1  Other / Meta / Re: Is there discrimination in the forum on: August 18, 2021, 08:23:40 AM
discrimination breeds in all corners of the world, it's in humans' mind of the globe
the atmosphere here in our forum is way better than that of reddit where a large number of users despise Chinese and the colored. bad thing
understandable if someone resents China because this country released some policies to bring the price of cryptocurrency down. But I feel it understandable as well for at that time, many of its citizens fell for cryptocurrency and went broke, it's recommended for government to control the situation and we all know that governments of almost all countries are trying to find a way to rein crypto market, that offered me a great opportunity to buy in the dip...
our forum is good, as of now. it's few users to blame.

Thank you, KingsDen and LoyceV, I appreciate you help. having stayed in this forum for almost one year but just got to know how to check responses quickly.

I'll take your advice and use LoyceV's.

sure, my friend is a little utilitarian, vain and ambitious. She loves Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency field. sometimes she deems her posts profound and helpful but gets no merit, I know she had thought about the topic seriously...maybe that upset her. She said she felt ignored and her voice wasn't heard. personally, her work really preoccupied her and stripped her of the time spent in here. As far as I know, she's still skimming this forum nearly every week, the best place to get a glimpse of what is happening in crypto world!
3  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: August 16, 2021, 08:55:17 AM
I have a question, that is, when I replied to a post, then if someone quoted my message, how could I know it without checking the original thread? I've been bothered by the question for some time and it makes me feel kind of lonely here since I cannot feel others' feedback on my words except by merits or deleted notice.
one of my friends quit because she envied others for their merit coz she had zero. Though I do think her words really don't deserve merit, her confidence wasn't satisfied anyway.
4  Other / Meta / Re: What do you think of the Bitcoin Discussion section? Does he need to change? on: August 14, 2021, 09:45:38 AM
I am a newcomer and I will check the Bitcoin discussion board every day. The quality of the posts varies, but there will still be some good posts. Even if the post itself is bad, if it can lead to some discussion, it can also inspire me to some extent.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency scam tricks newbies might fall for. on: August 13, 2021, 09:29:16 AM
As cryptocurrencies becomes more and more pervasive, maybe the patterns in bank account scams would be copied in crypto field.
such as
  • give you a fake QR code to scan. by PS, many information, esp, QR code contained in a picture, can be altered without noticed
  • if your password of cryptocurrency is on your phone or any hot wallet, watch out!
  • risky links. saying that your asset in a certain exchange is risky and you should click that link for protection
I mentioned just a few, just be careful when transforming asset, do not fall for convenience or any 'lucky' illusions.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media's impact to the growth of crypto currency on: August 12, 2021, 01:03:10 PM
social media is a mixed blessing, as I see it.
we can learn news related and choose our strategy since some celebrities and other influencers can affect the price and situation. but social media is meanwhile dotted with fake news and disinformation, which could cause us to lose money
we need to learn, to garner the ability of distinguishing truth from lies, the same is true for all walks of life. all kinds of information fills our lives and thus the bravery and wisdom to question and check the reliability matters a lot.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hoard Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2021, 09:39:43 AM
I hoard Bitcoin out of curiosity and belief. I think the creation of Bitcoin, the tycoon in crypto world, a miracle. I put some Bitcoin in my wallet and see what would happen in then years, like a magic! yes, another factor is for value storage. Bitcoin might become the anchor of value, way more reliable and convincing than USD and gold for its scarcity and consensus.
hoard it and hold it.  Cool
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signal trap, a self-conscious scam on: August 09, 2021, 08:20:13 AM
It is hilarious to see someone that want to go for day trading and like signals, that is just the dawning of its failure because the trader will surely lose and lose over time. Even if someone have to make use of free signyal, he must already been an expert, if not an expert, the person will definitely lose, whike paid signals are complete scam. What I just noticed is that there are good and bad time, many of the day traders will have no option again than to go for swing trading which is less risky but still risky, while some will become experienced and know holding will be better. It has always been good to learn trading by oneself, this is the best way to go, with time the trader will know the best choice after starting with very low amount of funds.
I have been in that kind of signal group once. at first, I was confused and thought, since they could garner so much money and do the perfect prediction, why do they bother to tell others? for charity? then one of the members added me and revealed the truth: if they call on us to buy the coin, it means the current price of that coin is comparatively high so the advocates could seize the chance and sell their coin to us! We are factually giving them money! that's really disgusting Sad
be adherents of others is no good, learn more and judge by yourself. I believe most of these signals are trap, totally trap!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivates you to start investing in cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2021, 08:29:36 AM
At first, I heard of it from a friend who majors in finance, but I didn't take it seriously. Later on, I saw the word "Bitcoin" frequently from my test paper, magazine and even one lecture mentioned that and the orator was bullish on cryptocurrency. I got inspired!
I bought an assortment of coins from Binance and other platforms. though till now, I earned just a little, I enjoy it and I just adopt a moderate proportion of my money on it.
Technical analysis doesn't work in many occasions, for me, investing in cryptocurrency is like opening mystery boxes!

12  Other / Meta / Re: Viable Projects? on: August 04, 2021, 02:39:20 PM
When I check ANN, I usually adjust it to time sorting. I am a person who is willing to look for new projects, so old projects may not be that attractive to me. Of course, the top-ranked old projects obviously have their loyal fans. If I have enough bump, I will give it to the new project I like Smiley

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official Widecoin - WCN Project on: August 02, 2021, 02:55:28 PM
Hello, your project information is written very clearly, and you can see that you want to do a good job. Your project is also a POW mechanism. What are your advantages compared to Bitcoin? I see that your project contains two tokens, wcn and wwcn. How can they be exchanged? Through cex or bridge. Be aware that these two tokens are completely different. I can hardly imagine a way to make them exchange
15  Other / Meta / Re: Check out RainbowKun's article to see if forums really need depth knowledge. on: August 01, 2021, 02:41:44 PM
Just like people don’t like to read books nowadays. Now that everyone’s knowledge is more fragmented, we often choose to read tiktok for a while instead of reading a novel seriously. It's not that people don't like deep knowledge, but compared to it, those fragmented knowledge are easier to accept (because fragmented knowledge does not require brain thinking). I think that although Bitcointalk is more capable of accepting in-depth knowledge than other forums, it is still far from the previous level. Even some dynamic avatars can affect people's concentration, so it's not because we don't want to read in-depth knowledge, but because there is no suitable environment.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you shouldn't think about a profitable investment. on: July 30, 2021, 02:50:54 PM
Maybe this is not where you posted ANN. You can transfer your project to the ANN sub-section. In addition, I wish your project a good development

There are still a lot of icos for us to participate, and I profit a lot from them. It’s just that it’s harder to filter well now.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: July 26, 2021, 02:23:43 PM
All my assets are in cryptocurrency, but I invest in different tokens. Of course, I will also reserve some stable coins such as usdt for emergencies. My investment ratio is roughly like this, 50% of stablecoins are used for liquidity mining. 30% is used to buy Bitcoin and eth. The remaining 20% come to find new projects Grin

What is the contract address for the token? Do you have a telegram group?
