Dear EnergyCoin community,

After 11 years of involvement with EnergyCoin, I am stepping back as a virtual community leader and maintainer of key infrastructure, including the EnergyParty and the web wallet.

The dream of using blockchain technology to support a more sustainable, democratic, and fair world has inspired me for many years. EnergyCoin represented an alternative path — a green route connecting technology with ecology. This community and its vision have given me much: connection, creativity, and hope.

But the reality is that I can no longer carry (or wish to carry) the initiative forward. EnergyParty (our fork of CounterParty on the EnergyCoin blockchain) is now offline after 8 years, and the web wallet has also been discontinued. The technical infrastructure requires renewal and hosting, but I’m passing the torch.

I will remain active with Stakecoin, but purely as a hobbyist. My focus has shifted toward new expressions of inner and outer sustainability.

My sincere thanks to everyone who supported, used, or shared in this vision.

Installation is very simple if you are familiar with terminal commands.

Thx SST for your kind words and this gives me ENRG to continue in my mission.
I just bought 40 micro PCs that can contribute to the success of EnergyCoin.
All community members can buy them for € 50 of 50k ENRG and the option that I buy them back if the project is not successful in 2 years.
Check the website and YouTube video for information about this IOT device that can run ENRG/BTC and STK node together with 4GB Ram on Ubuntu or W10.
The Energy consumption is about 11 W/h which is very energy efficient.
I shall post some pictures of the project and the thin-client offer soon.

The reason is that I as the founder of EnergyCoin Foundation never lost my ambition to search for opportunities to make this coin a success.
The only limitation I have is that I shall never invest large amounts of money into the project but my time is for free and Stakecoin and Energycoin are my hobby.

Hi ENRG people,

Maybe my last Christmas post on this topic.
On January 24th I go with Hugo to a potential partner and see how we can cooperate on the development of the green energy-forecast application to save CO2 emissions and participants can earn green tokens to spend on energy-measures in-house.
If this meeting is not successful there are only 3 months left I supporting the network with 10 nodes and the EnergyParty web wallet server.
The donations of other members as me to the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet are important. For now, I donated 50k ENRG and the goal is 12.5 M by April 30th.
At this moment I'm disappointed in the support of the 'community' but after January 24th I hope this shall change!

For now, I wish all the ENRG people a great Chrismas-time and a happy new year.
Let 2023 be the year of EnergyCoin!

I had a good talk with Hugo about options for future development.
EnergyCoin is based on 2014 technology and it is not easy to reform this to the current state of the art.
Hugo has good connections and my proposal was to see if the partner has an interest in our name or foundation.
We talked also about the application for consumers to get rewards for low CO2 energy consumption based on energy forecasts by Helga van Leur.
Hugo told me about the waterbed effect but in my vision, it is good that pro- and consumers are aware of the CO2 effect of their energy consumption behavior.

Tomorrow again my weekly PoD and I really hope for more support from the community.
There is a limit a man can give for the good course and by the 30th of April 2023, my limit is reached when this topic is still almost dead and no new development has started. So follow the leader (me) and donate more than you like to lose because if you don't then I stop supporting the network, web wallets and more.

I say people because we are not a real active community yet.
My mission till the 30th of April 2023 is to convert ENRG people to EnergyCoin community!
You know I have 1001 ideas for applying EnergyCoin but working them out is very difficult.
Brian is leaving the EnergyCoin Foundation (ECF) and this is the time for me to collaborate seriously again with Hugo and Anne-Marie the last active members of ECF.
I will operate as an independent person to boost the EnergyParty ecosystem.

As you all know I'm the owner of EnergyParty with web wallet smart token functionality and I pay monthly for the server hosting.
I go back to the original idea for EnergyParty we had in January 2018, after that time our development partner dropped the support and wished only to focus on EnergyCoin development and we know where we are now.

So I keep EnergyParty alive and will hand over the control to ECF under the condition that the is 12.5M ENRG in the ECF2017 wallet by the 30th of April 2023 and that ECF collaborates with me on a serious application to save CO2 by using energy when 100% renewable origion. There is a business in The Netherlands that want to pay for saved CO2 and with smart meter connected to EnergyParty we can build the first application for EnergyCoin tokens on EnergyParty. When we start building after the design and contract with the CO2 partners I donate € 5000 euro to ECF bank account when also 12.5M ENRG is in the ECF2017 wallet.
My interest is to get the honor of actually building an Energycoin blockchain (EnergyParty) application for the EnergyCoin community.
Now I see most of you as ENRG people but I want to be proud and like to say EnergyCoin Community, I'm here now for almost 9 years active!

I do not intend to take away 90% of the value ENRG but to boost the value with more connection to Bitcoin.
ENRG had 6 digits available and BTC 8 zo we only divided by 100 and then 8 digits too for ENRG. The proposed new wallet can display the old ENRG value.
With 1.2 M new-ENRG there is a long way to reach the 21M of BTC so a new reward schema can be deployed.

The idea of the helper coin sounds good and that is what I had in mind for Stakecoin but only my friends understand my vision.
With a new hard fork, I maybe pay partly for, the integration of new ENRG, STK, and BTC-bank as part of the concept.
The building stones are available and must be put together. For the blockchain exchange, I have my eye on https://hybrix.io/en and for the energy smart-meter, there are several options and local tokens we can use EnergyParty that offers a lot of functionality that can be deployed.

Hi ENRG people,

I play with the thought that we alter the specs of EnergyCoin.
EnergyCoin is 10x more rare than Bitcoin because we have 6 digits and Bitcoin 8.
What if we add 2 extra digits and decrease the number of coins factor 100.
Then we have 1.2 ENRG in circulation but with 8 digits so the value can be the same.
Then we double the amount of ENRG but these coins stay in stock under the control of the EnergyCoin Foundation.
I have a nice feature in mind to unlock a part of the 1.2 M ENRG by sending BTC to a locked address linked to the EnergyCoin blockchain.
This Bitcoin can only be unlocked when sending the same amount of ENRG to a locked EnergyCoin address.
This is a kind of coinswap feature.
Then introduce a halving scheme like Bitcoin has so that there can never be more EnergyCoin than 21M.
I know these new specs are not cheap to implement and a new hard fork is needed.

I hope people become more motivated to support EnergyCoin.

Then I consider investing fiat savings for development.
After 30 April 2023, when the goal is not reached, I stop contributing my energy and money to supporting EnergyCoin's survival and shall unplug my NUCs.

Yesterday I saw a post on Twitter about the Pow en PoS transformation of Etherium and it is a complex version of Proof of Stake.
in the post was mentioned an extra chain needed for security and that is exactly what I have in mind with the NUC-network I manage and EnergyCoin, Stakecoin and Bitcoin together as a full node. Bitcoin we can't deny and I play with my mind to connect the 3 chains to boost security and the reward for running the node by get a virtual share of joint ownership or BTC. The BTC is owned by the community and can't be spent because of the multi-sig wallet. I have 0.03 BTC in this NUC-stake configuration and the idea is that if you join you pay the contribution and get free ENRG and or STK to support the network. The stake you earn can be converted automatically into a share of BTC-tokens on the EnergyParty.

To make this ecosystem complete it must be part of Hybrix.io network and then only for HY, ENRG, STK and BTC. But development is needed before that can be done. In the Hybrix.io ecosystem, you can easily swap between coins and also a gateway to fiat is possible, no exchange is needed.

With this technical framework for ENRG, STK, BTC and HY it is easy to create environmental applications.
With EnergyParty a tokenstore is available for environmental applications and with Hybrix a gateway to BTC and Fiat is possible.

This ecosystem is complex but for users, it can be easy to use.
The nerts maintain the blockchain and the users make use of the tokenstore and improve the environment.

This is just 1% of what I have in my mind but this is just the beginning.

I got some feedback on my offer to donate € 5000 in return for a total donation of 12.5M ENRG in the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet I control.
These €5000 and the 12.5M ENRG are needed to restart the EnergyCoin ecosystem IMO.
The feedback I got

First I'm not part of the EnergyCoin Foundation but I want to support them because ENRG made me the person I'm today.
In my vision, Stakecoin and EnergyCoin are connected as Ying and Yang.

I have been thinking of a 'roadmap' and I want to share what I have in mind.
The 12.5M ENRG before the end of the year is a very important milestone for me.
EnergyCoin I see as my baby and the navel cord is still connected and as long EnergyCoin blockchain can't survive without my attention there is no progression possible.

My personal roadmap is simple:
On January 1st 2023 all the nodes I control stop staking when there is no 12.5 M ENRG in the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet I control.
On March 13th 2023 (my birthday) when there is no 12.5 M ENRG in ECF wallet I send all the ENRG of my family and friend nodes to the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet I control.
On April 30th 2023 (the EnargyCoin 9th anniversary) and there is no 12.5M ENRG available I stop all the ENRG nodes, and continue the Stakecoin nodes.
Also I stop paying for the EnergyParty web-wallet service.

In Q2-Q3 2023 maybe I restart the EnergyCoin blockchain as a fork but only for the people who supported me. If you didn't send your ENRG donation to the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet, you have no possibility to take part in the new Energycoin-ecosystem.

Maybe my vision brings success or maybe not but continuing doing nothing brings us to nowhere.

The name EnergyCoin is too valuable to ignore the future.


Think about all my offers to bring new Energy to ecosystem.
You can convert Energycoin to Stakecoin (50-1) and the ENRG go into the EnergyCoin Foundation wallet I control.
