NEW VERSION RELEASE - VoltPotCoin (VPC) v1.3.0This is a Mandatory UpdateVPC Core v1.3.0 is a mandatory update for all users. This release contains new consensus rules and improvements that are not backwards compatible with older versions. Users will need to update their clients before enforcement of this update goes into effect. Masternodes will need to be restarted once both the masternode daemon and the controller wallet have been upgraded. You might need to perform a "wallet repair" with a full -resync. If needed, please ask for support on official Voltpot's social media channels. WHAT'S NEW- New consensus rules implemented - Internal (Core) Changes Version 2 Stake Modifier: A new 256-bit modifier for the proof of stake protocol has been defined.
It is computed at every block, by taking the hash of the modifier of previous block along with the coinstake input.
To meet the protocol, the PoS kernel must comprise the modifier of the previous block.
Block index batch writing: Block index writes are now done in a batch. This allows for less frequent disk access, meaning improved performances and less data corruption risks.
Eliminate needless key generation: The staking process has been improved to no longer request a new (unused) key from the keypool. This should reduce wallet file size bloat as well as slightly improve staking efficiency.- GUI Changes Removal of zero-fee transaction option: The long term viability of acceptable zero-fee transaction conditions is in need of review. As such, we are temporarily disabling the ability to create zero-fee transactions.

See-Saw Rewards Mechanism has been activatedBlock rewards received by the staker and winning masternode vary based on the amount of coins held for masternodes vs amount of coins available for staking on the network. Allows for variable rewards based on the network needs, to keep the network services (Masternodes) and the security of the network (Staking Wallets) evenly distributed. If the percentage of the coins locked into masternodes collaterals decrease, masternodes rewards will increase to stimulate users create more masternodes. If that percentage goes too high (e.g. many masternodes created) the masternode block reward will decrease in order to stimulate more coins to be used for staking. VOLTPOT.COM platform is working as a complex B2B and B2C "tool". The marketplace is an "open" one, like Amazon.com, where registered users/companies can open their own "online shop" within Voltpot's platform. We were focusing on implementing the VoltPotCoin within Voltpot's platform lately (including moving from PoW to the more eco-friendly POS version). So we didn't have enough resources left to get more users/companies selling their products on Voltpot's marketplace in the past months. We are expecting you to see more items being added to the marketplace, once we'll get back to advertising the great opportunities Voltpot platform offers to renewable energy/electric mobility businesses, especially now, with our latest POS blockchain option included. The "virtual battery" is building itself as we speak. Every existent or newly registered Voltpot user which is using platform's services is basically either "building" or "using" his/her own "virtual battery" already. It's better explained in VoltPotCoin's White Paper how that works. I have an update for you. When you have a spare moment, stop your explorer, do a git pull and restart the explorer. I added better support for USD price lookups of any altcoin, so your ETH and USDT pairs should now return proper values. Please keep in mind that for now it only displays the USD value for the default exchange trading pair (as it always did), and not an average of all markets. I plan to add the average market price as an option in the near future, but hopefully this will suffice for now.

Please accept my apologies. I was looking into this problem a bit deeper and realized that the reason your "Price" and "Marketcap" boxes are not populating is because the explorer currently only supports BTC markets when populating those values. I have added this to my TODO list and will add support for ETH and USDT and other markets in the near future. For now, you may want to hide those boxes via the config until a fix is released.

Thanks for posting the results of the peers and market sync. I believe your crontab problem has to do with the fact that you are not passing the correct nodejs path. If you specify the wrong path while running a sync cmd, it will attempt to lookup the correct path, which works when running manually but does not work in crontab. Therefore, you absolutely must specify the correct path in crontab otherwise it will fail. Be sure to replace YOUR_FULL_PATH_TO_THE_EXPLORER_SCRIPTS_DIRECTORY with the full path to your explorer/scripts directory and replace YOUR_FULL_PATH_TO_NODE with the path to your node install that you got from the which node cmd. In regards to the problem with the "price" and "marketcap" boxes showing zero, it is because the stex api only returns values for trades made in the last 24 hours. Therefore the price and marketcap will always be zero until someone buys some coins and you run a market sync after that. Hopefully that all makes sense Amazing... Crontab now working. Thanks. Waiting to see if "Price" and "Marketcap" boxes will show some values as there was some recent moves on Stex exchange. |

Thanks for the explorer link. I can see that you are able to sync the main blockchain data without troubles, but it seems that the peer and market sync have not been run successfully. Running scripts/sync.sh /path/to/nodejs check won't be very useful for you in this case since your blockchain looks to be synced already and that is not the problem. Try running these cmds manually to sync the stex market data and peers list: sh /path/to/explorer/scripts/sync.sh market
sh /path/to/explorer/scripts/sync.sh peers
Can you post the results of those two cmds? I'm guessing one or both are showing an error msg. They do work if I run them one by one in Terminal. They don't work though via Crontab. That's what I'm trying to point to. Also, as you can see, the boxes for "price" and "marketcap" shows ZERO, despite the market (Stex) is correctly synced. scripts/sync.sh /path/to/nodejs peers
