161  Other / Meta / Re: How to get a avatar for your profile? on: March 05, 2015, 04:32:57 PM
I see them often actually don't know how to obtain one or how to add one. Some feedback on this subject would be much appreciated.

Its disabled my friend by admins unfortunately . It will come with new forum so wait for it
your friends logo got disabled ? that's really strange  , just thought they disabled adding one , never heard of anyone's getting disabled o_o
162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: March 05, 2015, 04:31:48 PM
If you are a hard-working person, day-trade with your intelligence could help you get rich quickly
OR , you just make a bot that does the work for you. and you wont need that hard work you'll just get rick for free will take alot of time to get rich tho.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 05, 2015, 04:30:45 PM
Dead again? Poor bitcoin. That makes 500 deaths so far.

We need a standard obituary that can be auto posted. It's exhausting preparing for this many funerals. Oh... wait,... It's twitching again and it's heart is starting up. Gota go.
woah , are you alright ? should i call the ambulance mate? , we actually have ambulance in my town that is thinking about accepting BTC payments .. : )
taste that op
164  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: is there any crypto app store? on: March 05, 2015, 04:29:35 PM
Do you know any crypto app store made for bitcoin enthusiasts. If no? Then how about creating one

You mean something like Google Play ? There isn't but it could be very useful indeed , I like your idea mate .
So instead of screwing around and searching on iTunes and Google play we could simply go to this "Crypto" app store . Do you have the needed skills to make such a thing ? if not just make a Crowfunding thread (held by escrow) . Pretty sure that a lot of people may get interetested on such projects .

~ Madness
hell , if we can spend a million bucks on the forum , im sure we can put a few millions into making our own app store ? Wink
165  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How did I solve 1 Block this quick? on: March 05, 2015, 04:27:43 PM
I run my home PC repair business on the side, though, and EVERY computer I work on gets checked for coin wallets.  And if I ever find one, it's MINE!  I just hope the owner didn't password protect it!

This is why you never bring your PC to a repair shop.

Do you also steal any credit card details and financial info you find? what about nudes? you might as well, it's the same level of scum-iness.
stealing nudes from somebody is the same as stealing their precious precious PRECIOUS bitcoins?
what weird kind of world do you live in man  Roll Eyes
166  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Check if your BTC-key is vulnerable on: March 05, 2015, 04:25:33 PM
Thanks for that explanation and breaking it down so it's easy to understand.

At least only addresses with spent outputs through a web wallet are possibly at risk, so that's good for me as I keep very small amounts in those. Keep your cold storage cold and only keep a small amount in your hot/spending wallets.
This is a really good tip , would reccomend it to anyone. Reading this post actually got me a lil bit scared , prolly gonna make some paper wallets brb
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2015, 04:23:06 PM
Earning bitcoin interest! Very safe return!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=774359.0
" very safe return " yea , let me just give all my bitcoins to some random chinese guy that lives in a country with scary laws.
yeah , why not lets do it here take my money.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2015, 04:20:55 PM
you're telling us that we should only provide safe investments , and then in your list is trading , do you realise this makes no sense at all?
with this market , you could lose 10% of your coins in a matter of seconds trying to do trading. so you cant consider this safe at all.
169  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 04, 2015, 10:19:14 PM
Marcotheminer/Autosigbot,

Any chance we could get the Bot fixed for tracking all users posts, not just our own?

Right now "Beta" only shows our own stats, can we get it to show all like last month "theBot"?

http://bitsig.website/thebot/

I have decided not to make a huge list with all users as some users have voiced they'd prefer individual (private) stats.
Marcro , just a tip for the website. a nice addon would be to see when the paydate is ? ( nothing super important , just smth that would be nice to have )
Hello I just want to give you an idea about the payment date ; once you receive a pm in your bitcointalk account you can
just keep counting seven days after that message ; And Thanks
Note : I'm now developping a new system for pms , so now may you won't receive pm if you register but will fix that
shortly ;

Kind of Regards ;
Bitcoin Boy
yea i know its not a hard thing to do by yourself , just saying it would be nicer if it was integrated , as i said its nothing very important tho just a nice touch : )

173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2015, 10:03:36 PM
I think the concept is that transaction fees will replace, or even exceed block rewards.

Consider 2000 Visa transactions per second, and PayPal at about 120 transactions per second.

If there were just 20 Bitcoin transactions per second at a .0001 BTC transaction fee, this would make 1.2 BTC per block in just transaction fees. If some of these transactions had higher fees in order to get priority, then fees per block could be 2 or 3 BTC or more.

Unfortunately, today Bitcoin can only handle about 7 transactions per second, but with some of the proposals on the table, this may change very soon, then only further adaption is required in order to keep mining profitable as block rewards drop.

TT
only 7 transactions per second ? O_o
Source? this is actually a major issue imo , nothing compared to banks tho... Wink
174  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If I sell my bitcoins do I have to pay vat on them ? on: March 04, 2015, 10:02:05 PM
It depends on the country you live in.
EU does not have any rules about BTC.

There is no tax at all in Denmark for BTC Tongue
Are you sure?
in sweden , we have to tax all profits from whatever it is. ( we even have special rules for bitcoin )
However , my question to you guys if i never sell my bitcoins , do i ever have to pay taxes? i mean , the goverment cant force me to use money and they prolly wont take btc as taxes.. : p
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free BTC Methods on: March 04, 2015, 09:59:41 PM
For free btc, I think only faucets come to mind.  You might also check out the giveaway section on the forum.

In reality, there isn't anything like free btc. You will always have to do some work for it.
faucets work , however they are way more work than for example signature campaigns , doing actual work etc.
Faucets pay out way to little , and the only guys profiting from them is the people owning them
hell , it prolly takes more electricity and energy from your body to complete those captcha's for the reward that you get
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people should get rich and how much is rich? on: March 04, 2015, 09:58:04 PM
Anyways, how many people should be able to get rich off bitcoin. Is there a limit of how many and or when bitcoiner's can get rich.

Bitcoin doesn't get people rich now. Very early adopters who mined thousands of bitcoin might be rich now. We have already passed that phase. Current Bitcoin users/adopters might profit from bitcoin in the future, we wouldn't be life-changing "rich".

bitcoin could hit 10m usd / coin if world adopted it , and i'd consider that pretty damn rich my friend : )
177  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fair Price of Bitcoin: $518? on: March 04, 2015, 09:56:57 PM
pfff i would be happy if it comes back to 300 dollars im not even thinking about 500
300 dollars is only a few weeks away , dont worry. im thinking we'll get at 500 in maybe 2 Months or so ?
Price have slowly been going up , but been sinking because of people losing hopes ( exchanges getting hacked etc )
Lets hope all these exchange hacks teach people that their btc is only safe with them  Smiley .
hopefully it does , i dont understand why exchanges keep getting " hacked " tho , maybe its just scams : <
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain.info now shows CHINA mining 54% of BTC on: March 04, 2015, 09:55:29 PM
i cant see how this can be new to you , prices are cheaper down in china , and not as many belivers in us i guess (most of btc's volume is from china aswell but you guys prolly already know that )
why is this alarming to you guys is my question?
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you deny evidence? bitcoin has deluded all us on: March 04, 2015, 09:53:31 PM
I am 25 and I invested my (small) money almost all I bitcoin, mostly when it was 830 and some when it was 600.  I am really panicked. Please give me some advice. Will bitcoin grow?

Here's the real issue. No wonder he's upset and projecting his frustration on bitcoin as a whole.

I got into bitcoin and altcoin mining at the start of 2014, so I know exactly how he feels. My year of mining was tough sledding financially. But I got into BTC out of idealism (despite the awkward timing of coming in on the heels of the "gold rush" crowd), and the rational basis for BTC hasn't changed. (Nor does the OP offer any reasoning against BTC's success). 2014 was a retrenchment from the big Chinese and Gox-driven frenzy of late 2013, running ahead of bitcoin ecosystem development, investment opportunities using BTC, and so forth. I think that has run its course and we are now in the early stages of the next rally. Whether it becomes a measured advanced or another wild frenzy remains to be seen.

But my advice for the OP (and I wish I'd been able to give it sooner) is: DIVERSIFY. No matter how great you think an investment is, never put your eggs in one basket. And start with a conservative foundation - that is, the money you can't afford to lose should be in non-volatile, secured investments. From there you can build up a more risky portfolio, but always keeping a significant level of diversity. For all my faith in BTC and pessimism about fiat currencies I still have a lot more of the latter than the former, though the coming ETF funds may shift that significantly.... but still keeping within the advice given above.
so op is basically not happy , cause he overinvested in something that is pretty much a gamble to " invest " in atm. and now he wants everyone else to quit aswell because of this : >
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you deny evidence? bitcoin has deluded all us on: March 04, 2015, 09:52:32 PM
Here's your evidence:

BTC =\= Dollar Price

BTC = BTC

When 1BTC = 1BTC and you can use that 1BTC anywhere in the world, the price won't matter.

Don't look at Bitcoin as a get rich scheme.  Go to a casino for that.
did you just reccomend him to go to a casino if he wants to get rich?  Roll Eyes
not the wisest thing : >

Hey, he's a grown man, he can go do what he wants with his money.  The quickest way to riches if you want to gamble with money is put it all on Black, and if you win, hopefully you don't spend it.

He came into Crypto thinking he would get rich and be a millionaire in a couple of months, but sooner or later you have to ground yourself in reality.  Bitcoin isn't going to go up to $1million.  It would take a CONSIDERABLE global financial shift, and that ain't happening anytime soon.

Right now it's a sorta a Tech grass roots movement, and we're like the hippies chanting with the billboards trying to get everyone on board.  Slowly, step by step, we're getting there, but it's not an overnight process.
indeed! , May i ask why black ? and not red ? and honestly i personally prefer Green because that's the color of cash : > however , i think bitcoin will go up to 1 million usd , in about 20 years or so.
