4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / risks of sharing Watch-only wallets on: March 17, 2021, 11:30:54 AM
We will ignore the privacy issues. I am talking about the risks related to losing your money or accessing the private key.

I share my public key with a lot of untrusted third parties or unprotected devices. And the following questions arise in my mind:

If my computer contains viruses, is there a risk of modifying watch-only data and inserting a suspicious public key? I mean, scammer adds their address when I click deposit.

Incorrect new transaction sign request created. scammer will change my sign data request.

any other risks?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to download Phoenix 5.5b (all official mirrors down) on: March 15, 2021, 01:39:55 PM
I am looking for a download of Phoenix 5.5b (not the most recent 5.5c). All official mirrors are down, so has anyone an alternative mirror for me? Thanks!

6  Other / Meta / Re: Bug or option needs to be added to change ref post in a type 1 flag? on: March 15, 2021, 12:10:30 PM
Cannot delete or edit the flag so you remove the "support" for it and try to create a new flag but if you try to create a new flag the error is: "You have already created a flag for this user within last 180 days" so flag goes nowhere.
we can apply an easier solution? Which is admin to make notifications such as not to put bitcointalk link, archive it first.
Not removing that topic will be problem and editing or deleting flag will be other problem.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Input with all address type on: March 15, 2021, 11:59:16 AM
Can I create a transaction containing all Bitcoin address? P2PKH (1) P2SH (3) Bech32 (bc1)
If possible, why would the wallets create a separate wallet file for each address type or you can have one recovery file but all addresses are separate.

The other question is, can I send money from several inputs one of those inputs is an address containing 0 Bitcoin or invalid one?
8  Economy / Economics / Tokenized Bitcoin effect on: March 10, 2021, 02:59:06 PM
Tokenized Bitcoin mean any way to use bitcoin on other blockchains or layer 2 or third part system as PayPal.
Bitcoin is viewed as a “reserve asset” or store of value that have top market Cap and slow network that have high fees.
Tokenizing is one of the solutions for anyone who wants to use Bitcoin and make fast payments.
we are seeing a growth in the number of BTC on Ethereum ¬ 180K BTC

Total bitcoin locked in lightning network ¬ 1.1K BTC

PayPal bitcoin purchases

Will we ever witness that we use Bitcoin on other networks more than Mainnet and how it will affect the market capacity.

9  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Does RBF reduce my privacy? on: March 10, 2021, 02:35:08 PM
I broadcast a transaction to make some payments and after a while I decided it was not worth it.  I double-spent it using RBF to my wallet address.
Does double spending using RBF reduce the privacy of wallet? can goverments/IRS/trackers know the addresses in my wallet because I broadcast that transaction, or is it considered safe as if I did not click on the broadcast button?
