1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I teach my kid to love and respect this forum? on: June 12, 2026, 11:07:00 PM
So I want to ask some advice from older members here. How would you introduce btt to your son or daughter?
Their newfound interest in Bitcoin will tell me whether I should introduce them to the forum to learn about Bitcoin and the technical aspects that surround it.

I like it when someone decides to join a platform on their own, based on what they have seen or learned, and then I will be in a good position to bring them forward to that.

The sons and daughters we have, I don't think it is certain that they will partake in the things we did. They may not do that because of a lack of interest in that. It is then fine for us to find out from them whether they have an interest in what they find us doing before we think of introducing them to what we are doing.

I think, you should find out from your daughter whether she has an interest in joining the forum and learning about Bitcoin. If yes, then you can introduce her to the forum
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2026/27 Season on: June 12, 2026, 10:23:48 PM
Before the last champions league tournament ended in favour of PSG all where confident enough to say it belonged to arsenal because of there consistent performance at the beginning of the tournament but how everything ended against them is what I can't tell till now. Just like mentioned,  arsenal appeared so promising that all teams where afraid to face them including bayern Munich  that is among the best teams in the world but lost it all when they reluctantly played games with full confidence that it is finished but one thing sure is arsenal may end up winning the champions league next season.
Next season? Don't be too sure that Arsenal will win the Champions League next season. They can do that some other season for sure, not for next season because we don't know what it will be like whether Arsenal will remain in form as they were last season. You know that by next season, many club sides will try to equip their team by signing new players for the Champions League trophy. It won't be an easy matchup for Arsenal to repeat the unbeaten run to the finals of the Champions League
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 12, 2026, 08:00:52 PM
From what am seeing on my Tele, honestly Canada were only considered favourites because they are among the hosts otherwise this game doesn't look promising for them as Bosnia looks more of the dangerous team when they come Infront of goal, maybe too early to call but these are among the low scoring games am having on my watchlist.

Inplay prediction Canada 0-2 Bosnia

I am trusting the match to end in a draw match or Canada wins. A goal defeat to Canada in first half, Canada can come out strong in the second half to equalize it, as they will strategize and fill in the lapses they have in the first half. I expect to see something different in the second half, a goal or two from Canada
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: African Football Discussion Thread Current Topic: 👉 FIFA WorldCup 2026. on: June 11, 2026, 10:52:30 PM
We are finally here, the much anticipated world cup starts today. The opening match starts in few minutes from now between one of the hosts Mexico Vs South Africa. As an African, we are meant to support other African countries naturally, but in this this I won't be supporting the "go beck to your country" people, my support tonight will be fully for Mexico. I don't want a situation were I will be supporting South Africa and their country men will say I'm taking their jobs away from them.
Lols. South Africa has really make other Africa nation to dislike everything about them. Some Africans are anticipating for them to be kicked out from the group stage since they have loss their first match of the tournament to Mexico. It remains for them to lose to Czech and South Korea next, and they will be out of the World Cup tournament, to go and continue from where their country men's stopped from chasing out strangers out of their country, all in the name of "taking their jobs". That's madness, leaving the main thing to tackle, to chase after what is not right.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Develop a Security Mindset Before Buying Your First Bitcoin. on: June 11, 2026, 03:59:46 PM
I don't know whether it is now hard for us to find a newbie who haven't fallen victim to scammers, or made the mistake of not taking the security measures of protecting their Bitcoin serious.

I see meaning in what Hatchy said about the best way to educate newbies is let them learn from their mistakes.q That way they will learn to take the security they learn of seriously. I too learned from my mistake as a newbie, that's why I don't take the security measures of how to store up my Bitcoin for long term for granted.
6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Who are you inviting to Bitcointalk on: June 11, 2026, 02:48:24 PM
The forum is open to everyone we feel we want to invite for this forum, but where the issue lies na whether those people wey we invite go like stay for this forum for long without giving up on reading and learning about Bitcoin without being paid, unless they service to render.

In other words, I know how many people wey I don talk to about how the btt forum d. They all run away because they can't deal with how the forum dey. So, they got discouraged, because they no want start wetin d no fit finish
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World politics of seeing less developed countries as terrorist country on: June 10, 2026, 07:27:53 PM
No country in the world that doesn't have dirty linens on them. Is the country that made theirs to be open, for other world to see, will other nation crucify and judge.

Some of the Arab nations and Africa has allow terrorists group to dwell among them to an extents they make live unbearable for the citizens of those Arab and African nations. You don't expect Americans whose government fight very hard to flush out terrorists in their country to give an open hand to countries that terrorists disturbs a lot. They have to do all they can in their power to watch and inspect the citizens of those nation that terrorists disturbs before they enter their country.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lessons Learned from 1000+ Hours of GAMBLING : What I’ve Discovered ! on: June 10, 2026, 07:04:14 PM
I don't think there's any gambler who doesn't experience a dopamine rush when they are losing at gambling. That's why many times you find most gamblers finding it hard to quit as they gamble, despite losing money. To them, they feel they can try one more time to recover all their losses at a go.

The worst part of having Dopamine is that it can make you gamble for many hours just to satisfy your urge of gambling. The funniest part is that you won't tend to realize how much time and money you have spent while gambling all in the name of pursuing losses
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins Done? on: June 10, 2026, 05:42:40 PM
Altcoins are not done, as a matter of fact,  just this year, many new altcoins has been launched and like you know, most of them only tends to pump on that first day it's being listed and after which, it dumps to the bottom and you might not hear of it again, it's by luck before you can find and buy an altcoins that will double your capital, the risk is high and if you must buy any altcoins, you should spend the amount you can afford to lose.
When we say altcoins are done, it is not really about the many that were launched in the market; it is about them skyrocketing and giving maximum profits for investors. Not about them being pumped in their early stage, only to later get dumped in a few months by those who bought low and have a large portion of the coin. That is what we have been having for a long time about altcoins, which we advise people to invest in with an amount they can afford to lose
10  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: If you have 40M Naira right now , would you japa or start a business in Nigeria? on: June 09, 2026, 05:03:41 PM
People d sell their properties, d sell their cars, leaving their good paying jobs to japa, and I come get that huge amount at a go, and I d think of whether to japa or continue staying in a country wey peso no get rest of mind.

Na before wey I d prefer to stay in this our country than traveling out. But as things are getting worse, our currency devaluing each day, I don d reason to japa whenever I get funds. I know sae so many other people d reason the same way cos them no fit continue to stay in our country wey their lives no d safe, and nothing else is working for their own progress
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2025/2026 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: June 09, 2026, 04:22:12 PM
This new season could be the major reason why we can conclude on whether Haaland is going to remain in Manchester City or leave, I've always speculated that any reason could be used for why a player could decided to leave or stay, but I think we should still look more critically under the aspect of the team itself, if probably is still find their conditions the same he could continue with or consider for another one.
The season hasn't started nor has it gone halfway, for Haaland to think of leaving Manchester City just because he found Maresca to be the new coach of Manchester City. For Haaland to take such a step, he would wait until the end of this season to see what the future of Manchester City would be like under Maresca, whether it would decline or remain the same way ''improve"
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: African Football Discussion Thread Current Topic: 👉 FIFA WorldCup 2026. on: June 09, 2026, 03:56:48 PM
One advice I would love to give to the African teams in this world cup the likes of Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, DRC Congo and south Africa is that they should not believe that false narratives flying around that the world cup winners will be between south American teams and African teams.
The rumours is based on the narrative that the weather is too hot for other continents to play well but these are professional footballer with massive work rate and adaptation skill to any weather especially in the biggest tournament of them all, Africa teams should just expect all teams at their best.
One advice I will give is that we watching the World Cup have to be prepared for what is coming. It is going to be boring if the US keep making it difficult for people who have come to watch the game. Regarding the hot water, it wont be an issue for African footballers. We will watch the World Cup of chaos trust me. If care is not taken, inside the field we will see FBI, SWAT coming to take someone out. Expect drama, enough drama.

Every few hour it is about fans getting denied, players denied, officials denied. Like fr whats going on.
That's US for you. You wouldn't expect nothing than such drama being displayed. I trust the US to do the unspeakable thing on match days. The mistake FIFA made was taking the World Cup to US soil. They would have thought of that, for the US to make it difficult for football lovers to come to their country to enjoy the World Cup.

The FIFA president can't speak about this ill treatment being inflicted on football fans because the US is hosting the World Cup. If it is another nation that is doing the exact thing the US is doing, the FIFA president would have intervened.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 10 Africa Teams at the World Cup 2026, Who Carries the Flag? on: June 08, 2026, 11:05:03 PM
This present World Cup winner is not really about how many countries were represented on a continent. It is mostly based on their performance in football has been compared to other countries they will face off against. Can they pull through their group stage, to advance to another stage because the 10 African teams, most of them won't appear at the top of their group tables. Don't be surprised to have 3-5 of the African teams qualify out of the group stage.

That being said, the hope of other African countries that didn't qualify for the World Cup relies on Morocco because of its previous performance in the last World Cup, which many Africans are drumming their support for them to perform better than they did.

Let's hope for another semi finals for Morocco to occur again other than that, to reach the finals, not to mention lifting the World Cup which is not feasible.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been accumulating Bitcoin right now or still you have a question? on: June 08, 2026, 10:40:10 PM
The very problem is that people will never cease to procrastinate. They prolong things when it feels overdue for them to take action. They won't like to take action immediately, instead they will find a reason or give an excuse for what they thought would happen next in the market.

I'm a victim of such an attitude in the past, I know how hard it took for me to break free from giving unnecessary excuses when I should have learned to take action when needed, to invest in Bitcoin through DCA strategy.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to introduce your spouse into gambling. on: June 08, 2026, 10:22:09 PM
If you listen to the way people reason towards gambling, you will be flabbergasted by the words that come out of their mouths. Let your friend go ahead and introduce his wife to gambling, let him see how his family will be in disarray within a short time.

Your friend thinks gambling is a family business you can employ your spouse to join you for better profits ahead. Maybe he hasn't experienced the shocking part of gambling that's why. He thinks the winning he is having will last for a long time that's why. The sooner or later he will have the shock of his life from gambling. Advise him to apply wisdom as he gamble with little money not big money
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who deserves the title ‘parent’ on: June 07, 2026, 11:59:58 PM
I think this is very wrong for parents to leave and abandon their children at an early stage of their age, only for them to appear when the child has grown up under the care of another parent who took care of them from when they were little to the time they become mature.

A parent who doesn't support their child when the child is growing up shouldn't appear to act as if they are the father or mother of the child because everyone has taken the same action on the abandoned child, would they still come around to claim to be the father or mother of that child as they have grown without anyone's care? I feel this is very wrong to appear because the child who was abandoned has grown to be successful
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The computer/ phone sees every thing on its screen on: June 07, 2026, 11:40:09 PM
I mean by that
Who does guarantee that Microsoft , apple, google.. don't steal our secret phrases???
Steal it and send it to whom? When if that should be done, it needs a "command(send)'' to permit such action. And such action orchestrated by you not the gadget you have at hand. As we have had it done this way, type and enter the send, not the gadget to do that by itself as a robot.
18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do you think Bitcoin opportunities Are Already Gone ? on: June 07, 2026, 11:30:03 PM
Bitcoin opportunities to be profitable keep presenting themselves for one to invest and make profits in the long run. Anyone who still thinks the price of Bitcoin serves as a hindrance for them not to invest in Bitcoin, hasn't known or studied the price history of Bitcoin which has increased over time. They are just looking at the present time price not the future price of it, to soar more than expected
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you see gambling as investment, you will keep losing. on: June 06, 2026, 11:14:19 PM
How do you handle your gambling? You see it as investment or entertainment?
Those gamblers who think of gambling as an investment, how much money have they recorded that they have profited from gambling? They can't tell, instead losses they will mention.

Won't it be, any adventurous investment that is not of benefit to you, is it the right step to quit it? If can't, why can't you find another strategy to gamble with little money to save yourself from the losses accumulated from what you thought gambling was an investment?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I see this downward behavior of the Bitcoin market as a good possibility. on: June 06, 2026, 10:45:46 PM
The green signal that you have gotten from your father is it to invest with his money? Make sure you don't invest with the amount that your father can't let go of for a while in Bitcoin investment because he is running a business in cattle rearing and he needs money for turnover for the buying and selling of cows.

I want you to remove the idea of buying Bitcoin continuously if you don't want to ruin your father's business. You can talk to your father to give you some money to invest in Bitcoin, not to think of making use of his money to invest in Bitcoin always because you think of it to give long term profits. Things are not done that way
