less invalid/rejected shares ? for 1 stale i guess ethermine.org "eu1.ethermine.org:14444" does not support long pool i think which lead me to think if i should move to another pool, but 1 stale i think is not bad thank you in advance

Hi I tryed googling this but i can't seem's to figure out what does values (134/1/81) in Eth speed: 26.225 MH/s, shares: 134/1/81, time: 7:28 mean ? it grow and when i restart miner it reset (obviously). Then is it better to let my miner always running or if i restart it for will decrease my earning ? "some time I need to reboot my computer or test new overclocking or another miner".
Best Regards

The option to activate or deactivate dedicated GPU in BIOS may not be available if your CPU doesn't have any integrated GPU on board my question is what type of CPU are you using are you sure it has integrated GPU cos not all CPU has integrated GPU you have to figure that out first
I do have a gpu on board "Intel(R) HD Graphics" and it works when i unplug dedicated gpu but can't make them work together maybe it's bios limitation can't enable options in bios and my motherboard is Gateway Dt71 already try their new bios version of 2012 -__-. My cpu is i7 2600 I don't know what is going on here but I can see that it's your motherboard issue because I have a motherboard here and the BIOS has no settings to activate or deactivate igpu or even graphics card but still whenever I connect my HDMI cable direct to the motherboard I always get a display even when my graphics card is connected Yeah Furryball it depend on the motherboard, some allow the integrated gpu to work aswell as dedicated one same time, not the case for me unfortunatly How about if OP can upgrade the motherboard BIOS first before concluding that it's not working? there are some motherboards like that, after you upgrade the BIOS it will start working or the on-and-off button of PCIe and igpu will be visible, don't give up yet OP Thank you Apostlekin for encouragement But my motherboard sucks, i already apply there second and final flash bois 2012 -___- nothing changed, instead to buy another motherboard just to free some ressources better buy another graphic card but it's not the time to buy anyone now, let's see when my 25mh/s will brough me a new graphic card (i think the exact time when i'll lose the first one xD)

To give you a correct answer I will like to know the name of the GPU you are using to mine, also pools are of different types, I've noticed that if you are solving shares on pool your hashrate report may grow higher, it still doesn't mean anything, if your calculator said you will earn 5$ per day the end result after 24hours will bring you 5$ per day
Hi i use gtx 1060 6gb sc, eu1.ethermine.org

Hi I have seen a significant increase of hashrate when my computer go to screen saver from 24 to 26.550, i wonder know why, is it because computer use less ressources ? if so then how can i go further ? by deactivating some ressources or other staff ? Or is it because when screen saver is on the gpu is not used by windows then it free some ressources dedicated to gpu ? Second question I want to understand difference between current hashrate and reported hashrate, which one is counted ? I have found a highest current hashrate to 44.778 Mhs what is that mean ? see picture bellow Average is 27 and current hashrate to 44.778 as higher current hashrate. any explanation ? Best Regards
