I saw this from the Guardian: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/sep/14/bitcoin-mt-gox-ceo-mark-karpeles-charged-embezzlingHe is alleged to have transferred money from Gox’s bank account to other accounts in October 2013, where it was mainly spent on buying licenses for 3D-rendering software, according to Jiji Press. Some of the money was also allegedly used on an “expensive custom-built bed”, Jiji added. Does he own a 3D rendering software company? It would only make sense if it was his company and he was laundering money through it.

yes, this is similar to buying trust ratings basically..
No, this will only stimulate parties to leave feedback (positive or not). This is more fair and more difficult for escrow agent than earning trust when making regular trading... And of course, I will make chargeback only to the address involved in escrow or person must be able to sign a message with it. Stimulate lol. With that logic bribes are only used to stimulate or encourage a party too. Whether you want to admit it or not this is clearly trust farming and offering encouragement to leave feedback in exchange for discounts. A person of your rank shouldn't be offering escrow services either regardless if its multisig or not.

All this shows is that they're obviously worried about the potential of bitcoin. And if anything is going to 'put the country’s financial ecosystem on its head' it will be the banks of India that print their own money on a whim.

There's really no need to keep pointless spamming 'waiting for the next match' especially when you don't even suggest ones yourself.
My suggestion for tonight: West Brom vs Man City

Real Madrid 4 v 4 AC Milan
Probably going to be no where near that score line but oh well. Think it'll be closer to 2-2.

PLEASE FUCKING DEMOTE RANDALL he muted me for "begging via pm" and yet Bminus openly begs in chat and no mute VIPBMINUS15:50 accepting donations HOW THE FUCK can mods play favorites? ? How about don't beg in the first place? I agree mods shouldn't play favorites (if that's what they're doing) but just because others are doing it or getting away with it doesn't mean it's ok for you to. Begging is annoying.

I was wondering is there such thing as an offline wallet for our smart phones? There are a lot for pc but I haven't heard any yet if there is.
My advice is to simply not use a phone as offline storage for any serious amounts of BTC. You should do that at home and keep it safe, and not carry it around. Use smartphone for change money that you can use to spend, just like an actual physical wallet with some dollar bills and coins. I absolutely agree with this. Don't keep massive amounts on a phone. Just keep your coins in a wallet offline and make several back ups just make sure your computer is safe. You can instal or dual boot ubuntu or buy a raspberry pi and just use it exclusively for your coins.

I'd only be willing to reward companies that take bitcoin as a payment option if they offer appropriate discounts to make it worth my while. If they aren't willing to help incentivize more people to want to pay with bitcoin by offering these discounts then they deserve their fiat or less business in my mind.
I agree with the above two comments. Their savings aren't really enough that they can afford to pass them on to their customers but maybe over time they could if more people choose to use bitcoin. At the moment though I think we should just be happy that we can even spend our coins there at all. Some companies do offer a discount or other promotions for using bitcoin though like this https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/cannabis-seeds-news/new-humboldt-strains10off-bitcoin-promo/

Wut? Can you give more context because this doesn't really make sense to me. How can you delete others posts or are you talking about self-modded threads? If you are then that's why I don't even bother posting in them because you run the risk of the user just deleting your post if they don't like or agree with it.

I carry maximum $100 in cash. But I always bring my atm with me.
You carry an ATM machine with you every where you go? --- I only take whatever I think I need. I usually have a bank card on me though just in case and of course a little in my bitcoin wallet on my phone just incase the situation ever pops up where I could spend it.

I ment collateral haha, I was planning in using an Escrow anyway, thanks for the input. I was planning on asking alt coins as collateral which may mean slow business, but a not so devastating outcome when I get scammed :/
Once you build up enough rep/trades you'll be able to take collateral without escrow, though using as escrow will be time consuming just for loans. I'd take forum accounts as collateral as most people wont even need to loan money if they've already got the sufficient amount in alts though there are lots of people doing this already so people would likely choose another user over you. How could I take an account as collateral? Surely I would be shown as being a bit malicious selling off accounts, and surely they could just reset the password on the account? Plenty of people buy/trade/sell accounts. Just look at the digital goods section. In fact I think forum accounts are the most popular form of collateral these days. To secure an account you just change all the details including the email address and there's not really any way they can get it back. They could go to the admins and try convince them it was hacked but with a little investigation they would see it wasn't. You can always change the signature/personal text to 'account currently held as collateral by Fishbones78 etc as well.

On the contrary, if everyone or almost everyone held their coins the value of bitcoin would skyrocket seeing as they were so rare.
The same could be said about tulip bulbs. Resources must be not only scarce but also valued. The problem of "everyone just hold!" is if that becomes the ONLY reason to hold, it is unsustainable. Bitcoin is quite a bit different that tulip bulbs for numerous reasons. Using bulbs as a currency would obviously be a bit silly but that was just more of a wild investment that went sour and collapsed. Bitcoin is already a currency with a fixed supply whereas tulip bulbs wern't. Of course bitcoin could still colapse but tulip mania and bitcoin are two completely different models.
