So if anyone has an archive or copy of the lmb holdings website when it was first passed around, there was a huge bio danny brewster wrote about himself, he pretty much wrote his life story, listing every job he had, references, info about his wife, family, etc.. it would probably be helpful in tracking him down if an archive exists somewhere.

82  Economy / Digital goods / 3 domains FS: namecoin.tv, namecoin.im, namecoin.ca on: June 12, 2014, 04:11:40 AM
I have these 3 domains for sale:

namecoin.tv
namecoin.ca
namecoin.im

All pretty tasty if namecoin takes off.

Act fast though, because they expire in 2 days and if renew them I'm not going to offer them for sale 'till next year.

Post/PM offers.  Looking to sell them as a lot.

Well it's a great advertising tool and I believe a lot of users would be encouraged to use this banner across the board most especially if there were benefits for affiliates to earn certain percentage on fees for share sales.. Just a thought.. Havelock! Lol

There are those exact benefits in place!  Smiley Users earn a percentage from both publishers and advertisers who sign up through the banners, if you are logged in the page wraps the banner in the referral link.  This is probably not the thread to discuss this.. but check it out sometime.
86  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 10, 2014, 09:06:40 PM
I made some banners that grab data from Havelock every few minutes:

I didn't think I could post a PHP image on Bitcointalk but apparently we can.

edit: so apparently they show as $0.00  when Havelock is down!

Awesome banners!!! Compliments to you for the efforts and lol but seeing as havelock is down quite a lot of the time, those banners will be showing zero quite often unfortunately

I'm going to put a clause in there for if the API times out it displays either (user configurable) HAVELOCK IS DOWN!! or default to a banner style of their choice, bitcoin, etc.
edit: It doesn't have a problem anymore with the zero display. I just don't save the value if it's zero, so it'll just be old data until they come online.  But it would be cool to show that they were down...

Well this is good news, wonder how the share prices will be effected... Havelock price hasn't really moved (still around ~.24)

Well, why should it? It's definitely good news, a sleek miner, and even more communication from FC. But no groundbreaking things have happened. It was already known that the boards have been published. FC showing off a complete miner is mere icing on the cake, but nothing more.
I have to remark, though, that everyone on the hardware forum and reddit is quite excited and all the 'usual suspects' are looking into getting their hands on that miner. This definitely is a good sign.

Divs are probably the only thing at this point that are going to make people excited.  Numbers and pictures aren't doing the trick.  However, to a dedicated shareholder, it doesn't matter what the shares are trading for if you plan on holding, lower = better if you are still stocking up!

Any circuit board where chips are arranged in a grid looks nice to me Smiley
Any miner where circuit boards are arranged in a rectangle looks nice to me Smiley
Cuboid is the word you are looking for, no?

Rectangular prism?
90  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 10, 2014, 10:16:44 AM
sexy beast!!!

We had AM_BE200_X24 boards sampled and tested. We also sampled the compatible heatsinks and supporting structures for them. It hashes at 768GH (each board 192GH) with 0.85-0.92W/G without PSU. Power draws on higher/lower hashrate with higher/lower voltage is under testing. The design files of heatsinks/structures are going to be released a little later.

It should be emphasized that QUAD and X32 are also sampled and well tested before X24.

So it's been 8 days and my direct shares haven't been transferred.  How does this normally work?  Is there a place I can submit a support ticket or something?  I'm beginning to get a little impatient...

same here

Yea same as well, it's been about a week for me.

+1.
9th day today

The platform almost matters less then the person who runs it to be honest.... again.  SOMEONE should do it, someone with reputation and trust (and possibly a good number of shares to start things off with).  I have an OTC rating that is positive, a neutral rating on BCT, but really that is nothing.  Several people that post often in this thread have a more "lofty" reputation in the community then myself which is really needed for this sort of thing.

What we need a system without someone needing to be trusted.
93  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 08, 2014, 06:03:34 AM
On this note, has anyone done any legwork on setting up an AM PT on some 2.0 exchange?  It would be nice if someone with established trust did it... but if no one gives Havelock any competition I may end up doing it myself once I do the research on which platform to use.

I wonder if Peershares would be suitable?
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Open Source Block Erupter Project on: June 06, 2014, 08:31:39 PM
Anyone interested in designing a Cube Block Erupter retro-fit?
now we're talking!!!  there's a large market for this and the earlier blades too, since the power boards are out there.
if people could buy replacement blades for either platform, they would.  and if they could replace one at a time that would be phenomenal as well.

It would also be more environmentally friendly to re-use parts we already have! Smiley

Great news!  Looking forward to AM domination!

Those 32 chip boards sound tasty... mmmm...

Thread title should probably say "Peercoin" nowadays..

Also maybe a summary blob on top of the original OP?

I Haven't used it before...
How is the pay rate, compared with adf.ly?

The worst thing is that there are no rates on the site.

There are no rates posted on the website because it is a bidding system.  The payouts will fluxuate constantly depending on the users' bids in the system.

I Haven't used it before...
How is the pay rate, compared with adf.ly?

The worst thing is that there are no rates on the site.

The worst thing is, after 4 days, my advertisement is still "Pending review" and not live. Just going to cancel it. If you can't activate my ad after 4 days then you don't deserve my business.

And the withdrawal threshold is way higher than it needs to be. Why a 0.01 threshold?

0.01 BTC threshold is in place to prevent users from requesting tons of small withdrawals every day.  People would request a few satoshis and then complain that it is taking days upon days to process, even with the 0.01 threshold it takes awhile to get through everyone each day.

Sorry about if there were delays in the processing of some ads, I'm going to assume you meant interstitial ads, sometimes those took longer recently.  That is all resolved though.
98  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone deal with CoinURL.com? on: June 04, 2014, 10:25:32 PM
Beware that you'll never be able to get your funds out of there. They won't pay much so you'll probably never make more than their minimum withdraw limit.

Also, they may approve your site and let you make something for months and then suddenly "disapprove your site" but let their ads run on your site without you making any money until you contact them and ask them wtf.

Same here.
I have run Coinurl ads since before they had the system for approval of sites (they only had ad slots approval when I install ads). For several months the clicks appear as pending, Now they have rejected my sites, and clicks (last 3 months) have become rejected or N/A too.

I'm removing it. Coinurl, no thanks...
Be aware.

We have paid out almost 400 BTC at CoinURL.  It is a bold statement to say you will *never* get your withdrawal.  The minimum withdrawal is currently equivalent to $8 US right now, you could easily reach that in one day, some users clear that in an hour, but we only accept high quality websites.  If your website was denied, just resubmit for moderation.  Any questions email info@coinurl.com

anyone know how to check the website list CoinURL is working with?

We don't share this information.  Sorry!
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CoinUrl on: June 04, 2014, 06:53:23 PM
I am not sure if this is allowed in this forum (maybe you should ask in the Meta sub-forum?) But I think this is against coinurl terms and requirements too and they will freeze accounts of users who participate in this?.
FTFY

you need A LOT of traffic for coinurl to make a noticeable return

Well... I have used most of the advertisement sites (other than Adsense), including Adbrite, Blacklabelads, Coinurl, A-ads.etc. But it was Coinurl which gave me the maximum amount of returns.

Glad to hear you are enjoying our service!  Smiley

Back on topic.

The fact that BF has raised $20M indicates they are going to aggressively expand. AM's growth is limited by how much money it is willing to spend vs payout in divs. If we want growth, then we have to give up divs...conversely, if we want growth we have to give up divs (and/or get outside funding).

agreed.  if divs are hurting the company we should be able to hang tight without dumping shares the next day.  most companies don't pay divs often.

but also let's get some cash flowing through, it's not the dividends that are hurting us, it's the huge waits.. january 20th was supposed to be tapeout and it was overdue back then.

I hope AM can really pump out the chips, completely flood the market.  do that all year and pay us at christmas time, that I'd like to see.
