2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi Network on: March 04, 2021, 06:44:38 PM
What do you guys think about this?
It's nah for me. Waste of phone's energy and battery life span.
Pi is a phone app trying to monetize and has over 13 million users.
Does these 13 million users is a legitimate stats from minepi? and are these people have anyway to sell their minepi tokens?

Pi don't use your phone's battery or CPU power to mine. It's just a pre-defined amount set within their algorithm that you get after specific time duration. So it doesn't cost you anything to mine Pi.

I used to mine Pi earlier but now they have started showing their true colors. Everyone will have to comply with their KYC rule to withdraw and use Pi token. Which is really absurd so I am not using it anymore. For a token which is not listed in the market and doesn't require a dime to mine, complying with KYC can be a costly mistake.

It's just an overhyped project which got so much attention but still failed to use this initiative. They even use Adsense to their mining app to earn some money which is funny. A well pre-planned project won't do this also as you have mentioned about their KYC. This coin is not tradable but they have implemented KYC right now which is suspicious.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks is becoming a joke on: March 04, 2021, 03:20:19 PM
Are we been lied to about DeFi projects getting hacked almost every months nowadays? What do you have to say

Everyone is pulling their rugs here. This is not the first time we have seen it though, 2017 was the real big start for projects to suddenly pulling out exit scam and then hackers laying their eyes on crypto because of the huge amount of money involved here.

Probably it's becoming a joke, so it's either investors move away and choose not to be the victim, or people are going to take the risk. It's their choice.

When many new Defi projects are introduced day by day then it's widespread that some of them being hacked or rug pulls by the dev. It's not possible for everyone to check the security measure that has been taken to prevent any hacking activity. So be cautious about any new Defi project or do more research about the protocol they are using for security.

6  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 03, 2021, 02:12:31 PM
How would you define what is to be "rich"? Is it about having enough for living or is there something else that you would be looking to accomplish to be rich?
Is it 1 million USD? Is it 1000 bitcoin? what are your thoughts?

Everyone has their own opinion. In general who has enough money to overcome their difficulties is rich. But what I think is who is satisfied with their life is rich. This is very subjective for every people so many may not agree with me. But trust me you will find the answer if you look at what do you need? what do you want? and what do you have?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs, DeFi, NFTs...next could be? on: February 25, 2021, 05:13:14 PM
I think the IDO saga is already here., but as for community attention and finance industry, we need more traction. just like Tradefinance or DeFi

There are many new projects that are offering IDO like POOLZ, Polkastarter even coin base is offering IPO. There is not much difference between ICO, IEO, IPO, IDO. They are mostly the same with some rules or different ways and places.

Well, There's Defi, and there are NFTs. But is this all? We're in 2021 with powerful tech and finance leapfrogging with Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology. Cryptoverse has redeemed itself as it's not merely a speculative asset or drug/dirty money but something of actual value and utility. This post sheds some light on an unpopular area of utilization of crypto, Trade Finance. Prevailing Problems with Trade Finance are 60%

of SME trade finance requests are denied and 1.5 trillion USD is the resulting global trade finance gap. The core reason behind these problems is Trust. ďAn importer and exporter, if they donít know each other, they start from an element of mistrust. The importer doesnít want to pay unless he sees the merchandise and the exporter doesnít want to ship unless he sees the money. So one of the two parties has to take a risk." - Roberto Mancone

SMEs don't have the liquidity to produce/send goods upfront. Banks don't trust the SMEs that they'll be able to pay back, the buyer doesn't trust the vendor with the goods hence cannot pay upfront. Blockchain-based projects appropriate the Assets Tokenization(NFTs), Decentralized Exchanges, Trustless Liquidity, and Debt MarketPlaces(based on smart contracts) to bridge the gap in trade finance.

There are some projects already out there that have solved these problems and are gaining institutional attention. Centrifuge TinLake and Persistence(Comdex app) are two such brilliant projects. The former is focused on the west while the latter is focused more on Asia. Persistence is based on a tendermint based chain(cosmos) and Tinlake is substrate-based. You can understand the importance of these by this post.

I strongly believe in the coming future we'll be seeing more attention from retail and enterprise investors. Comdex application is already live with real enterprises trading commodities, with already $50M+ in trading volumes. Development and more advancement in this segment are unavoidable. Open to discussions and criticism

Defi hype almost over and now the only a strong project will survive. NFT is still quite popular and some project like Rarible, Dego is offering this kind of service. NFT could be the next trend.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / The future of AVAX on: February 25, 2021, 05:03:41 PM
When I first introduced to the Polkadot project one of my friends said that AVAX is better than Polkadot. What do you think about it, AVAX is really better than polka dot because Polkadot is considered to be a good alternative to the ETH network. Also what could be the value of AVAX at the end of 2021? It already touched 60$ per token which is much higher than the ATH of DOT.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Insane Gas Fees on: February 25, 2021, 04:41:17 PM
Last night I sent tokens from my personal wallet to exchange, and it cost me $50. I'm also waiting for a low fee to unstake my liquidity pool. Hope there is a solution for this all.

That fee showing in OP is for claiming bounty rewards for DEGO. Actually, the smart contract that was created for claiming DEGO was ended early so later on anyone tried to claim their rewards it shows an insane amount of gas fees. These insane fees are because of the fault of the smart contract, not eth network. Till now a transaction can be made below 50$ which is also high but not as high as shown in OP.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience isn't everything on: February 25, 2021, 04:12:52 PM
If you put all of your money in an overhyped or shit project and thinking that patience will give you benefits in long term then you have the wrong mindset. If I had patience with my BTC holding from 2017 then I already made more than 25X by this time. So patience is everything but you need to choose the right project for that.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk twitted - Doge on the actual MOON! on: February 25, 2021, 04:08:34 PM
It is very interesting how elon musk attract plenty of newbies to the crypto community by posting crypto related topic specifically about dogecoin. And because of this hype these new in the crypto industry become always be the loser because they tend to get FOMOed.

There is plenty of good projects but I wonder why he is creating hype about dogecoin. Dogecoin is already overpriced and it's a dead project. Even its dev leave this project long ago. With such a huge supply elon pushing its price so hard. If some other celebrities were doing this then I would say he has been paid to do this but I do not know why he is shilling this shit project.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: "Looks as if #Bitcoin is eating #Gold". Good idea to buy some Gold now? on: February 25, 2021, 03:45:37 PM
Bitcoin is not eating gold. Instead it reflect the gold. The price of bitcoin over a period increased some high. Now the price of gold also increased to next level. Many people who holding gold over decade had sold gold at highest price and make use of that money to buy their home. This growth only happen in bitcoin and it's now happening with gold.

Actually, it shows what the community wants. Gold is a very precious metal that has been used for transfer value from the past. The price growth of bitcoin is higher than bitcoin because young people like to invest in bitcoin rather than gold. If you check the past 10 years' chart for both of them then you will see the difference in price growth and that is the reason the young generation wants to invest in bitcoin to be rich very quick.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: COIN PRICES CRASHING!!! SELL BITCOIN NOW!!!! on: February 25, 2021, 03:31:24 PM
Indeed, bitcoin is decreasing but I don't think there will be many people who will assume it as bearish sign. The dumping price a lot doesn't mean its price will crash, that is the important part that you should know.

A healthy correction is always necessary for stable and long-term growth. That is what is happening with the price of bitcoin right now. Only smart and strong hands will measure the situation correctly and will have patience.

Technically, I see the chart pattern will give a bad sign but that's not a guarantee, the weekly candle will be formed three days left and there is an opportunities to change. But you have to see the monthly candle, the bullish sign is still strong, so I just predict that bitcoin price movement is still bullish for a long term investment.

BTC breaks its ATH so there is always a psychological resistance around 60k. Many people will try to book profits here but there is a chance that BTC will cross 100k this year very easily. People and the community is very positive this time.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: February 25, 2021, 02:50:19 PM
As usual, too many people are just missing the point out there. It is only for the community to decide if Bitcoin is legitimate.

If people want to exchange their goods with crypto then govt must accept it as a legitimate currency. Actually, govt has the power to ban any certain thing if they think they can not control it. They think it's too risky and they can not control the outflow of money if they allow cryptocurrency for the transaction. It will enable borderless transactions which will not be beneficial for the govt.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC 20 is secure as ERC 20 ? on: February 24, 2021, 03:42:44 PM
I want to transfer USDT from one address to another. ERC20 detucts a lot of fee but TRC 20 on tron network, the transaction is free of cost.
I want to know if TRC 20 blockchain is safe to use and we can store our USDT there for long term ?

I personally prefer TRC 20 blockchain to store my USDT because of ETH's insane amounts of fees. I regularly use my TRC20 address to do transactions with USDT and I haven't faced any negative consequence yet so I am assuring you that it is 100% safe as long as you are the one who is holding your TRC 20 address private key.
16  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: বাংলাদেশ (Bangladesh) on: February 24, 2021, 03:33:55 PM

17  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to make money with Bitcoin ? Here is a Tip ...Psy... on: February 24, 2021, 03:26:45 PM
I'm pretty sure that's what the fear and greed index tries to gauge: the amount of emotion attached to a certain asset during a particular phase/scenario. It's actually not a secret that most of crypto's movements are induced by psychological reactions from people that are invested in it. It's just that people--especially in the traditional asset classes who are now into crypto--discredit this fact and try so hard to validate TA and instill that such analysis helps over analyzing what people has in mind and in emotions at that current time.

Totally agreed with you. Also, I saw price always pump from psychological support and dump from psychological resistance at least for a little while. That's created a good opportunity for scalping for day traders.

The human psyche is compelled to insist its decision the moment the spur of emotions get the best out of our logic. It rings true in most investments, and not only crypto, that's why most seasoned traders often advise us to distance our emotions with our money and investments.

In most cases, emotion creates panic and forces us to make wrong decisions. I have lost some opportunity to make big money through crypto because of fear. So better be avoided emotions and always stick to your plan.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard Bitcoin Global Adoption? on: February 19, 2021, 03:35:33 AM
No way, what a twist! While Mastercard shows a good example and it will most certainly benefit the crypto world, it seems like they're doing it out of fear, rather than support. Over the past few weeks, a lot has changed and many men of weight have shown support for Bitcoin, which is why MC suddenly feels threatened. But no matter, I've been longing for this kind of news for years.

However, it's interesting how will the exchange rate be fixed in such a case, considering that it's constantly changing and might even change while the transaction is being processed.

If visa and Paypal can do this why don't they? Also when a hot figure like Elon musk buys and promotes crypto then people will use it without any hesitations. But they will not be able to provide that kind of freedom that crypto was created for. As mentioned in OP now they will freeze or halt any transaction if they think it's suspicious. Similar cash had been seen in PayPal and it seems the same thing will happen with MasterCard too.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of AME on: February 18, 2021, 07:41:56 PM

The AME token is experiencing a significant pumping today, maybe investors are quite confident in the future development of AME, and we know the team has promised another exchange at the end of February so this possibility could be a real pump.

But only on MXC it has the best current value of $ 0.052 and in other exchanges it is still under $ 0.048 which is quite a slow move only on the faster MXC.

I'm sure this pumping will continue to see it is currently the best coin ranked in CMC around 900.

They recently announced that they are going to the Binance exchange, there is no official announcement from the Binance exchange itself, but the AME project is already talking about this and made a tweet https://twitter.com/ame_pay/status/1362448806361501698

The price of AME has increased significantly but I still have doubt that it has the capability to full fill the requirement to be listed on Binance! Also, their final product is not live yet so is that a good idea to be listed on such a big exchange? I think this could show a negative impact on the token price without a fully working platform.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: February 18, 2021, 07:24:04 PM
I'm surprised to see an abandoned coin like Dogecoin surging in price like crazy. People are overestimating Dogecoin without realizing that it was never meant to be taken seriously. The huge supply of DOGE in circulation, along with abandoned development and innovation, tells me that it should be less valuable than what it is right now (please correct me if I'm wrong).

What are your thoughts? Do you think Dogecoin is overpriced? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

You have already mentioned why it's overpriced. It's an abandoned project and has a huge circulating supply. People just brought it with FOMO and we could see a big dump in its price. Without that tweet from Elon Musk, its price would never reach that high. Soon people will get that dogecoin is nothing but a pile of rubble. It has not future nor the potential to hold its price.
