Sorry for the lack of reply so far today, I was called into work.
I'm have not yet posted the feature for a few reasons, I know I have limited time for coding as I have none crypto related commitments, so the last thing I want is to announce a feature just for another coin that has devs that have more free time to code to then take the idea and get it live before me, I already know one coin has a similar idea coming so I'm already racing to beat them. Also like other users have said, we don't want this to be another "bubble" coin, we want it to be stable, this is also the reason we didn't over hype the anon feature (a long with the fact many coins already have it).
A few people have been sent screen shots already (people that helped come up with the idea) so know the feature is live and is now very close to going live. But the more time I spend answering questions and defending the coin, the more time it takes to get the feature finished
The new feature is to make it so BITS are much easier for the standard user to get coins, information and help without any specialised knowledge, it is the first step in a much larger plan which will make the bits usable the same way a bitcoin but making it much easier for the general user, And I have also already been working on the next part, that I will be able to announce once stage 2 update is released.

Its pretty bad that I invested a significant amount into this coin and now I am asking for the truth about what's coming up but you guys are trying to make it look like I am the manipulator when you should be supporting me. We don't need this secrecy. Maybe the dev does not have anything coming up and its just a gimmick to dump his coins on us. Its a very legitimate concern
Honestly if he was to dump on us, he would promote the coin like crazy instead of being quiet coding all day. That's what all scammy dev do : Promises, non-stop marketing, pump, dump, next. The only fact that the dev is not trying to hype the price in any way should be enough to prove he's not trying to scam you. He also delivered the first update as promised, as he will the second most probably. I can't believe people are so suspicious on legit coin, when they fall blindlessly for obvious scams like URO where the dev only cares about the price and hyping the coin with fake documents ... he would have dumped already... way back. if he was going to dump. he had enough opportunity for that way back.. |

Can we please please please not turn this into one of those other coin threads with people arguing and talking trash to each other. This is a good coin, good community. I'm so sick of it on other coins and really don't want it here.
Why keep a good community in the dark by being so secretive? I smell something foul. Lets assume dev has built something, but he hasnt told anyone about it yet so what if he already dumped his bitstar and simply takes what he built on to another coin instead of Bitstar? If you want a good community, you don't hide things like this. It only makes us suspicious nah, that is the way how YOU think ( but i can understand it from other coins experience perspective ).... i will just patiently wait. secretive is fine, as long as it works out in the end. You all have that scamcoin mentality it's insane lol. Dev is only speaking, nothing tangible coming, hidden premine dump much? SCAM ! ^^ ... Don't forget this coin has been around for a while, look at the shitcoinscams, they barely survive 1 week whatever the amount of hype they receive. But they do move a LOT of money. Now look at the promising coins like monero? never broke 1M satoshi and it will take months until it gets his real price. Same for VRC, took very long for any significant price change. Usually it means the coin has some real value, even if it looks paradoxal. yeah bitstar is a very promising coin please buy the walls. thanks  i nearly did eliminate your wall. sorry "wall". you want to see a real wall? nah, i never show my hands. anyways,... choo choo. your "wall" will be eliminated when time is right. just leave it right there, ok? |

Remember, the next upgrade will be optional as it will add a number of very useful services, albeit these services will initially be predominantly centralised, akin the the value-added-services Vericoin offers.
If you have an absolute aversion to centralised services of any kind, you do not have to upgrade to it, so don't bother posting screaming expletive-filled psychotic anti-centralised-service rants, you know, the kind that often seem to be filling up the VRC thread by unhinged haters!
The next stages of the Bitstar project will include the transition of some of the features to p2p decentralised structures, so you can always wait for that if you feel the need.
Otherwise, as things currently stand, the new functionality that is being introduced to the wallet will be immensely useful. Utility and usefulness win over militant decentralisation.

i was especially referring to frostbite72, since he seems to have lost 200k because had issues syncing on the mac. wonder if these are solved now. what i found out during a full resync is that the balance is not being adjusted during sync and this is done at the end of a full re-sync |

#Ouch indeed - so there was no way to get them back? That is a pretty big floor in wallets if it doesn't bounce when it's not on the same blockchain. No, it wouldn't go onto another coin's blockchain, it went to the address he sent it to on the Razorcoin's blockchain but that happened to be an address he'd cut-and-pasted from Riecoin by accident which was accepted as valid by by the Razorcoin blockchain, whereas they are usually rejected for not conforming to the right format for that coin. The recovery for that is to import the address back into your wallet, before anyone else realises you've sent it to an unprotected address on the blockchain and imports it before you. Question - How would you import it in? You would only have the public key, not the private one. without the private key you cannot import it in. you can ask the owner of the address to share the riecoins address'es private key. If both coins addresses start with R , both coins have the same PUBKEY_ADDRESS in base58.h. |

i think he said that version 1 is a stability release and a staking fix that enters at 185k ( currently the wallet doesnt stake right ). it has some additional features like anon ( like a "v1" ), some small wallet fixes. phase 2. which is scheduled a bit later, will have the services tab. also they updated nodes, explorers etc that is what i understand from all this. edit: correct me if i am wrong dev. but maybe dev wants to show a little bit what the services tab can do edit2: or maybe not depends what it is. |
