Is there a way to increase the amount of wallet connections to the network?
I've started sprouting last night. Got 16 connections to the network. Estimated time to sprout: "2 days"...  Undecided
Also, would it make sense to re-block? I've got just over 1 million beans sent in one transaction from Bittrex. Maybe I should send these to myself again in a few separate transactions?

I wrote this a while back, should help http://www.bitbean.org/forum/sprouting-blocks-and-re-blocking

please help ive been searching for answers but have had no luck. I try to open my bitbean wallet but it always says there is an error. it says blkindex.dat error

This error is due to the wallet not being closed cleanly. Clear out everything in your Bitbean folder except for your wallet.dat (and bitbean.conf but no so
necessary) then restart your wallet, this will re-sync the wallet. If you wish to have a bit of a shortcut on the sync'ing process refer to the Bean website
for instructions on downloading a snapshot of a previously sync'ed database.

**** Save you wallet.dat before deleting anything, preferably in multiple places for security (USB stick, other place on your disk etc.) *****

I did post a bit on blocks and re-blocking that should be helpful: http://www.bitbean.org/forum/

I suppose us illiterates, ignorant and stupid folks shouldn't be here reading, writing and having a dialogue.

By the way the written language does use apostrophes (single quotation marks), you don't want to tarnish
your 'reputation'.

Wishing the new team every success on this coin and good luck and a prosperous 2017

I've been trading this coin for some time, so, I will be back in and out for further updates

I think the Dev is fully charged for year to come, as much support as we can give to facilitate
the progression of the Bean in the future is always welcome. Those of you that have been staking
for a while can vouch for the benefits of their investment.

I can Smiley

This is a joke and not impressive one. When I first heard about bean I thought it would go somewhere despite the ugly truncated source code lack of parties interested in trading it and Mr. Bean's low standard of morality.

Wow, to put a post out like this you should look at your own state of mind.

I know Christmas can be a lonely time for a lot of people but don't vent your
disappointment here. You can buy the Bean at really good price now and the
future should move the Bean forward. If you do not believe this then go
elsewhere and promote the coin you invest in on their thread rather than
spreading gloom and doom.

Think positive and improve your outlook on life.

Have a good 2017 and keep positive (even in the face of some adversity).

As a senior member should be more responsible. I won't search for your other
posts as they may be just more of the same.

Am i doing right? Should I insert new address or use current address for best staking?

Exactly, now go into input and mark the coins you want to re-block and in the amount field,
put half the value. This will create two blocks ready in six hours for staking.

As a note this can be done on large blocks that you wish to reduce. Each stake is set to 1000
Beans on a block for staking irrespective on the size of the block. Therefore it is wise to have
as many block available for staking as possible.

Kray, I posted this earlier, if you are getting stuck, explain and I will give you pointers.

p.s. Coin control is set on by: settings, options, display, Display Bean control features.

Staking, staking, staking.

The wallet needs to be loaded and unlocked for staking. The staking has a
minimum age limit of 6 hours before blocks can be staked. My observation
is there is a maximum age limit as well. I've reduced my oldest blocks
(ones with the largest number of confirmations) down to a month and still
those ones don't get staked.

Block sizes, I re-block all ones under 4k of Beans and depending on how
often you want to do it will determine the size you re-block them to. I
started re-blocking them to 16k which is fine if you have couple of million
but as your Bean bag gets bigger then this gets a tad of a pain in the butt.
I'm currently re-blocking mine to 100k+ now.

Re-blocking requires the coin control turned on and to save time, copy
your wallet address into both the destination address and the custom change
address. Mark the blocks you want and then put in half the amount of Beans
in the amount field. This has the advantage of producing two new blocks
of that amount. Saves time.

Best to lock the wallet before staring re-blocking as this can result in a
conflict with a block being selected and then subsequently being staked
before the transaction is confirmed.

Any happening like this can be reset by going into the console and
running checkwallet. If this reports errors then do a repairwallet.

Hope this helps and I wish you all a merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Guys, THIS IS A SCAM, do not use!! You have been warned, cheap HYIP scam.

Quote is related to COINITRAGE, I was inclined to think it was, I could not find any reviews on the site.

Any specifics you have to substantiate your statement would be helpful.

bells so I exited.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBean | Innovative PoS | Scalability | No IPO | No premine -New Dev Team on: December 23, 2016, 08:05:05 AM

I realized I will not see them anymore. my coins bought them from Bitrex and sent them in yobit 03.12.2016 Smiley  but never arrived

The best thing we can do is keep putting support tickets in and mentioning it in the chat when the mods are online.

You should see your Bean transaction on the explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bitb/#!extraction so your Beans
will get there when the Yobit wallet comes back online.

When sending any coins into Yobit, check the wallet is online.

I have used the BitBean wallet on several platforms (debain 8, Vista, Windows 7 and windows 10),
both 32bit and 64bit, none have had any problems other than slight rendering differences.

Currently I am using Windows 7 64bit with an outdated BitBean.conf finding 10 peers and it is staking
24/7, note to myself, update the BitBean.conf.

Backup your wallet.dat regularly (with a copy saved on a USB stick or better still save the BitBean
folder when the wallet is not active, that will negate a lengthy resync if disaster hits). I shutdown
and reload the wallet now and again but don't forget to unlock for staking though.

Other maintenance functions if you are staking is to activate the Bean control features so that you
can reblock really old ones and ones that are too small. Maybe this is another discussion, I am glad
to advise.

Anyone having wallet problems please relate as much information here or one of the many other
avenues of communications found on the Bean website http://www.bitbean.org .

hi I downloaded the wallet but the wallet does not work can ..Could you help

Slight lack of information on what your problem is, if you would like to
give us some more details, I will try to help.

Also the wallet generates a log file (debug.log) that could reveal the problem.

Here is a link to a bitbean boot strap https://mega.nz/#F!CJRnyDDL!vbYN-3mvj9RBE7Phl27Sjg

Maybe there are some more up to date ones available, this one I found from a quick scan of this
thread.

Hi. I have a problem with my bitbean wallet: blkindex.dat. What I have to do? Because I don't have access to my wallet

Seems your wallet did not closed properly. If a restart of the wallet will not work then you need to re-sync again.
Save your wallet.dat and delete the rest of the files in the BitBean directory.

This can be speeded up by loading into this directory a copy of the blockchain available on the web.

Always backup your wallet regularly and the whole bitbean directory (when the wallet is not running)
if you have the disk space.
