Vericoin wants to use the blockchain to go after a mass audience, not the crypto nuts!...
If you want centralized system just use Visa credit card or PayPal… they are much more usefull than any Veri BTC LTC in speed, easy to use... and accepted everywhere, connected with you bank… You can eve buy preloaded credit cards for children, transaction are completed in seconds… centralized system works. Crypto is about non authority control currency you can send money when you want (to shops, to Wikileaks ) and transactions can not be charge backs… Here is biggest value of crypto currency. In real that was only ONE good reason to use crypto, to feel free and transactions can not be stopped… transactions can not be charge back… goverments can put regulations but it can not be stopped. This is value of crypto. Does crypto have any implications outside of crypto? Just wondering. Because there is a whole group of people including myself that think coins are stupid, but that the true innovation lies within the blockchain. The one we just proved can reverse theft and preserve a currency through quick work, and dilligent actions from the community, led by 3 rock solid developers. If anyone can fix this, why not a microsoft employee like the one we have developing for VRC? QUALITY folks. VRC has it The problem with your innovation you talk about is that it can be viewed both ways...good in times of crisis but harmful if done too often. VRC is nothing better than the current banking system. Mintpal has not provided proof (as far as I am aware) they were indeed hacked and not just claimed to have been hacked.
This sets a precedent now.
I can see a user getting 20% of the coin supply in the future...selling them for BTC or buying something for VRC and after they get what they want they can just cry foul and ask for the devs to roll back the VRC blockchain because they claimed they had coins stolen that were of "substantial" amount.
This is a joke what happened today.

i really like vericoin trying and its a good start. but its not that great.. bitcoin has mixing and sms aswell. Not even talking about how PoS is never going to work
Ok that's how it normally is. However how I feel about vericoin is so much different compared to another coins. You should see the bigger picture here. New innovations come and go but with vericoin it's just different. We possibly have the best and most dedicated devs around here. I invest in them, not only in some new innovation. These guys are capable of doing HUGE things and I really think we can push this coin out of crypto. |

I luv this coin. Just made me a huge amount of btc , i am sorry for selling it at 54K i hope i didnt initialised the dump with my vericoin but i hold it for 3 weeks now made a 10x. I will definitly donate some coins now for the Android wallet project in BTC and maybe get in later again . IF!!!.... and i say IF the price go back to 40K i will definitly buy again because there is so much air up for this coin, but for now i want to say thank you all great work great dev. you deserve the Crown. I can't watch this anymore. Sold 200k VRC @ 1000 satoshi  a month ago when almost nobody was trading VRC anymore and the wallet had the syncronizing problems. But this coin deserves doing so well. We are starting to play around with some themes now to further development and focus on our VeriCoin services.
Also, does anyone know any really good responsive themes for Wordpress that are friendly for a amature web designer to learn with?

better use a sans serif font.. I agree. Change the font and somehow the layout looks a bit "incomplete". That's all I can say  Hopefully I am not being impatient by pushing out an unfinished product, I just want to get the name out and start helping people / getting qued up in the search ect while we work on a concept. These are all still under major beta testing. I am not a skilled developer, Just trying to get to the point where I can bring a working website to the world and then hopefully interest a professional designer in due time. I got a few years where I can stay unemployed and really focus on creating a company that adds value to crypto. I think we all appreciate your work here! |

I have one question to William Sedlak about the physical coins. I pledged 50$ so I won't get any kind of COA? Nothing at all? I could not afford to pay 50$ more to receive it but I think even the 50$ coin should include a simple COA that tells the coin is .999 silver and how many coins are there at least... plus where it's made! It could have been made in your garage if we won't know anything about the coin  Only 3 of 50$ coins still available to pledge! |
