101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: July 23, 2020, 04:08:23 AM
today I was quite excited to see ethereum prices suddenly rising. although it hasn't exceeded the $ 300 price, ethereum has already exceeded $ 250, and that's a good thing. however, there is still a great opportunity to hold ethereum today. the price of $ 300 is still not reached, think carefully.
the price rising is quite small though may be just temporary and the price rising not happen to eth alone but btc and other top coins aswell maybe a good starting sign?. I think $300 is definitely possible for ethereum in the future, crypto as I know always going up if you see from the graph although there might be some dump here and there.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 22, 2020, 12:42:38 PM
A real and trustworthy project would have started building it's capacity long before it's launch. There are some that have been in existence three years before fundraising programme and some have been existing long before that. A very good example is Hybrix. If a project that is just created and few months fro that time, it launches on a fundraising programme, that should be a suspicious project. Most times, when you check their social media handle, it is either they have scanty posts or that they just started posting of recent. That also is a no to me.
I think the time from when project created and when they are doing ICO have nothing to do with legitimacy. there are some projects that's just an idea and getting realized after ico ends. i think what matter most is how the developer prepare their project and how they response to any question relating their project.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to Sell LEDU on Dcoin!! Fake Volume? on: July 21, 2020, 11:21:23 PM
I have 15000 LEDU token to sell. I deposited those on the DCOIN exchanger and placed sell orders. My order was the bottom of all the orders. After a few hours, I noticed some orders in the history that have been sold for lower rate than mine.
After that, I keep watching the exchanger and noticed that buy orders are coming in order history I mean in history it's showing that someone is buying tokens lower than in my rate. But at that moment there were no orders lower than mine. How is it possible? are they using bots for showing fake volume??

Can anyone explain?

The only reasonable explanation to your ordeal is that Dcoin is shitty exchange filled with bots, they are known for wash trading, fake volumes and any sort of trade manipulation you could think of. Only shit projects chose them and that's why traders always tried to avoid using it. I suggest you should more credible exchanges if your coin is listed on any
His coin is only getting listed on dcoin and he has no choice to use another exchange site. I guess when someone has another option and he will be moving to use a better exchange site but the reality he can't use it dude.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 21, 2020, 11:15:28 PM
Presently it's impossible because investors feels more safer using IEO, they know that to make profits from IEO crowdfunding they have to choose projects from top exchanges, gate, binance, huobi etc, in Security IEO wins over ICO, it's not gonna fade any time soon.
I think so and as far as I can see that IEO is still having a lot of demand and that means IEO will always be the best way for a new project to raise the funds and so far IEO is always really profitable when it comes to the exchange legit exchange site.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New normal world will make crypto better on: July 20, 2020, 11:09:26 PM
One of the objectives of cryptocurrency was created to overcome the problem of economic crisis such as during the covid-19 period. It seems that investors and the public will pay more attention to crypto as a substitute for conventional money.
that's true even some people were seeing crypto as the only solution for the crisis. satoshi has been creating a very good solution while there are so many parties can't still accept this.
The new normal will bring nothing and it's only a small change in our life.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to too many promoters on: July 20, 2020, 11:06:30 PM
Yeah i think bounties currently have low reward and now you mention it, the reason could be the number of participants.
Limiting the number of bounty participants is a good thing to be done, because it will attracting more qualify promoters due the high reward.
We should think again about that, we can't randomly limiting the campaign and it must be made based on how much allocation and how big will be received by the participants. In fact, so many bounties were getting ordered by the team. The manager will do when the team has been taking such a decision.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I found out from Twitter. on: July 19, 2020, 12:47:53 PM
I know it all too well that no system is actually safe, there's just always a hole that people yet discovered or maybe already discovered but they kept it for themselves but a huge company like Twitter to be hacked like that is really disturbing and considering so many famous people have verified account in that social media platform. It's only make sense if they got criticized so hard for it because they deserve it. They got a platform that self generates the content yet cant keep up with the security.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT trusted to use? on: July 18, 2020, 07:02:26 AM
Although USDT is being used by a vast number of trading site. It is a not a good option to transfer money from USDT to another USDT wallet. There are tons of horror stories about failed transaction so for me it cannot be trusted.

Currently, USDT daily trading volume is over the Bitcoin trading volume and fourth highest market cap according to Coinmarketcap. My opinion is We can't trust the centralized stable coin to keep the money. Also, news around the USDT is not good, and it may be shut down by the authorities.

What is your opinion about the USDT coin?

I use the DAI to keep the stable value & will shift to the SAI in the near future where the money I'm not investing.
Is that really true though? as far as I'm concerned it just works like any other token out there. I mean so many people have used USDT for transfer but they're doing just fine. maybe small fraction amount of people are doing somekind of mistake when sending their transaction.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Three phases bounty distribution on: July 17, 2020, 07:43:19 AM
It's a good thing that few bounty managers are now limiting participants for bounties but another problem I'm bounty projects are dumps, one way that bounty managers can help to avoid dump is three phase distribution, many would probably hate this but c'mon we all want good $$$ from projects we promoted right? Controlling dump this way works, what do you think? I've seen bubbalex doing this and even COVIR that plan to use bitforex to raise funds plan to distribute tokens in three phases

Do you think limiting a distribution to 3 phases would help to prevent a project from dumping? I personally don't think so. A good project will always survive the dumps regardless of of 3 phase distribution or not
Definitely, but some project are more vulnerable to dumping because maybe their volume in exchange is relatively low. I think it's not a problem if the developers decide to make it three phase as long as its still giving the promised reward.
but as far as it goes that's the developer problem to solve the dumping and they might come up with their own solution.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Projects Below Top 100 Coinmarketcap? on: July 16, 2020, 01:16:40 PM

There are many great projects below top 100. As we speaks this list makes clear there are still altcoins under 100 which are profitable. Maybe not for the long term investment but for day to day trade:

~snip

Source: WorldCoinIndex

There are coins that being pumped as there are still small groups who are playing around. It's needed to look deeper before you invest your money,
there are bots and manipulators around every exchange. If you failed to investigate you'll be easy getting trapped
and lose your money.
yeah those coin usually have low market volume and easily manipulated I dont trust crypto that's below top 100 in term of pumping and should take a look twice. I remember back then when dex was hyped up so many altcoins with low volume being used for pump and dump trapping many people and cause them losing money.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Card Launches in Europe on: July 16, 2020, 01:06:46 PM
Personally, I am using CryptoCard from Crypto.com, why I would use a card that only allows you to switch between crypto and FIAT when I can use a card that gives me money back from every transaction, where I can earn money while I am staking my coins? This makes Crypto.com cards so valuable because they are not just like others.
Afaik binance requires less personal data to give a card than crypto com. So I am as binance user less worried about selling my data/hacks and etc.
Apart from that I think you're right, crypto com card is rather better than binance card
Every person has their own interest and for people like me, I don't care if the card is giving money back if it's safe and convenient then ill use it even I wil use this binance card for the sole reason of released by binance and nothing more which at the end of the day will be used for the same purpose that is for paying our bill etc.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How secured is crypto card? on: July 16, 2020, 12:28:39 PM
security wise it's basically the same as your ordinary visa or mastercard, it has the risk of being stolen, or being used by some stranger if they know your number, exp date and security code but it could be solved by using phone verification for each transaction.
if you could choose the most reliable crypto debit card provider I think the security should be a little concern since they usually have 2fa.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Twitter account have been hacked! on: July 15, 2020, 10:54:35 PM
never trust tweets even if it's from an official account, twitter is just bunch of bullshit and not your source of credible news. rather if you want to find an info just see the announcement in their website or just contact the customer support directly.
it's crazy to think an official account could be hacked easily like that.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to hold now or not? on: July 15, 2020, 04:12:59 PM
indeed ICO is now dead but that does not mean ETH will lose its popularity, ETH is still the king of altcoin and is still very suitable to be used as a long-term investment
So many icos are still using a lot of ethereum chain and IEO too.  Just because there was some scam icos and that will never ruined the reputation that has already gained by ethereum. So far everything is still under control as the scammers will be so difficult to scam people these days
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ChainLink - Sell or Hold for some more time? on: July 15, 2020, 04:11:42 PM
What do guys think of ChainLink's long term price prediction? Do you recommend, if someone bought it @ $1.5 better to sell and buy back at correction? Worried, What if there is no correction?
9 July 2020, you ask if someone bought it @ $1,5 and today the price $6.1. You know the answer, right?
Chainlink is one of many great project out there, of course will give you profits, even if you buy it at high price, Keep hold it sure, you will got profits. For me chainlink is great for trading also long term investment. DYOR
This coin is very suitable to be used for long term. When you were in the profit and there was no reason to sell it as it can reach the new ATH anytime. People must try to anticipate the hype that can go to the link anytime.
OP needs to hold it right now.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos Price??? on: July 15, 2020, 04:01:52 PM
If i have to believe this article about Tezos than Tezos is one of the money making altcoins:

https://www.worldcoinindex.com/news/altcoins-are-currently-surging-very-fast-chainlink-tezos-and-vechain
Dude, those who have been listed on top 100 CMC can be considered as money-making or even money machine generator. So many new millionaires have born from these altcoins.
Tezos is having a very great performance in this year.

118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oikos a scam project or what??? on: June 23, 2020, 10:50:47 PM
Thread starter didn't understand what he was talking about and this is not a scam project but oikos was a trusted project. it has even developed some products at the same time. OP you should take a direct conversation to the managers rather than blindly accusing a good project. what's wrong with you
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokpie Platform Questions on: June 23, 2020, 10:44:56 PM
I have never used this platform but if seen from a few friends on the telegram they managed to sell the stake they got while supporting the project and he said there were a lot of procedures that had to be followed in order to sell the stake there
is that mean what have been saying by some members here if that's not complicated was not true? Im always checking the total liquidity on tokpie and that's the problem on tokpie.

The competition is really strict and it looks like tokpie can't attract a lot of members or demand since it was started
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum investment for future ?? on: June 22, 2020, 11:22:03 PM
So in a short term point of view I would suggest that the next thing that boosts ethereums price will be full implementation of the POS system for Ethereum. This will create some extra demand and lower the supply by getting the ETH locked.
the success of POS system that will be implemented in ethereum network totally depends on how much % that will be offered to make the holders feeling good to staked their coins in the network. Some project like zil, tezos was also offering a really good % and ethereum must compete with it
