Hi guys,

Updates regarding this case:
Believe it or not, someone started me on LinkedIn and introduced herself as a expert trader in bitcoin and binary trading options/a digitally asset investor Smiley. Her fake name on LinkedIn is Evelyn Manning, Investment Specialist at Blockchaintradingfx, Indianapolis, Indiana Area.

After I asked her about scam on the Blockchaintradingfx platform she vanished from my connections and messages Smiley.

Take care!

"Did you create another account with the same email or a different one?"

I opened the account with the same email. I believe it must not be the issue if you open account with the same email because someone's email is public info.

"AFAIK, regardless of the security settings, the "real" blockchain.com wallet always sends an email to authorize every single login attempt and if you didn't get any, then perhaps you were using/accessing a fake version of that wallet + that explains how they were able to easily transfer your funds into their wallets."

No, I did get an email to authorize my every single login attempt. That's the catch. I got it every time I was accessing my account.

"I'm not trying to defend Blockchain.com's wallet [I wouldn't recommend them since it's not a safe place to store funds] but I think it's not fair to blame them for this [if it was indeed a phishing scam of some sort]."

I could agree with you if I was a victim of phishing scam. But I do not believe that's the case, because I was getting notification (via email and/or mobile) every time I was accessing my wallet. So, it must have been the real Blockchain's wallet.
Of course, I'm not saying that Blockchain is 100% guilty, but believe that had some part in it, because someone transferred bitcoins from my wallet without notifying me. The rest of the blame is on my back, on my naivety.

Anyway, thank you for your support and for sharing the info about a company like Chainalysis. It's really appreciated.

"If they did ask you to input something other than your BTCitcoin address, then it has nothing to do with blockchain.com's connection with them."

No, I was using only bitcoin address. The real issue was that advisor/scammer opened blockchain account/wallet in my name using my email and told me just to change the password. I did not want to use that wallet, but opened it by myself. What I did not know, at the time, that this two accounts were somehow connected in term that they were sharing common balance. I enabled 2-factor authent. and did not enable secret keys on my wallet which meant that I should have gotten notification if someone was trying to login into account. After some time I realized that my balance is missing, checked on transfer logs and saw that bitcoins were transferred to few unknown wallets. Scammer told me that this is normal process where bitcoins were transferred to another platform in order to achieve investment. The scammer opened account for me in Blockchaintradingfx.com platform where I could have monitored my investment. As I wrote, I had no doubts that this is true because I did not get any notification (2FA was enabled) that someone was logging into my account. From that point I did not have control of bitcoins. I already explained the part in which scammer was asking for taxes and my understanding that I was deceived.

@Smartvirus

Totally agree about evidence. However, you should agree that it's not easy to provide evidence (even I have proof of payment) if someone transferred (without your knowledge) bitcoins from your Blockchain wallet, then explained that it was not stolen, but it was invested into mining process, then that the bitcoins could be monitored into Blockchaintradingfx.com platform and after 5 days could be collected as an investment. After 5 days these guys told that I will be able to collect the investment after I pay taxes of 20%. Of course, I did not want to pay these taxes, but the bitcoins were already transferred into their hand. So, I have nothing else to do, but to spread the word.
I turned out to be fool, but the thing that tricked me is Blockchain platform. I did not expected that someone could have had access to my Blockchain wallet and by that I believed (in the beginning) in the story that these guys are connected to Blockchain platform.
I do not want to write about my experience with Blockchain support about this accident, because it is too frustrated. These guys have serious secure flaws in their platform.

@tabas

I will post it in the appropriate board.

@hugeblack

Yes, that was one of the things I found out when my bitcoins was transferred and I was asked for the taxes. But at that stage I had no control of my bitcoins and could just have monitored allegedly earnings.

Hi guys,

Please, be aware of the portal Blockchaintradingfx.com.

These guys are representing themselves as a mining portal of Blockchain.com, but get away of them. They are fraud!

To be honest Blockchain.com also should be avoided. These guys have secure flaws in their portal. But that's another story.

Following the Scam report format:

What happened:: Someone transferred (without my knowledge) bitcoins from my Blockchain wallet, then explained that they were not stolen, but were invested into mining process, could be followed into Blockchaintradingfx.com platform and after 5 days I will be able to collect the investment. After 5 days these guys told that I will be able to collect the investment after I pay taxes of 20%. Of course, I did not want to pay these taxes, but they already transferred bitcoins, so I have nothing else to do, but to spread the word. These guys are from Blockchaintradingfx.com platform and represented themselves as part of Blockchain, as the advisors.
I turned out to be fool, but the thing that tricked me is Blockchain platform. I did not expected that someone could have had access to my Blockchain wallet (made transaction without my knowledge) and by that I believed (in the beggining) in the story that these guys are connected to Blockchain platform.

6  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com scam - lost funds on: February 23, 2021, 09:10:20 PM
Hi guys,

Yes, definitely Blockchain.com is very unsecure. Someone has transferred bitcoins from my wallet to few another in period of 20 minutes. On my account is enabled two factor authentication, so I should have gotten notification if someone wanted to login into my account. Obviously this was done without login into account. I just noticed that bitcoins are missing and saw the report of transferred bitcoins to another wallets. Of course, I tried to reach Blockchain support, but they just replied with general email about securing wallet. I replied them with list of scam wallets, but got no reply. Their customer care = 0.

Additionally, be aware of the web portal blockchaintradingfx.com. These guys are SCAM. Get away of them.

Rgds
