61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - World's most Secure Mobile Wallet RELEASED for BTC / LTC / ETH on: October 23, 2018, 07:12:11 PM
Is Enjin wallet like MyEtherWallet where we have complete control over our assets and keys or centralized like Coinbase? Also can we add custom erc-20/721/1151 tokens via contract address if they are not added by default?

From enjin web site:

The Enjin Smart Wallet is engineered with military grade security. Your Private Keys and Recovery Phrases are stored only on your device using AES 256 encryption and never transmitted.

You can use your Recovery Phrase essentially as your Private Key as it allows you to fully own the wallet and the funds inside it. You can use it to import your wallet address into other software wallets and devices.

We do not store your keys on our servers.

----

So, keys are derived from seed which is stored on your phone, like 99% of phone wallets.

Several projects that I follow were initially run on stellar but for some reason, then they start using ethereum  Huh I do not understand why this is happening  Huh

You mean ICO projects? I also noticed this, that some ICOs left Stellar in favor Ethereum (FlipNpik for example). I don't know why, because Stellar look like working more faster than Ethereum. May be because users want not participiate in Stellar ICOs and register new wallets or developers just afraid that they can't raise money selling tokens on new blockchain...

Wasn't there also some project that left Eth and moved their tokens to Stellar? Yea, Kix. Seems they have tokens on both now though.

Hi ,

I have 5000+ STR But i can not use it by XLM .

what can i do now ?

Please help me .

I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you have STR (Stellar) or STR (StarCoin). Some exchanges still call it Stellar and use STR, they never changed the name and ticker when the native coin was renamed to Lumens (XLM).

So, do you have Stellar/Lumens or StarCoin?

Can anyone suggest a USD anchor that is reliable and works. Smiley

I have tried and or looked at:

Stronghold, due to IBM partnering with them, yet they aren't selling their stable coin to retail customers yet.

White Wallet... they look good, audited, based on the US, yet I am unable to upload my KYC docs at the minute.

AnchorUSD... no info on where they are located, audit information, etc. Are they trustworthy?

I'd really like to try stellarX, but don't really want to take the changelly hit, because if you "deposit" crypto in StellarX it doesn't go into an anchor, it gets converted to XLM.

---

Same question for a BTC/LTC/ETH anchor the is trustworthy. The strange thing about keeping non XLM crytpo in stellar is that you actually have to trust the anchor that actually holds the coins.

Just to update, I got activated at White Wallet, but they don't do ACH, and want a wire. That would be fine normally, but for the small amount I wanted to send, I don't want to pay a wire fee, since my bank charges $20.

I am looking for information about how the remaining XLM will be distributed and how many will be kept by the development fund?
And I remember to read some time ago that there will be more distribution rounds for BTC and XRP holders. Is this true?

No, bitcoin giveaways are done.

Most distribution now will be via Partnership program and Build Challenges.

https://www.stellar.org/about/mandate/#Lumen_Distribution

Thanks for pointing me to this information. One question regarding direct sign-up program:

Quote
The Direct Sign-up Program will be conducted in rounds and with a phased roll-out to encourage learning and public awareness throughout the distribution process. We will experiment with various ways to conduct distributions.

Is it over already or will there be more rounds in the future? I am newly to Stellar and I would like to participate if there will be more rounds.

I'm pretty sure those are all done too.

If you want stellar, you going to have to buy it.

Got my StellarX beta invitation. Signed up and looking around. It looks really good.

To queasy to give my really stellar private key until there are some security reviews made public.

This (semi) trustless exchange is going to change everything!

I don't care which wallet it is, you should never expose your private key over the internet.

I don't care which wallet it is, it can't sign transactions without the private key.

This is why I was looking for the security audit information. To make sure the local key management was done correctly and it wasn't exposed outside of the browser sandbox of the app.

I think possibly because you have to retain at least a 2 XLM balance in your wallet. Two because you have a mobi anchor. Also, you have to have enough to pay the fee as small as it is.
You can't send 100% of the coins out.

Thank you friend!
It turned out to send a slightly smaller amount.
And how do you know the balance of MOBI?

It's in your screen print. But, I'm thinking Mobi is a token, not an anchor. So it probably doesn't affect your min balance.

See here for info on Fees and Minimum balance.

Hello!
I can not send coins from my wallet to the stock exchange.
What am I doing wrong?  Huh

Tell me please, what minimum of XLM coins should I buy on the exchange and transfer them to Stellar's wallet to activate it? Thanks in advance for the information!

Currently 1 XLM, without anchors. I think you need another 1 for each anchor you add.

Its becoming popular because the chain is being used by devs on their upcoming projects, now if the network wont clog like ETH do it might be good time to buy now and wait for the future.
I dont' really get your ideas, honestly, chichidori.
I dont' understand why it will be good to buy one coin if its network has serious clogs.
Can you explain a bit more about the idea, please.

I think you should re-read his message. He said that continued use of the network that demonstrates no network/chain performance issues will improve the usage and uptake.

He never said to by it if it does demonstrate scaling issues and clogs, like, for example, ETH.

Has anyone set up the IBM/Stronghold stable coin anchor and funded it? Is it open to the public yet? Maybe it's not.

An article and or video on how to do this would be great. Maybe including a demo of using SteallarX to swap the USD Stablecoin for XLM as a bonus. Not sure if they have a beta system going yet.

I can't wait for all this stuff to be in place.

Off to buy some more XLM the old fashioned way, I guess.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: July 31, 2018, 06:34:13 PM
Today I bought my first XLM and they are still on exchange account. I'm wondering what wallet I should choose to store the coins locally. I am currenly using a Mac and Linux machine. Which leightweigt wallet(s) do you recommend for me? I also would welcome a purely online-based wallet if it is safe like MyEtherWallet for Eth.

Since I mostly buy and HODL I just use the lightweight account viewer at stellar.org.

https://www.stellar.org/account-viewer/#!/

It even supports a Ledger hw wallet.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: July 27, 2018, 07:05:08 PM
It is a pity that I did not buy stellar 2 weeks ago, a very apetitic price, not that now ...

How much you bought it? It's not a good time to buy XLM today since the price is increasing and we'll need to wait until it bounce back down, and that will be the right time. I'm still waiting for value to goes down and i will hoard more.

I disagree. I think you should by as a stock that is rising... you should sell a stock that is falling.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Universal-Wallet] Coinomi (BIP44 compatible) on: July 23, 2018, 08:36:33 PM
I imagine that the Universal wallet thought is fundamental to the achievement of cryptographic money. Ideally you are taking a shot at a wallet form that can be utilized on the backend of site servers. It would be great if a site business could acknowledge crypto coin from a greater part of the coins that exist. A general wallet in conjunction with programming that can naturally exchange and change over the alt coin to bitcoin and additionally USD is imperative. In the event that individuals can utilize their most loved coin to buy merchandise and ventures this will be a shelter to the whole cryptocoin ECO System. .

Take a look at Abra. A wallet with a built-in distributed exchange seems to do what you are asking for.

Is there a place listing all tokens/project issued on Stellar network theie basic infos and eventually the exchanges where they are traded : in short words some sort of Coinmaketcap for stellar tokens.

Coinmarketcap lists the more popular tokens I'm pretty sure.
