5  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler's fallacy, does it exist? on: March 26, 2015, 03:03:24 AM

Any strategy is risky in luck based games. What was your original deposit that helped you earn 10 BTC?

I made about 50X of my deposit  Grin

So my principal was about 0.2btc, it happened 1 year ago.

And this strategy is a gamble guru taught me, he earned XXX btc from dice.  Grin   You can try it  Cheesy

In general, we can see some guys get 10 or more loss streak by autobet because they don't change luck. Very sad. They should use my strategy.

Rrrright...
Sounds like horse shit if you ask me....seen some of his posts here all with amounts less than 1btc lol
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 26, 2015, 03:00:53 AM

I agree. This is becoming a pain a$$.
Personally, I play at bitdice more now
7  Economy / Lending / Re: OFFERING MICROLOANS on: March 23, 2015, 10:07:22 AM
I might ask for collateral since now.
Thanks a lot!

Will only collateral loans be accepted, or will no collateral loans be served as well?

I might ask for it. Depends on the amount and reputation.
I still waitting to get repaid from several ppl, thats why...
Regards

I requested a .08 loan from Muhummad Zakir and he denied me, no collateral but interest 10% after 7 days.
Is this not possible from you, or are you able to provide it??

Just let me know, it's pretty urgent. Have hosting to pay for a bunch of sites got suspended recently
8  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 23, 2015, 09:49:04 AM
Just a quick suggestion, make the detailed list under the table alphabetical, or the original table alphabetical.

Is there any current order or is it random?
Besides Paying, scam etc
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTER has frozen withdraws Warning - I sent them BTC AFTER they reopened trusting on: March 23, 2015, 09:46:52 AM
Chinese exchanges... Maybe only Chinese should go there. Stick to exchanges which use English as the main language.

It's not because of the country in this case, as fox stated bter is a very unreliable company therefor it shouldn't be used.
I wonder why they stay online if they're continually getting "hacked". It could just be admins liquidating funds
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★ +1M bets ★ +49k BTC wagered ★ Win up to 110 BTC! on: March 23, 2015, 09:44:46 AM
a few hours ago, I saw users LB until 86, and then a few minutes later gradually decreased to 25 .its DDOS?

Maybe everyone hit the hay?
But you're probably right, there was probably an attack in a certain area therefor that countries connections were cut off from their DDOS protection. Thats the logical answer but don't take my word for it
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeBetter v1.03 - Primedice Autobetting Bot on: March 23, 2015, 09:42:47 AM
amiry is right, source code that withdraws your balance to his address at a certain point is a possibility, or steal your account.

My recommendation is until it's open source you do not use this.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long till Vod gets removed from the trust list? on: March 23, 2015, 09:28:46 AM
"He won't be removed and leave the unjustified negative trust ratings there (Admins must really like him)"  indeed he will never be removed from the default trust list. (most dangerous)

After reading all those threads of "I hate Vod" especially the MSDN thing that just happened, I guess I'll have to change my mind with Vod.

He should be removed, or notified by a moderator that he should modify his trust.

I read somewhere that the trust system is not moderated, but now I guess some changes have to be made, because someone just crossed 'its' limits.

If one disagree with another one's actions or is abusing the trust system, and that guy is in the default trust list, he can simply put a tilde before one's name to get rid of a guy from the default trust list.

And that's what happened with CITM.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok So I Just Sent £1000 of BTC to a Friend in Northern Namibia.. Now What? on: March 23, 2015, 09:06:26 AM
When I saw title of this topic I was like. Wow, another topic how bitcoin is great and how can you send money across the world with no problems now.
But after reading every post here I am now little sad. People here are just  too optimistic over bitcoin in my opinion. Bitcoin is not good choice when you have no electronic infrastructure to back it up - then bitcoin is borderline useless. To sum this story up: You can't do anything with just smartphone with shitton of bitcoin on it. No when there isn't any bitcoin service :/ Sad really.

I agree. Especially when merchants are accepting bitcoins as payment, but sooner or later they're going to exchange it back to USD, GBP or whatever fiat currency they're using.

It would be good if they can just keep that amount of BTC(As they do in banks, depositing fiat), or buy more goods with that BTC, instead of having to exchange it back to fiat everytime.
15  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 23, 2015, 08:59:06 AM
And do I enter the server hash in there? Or client hash.

Bah
There is no such thing as a client hash. There is only a server seed, server seed hash and client seed.

So for my verifier http://dicesites.com/primedice/verifier it's:

Server seed hash = "Server Seed SHA-256 Hash"
Server seed = "Server Seed Revealed"
Client seed = "Client Seed"

All under "Previous Seed Pair" at the Provably fair tab at Primedice.

You can only verify bets from your previous session. If you see the values only at "Current Seed Pair" with a high number of "Bets Made with pair", you have to "Rerandomize" and randomize your client seed to see the previous server seed. You will then see all the values go to "Previous Seed Pair" including the "Server seed" so you can verify your bets.

Last nonce = The number of bets you made (minus one.) You could remember this from the value "Bets Made with pair" before you randomized your server seed. You can also see this if you click on the details of your last bet under: "Client Seed (nonced)". In the end of that seed it will say ....7ab264-151 or something like that, so your "Last nonce" was 151. Ideally PD could list this under "Previous Seed Pair" BTW, but currently they don't.

For a better understanding of how provably fair works, I advise you to read my article at http://dicesites.com/provably-fair

Right. Sorry for being such a newb because i seriously don't gamble(rarely anyways).

Now I get it, thanks!
16  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How About This Mining Rig? on: March 23, 2015, 08:56:39 AM
I thought mining was way too unprofitable from ages ago... Although this rig looks pretty cool.

*Sigh* Who will transact our money 10 years later?
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will touch $k again ? on: March 23, 2015, 08:53:36 AM
I don't know why people get so giddy over high Bitcoin prices, I'm convinced that if it ever does reach those sorts of levels again, especially the $10,000 die hards are expecting it's going to be due to hyperinflation, in which case, I won't be selling my coins I'll be using them as currency.

There are still people out there who don't realise that high prices aren't necessarily a good thing and think that dumping their coins for valueless paper is going to get them somewhere in life.

Yep. I completely agree with you.

Bitcoin prices skyrocketing might not necessarily be a good thing, it can mean a bubble/relative price instability, or an extreme fiat hyperinflation happening. I would rather use bitcoins as a store of value, rather than an almost "HYIP" like investment.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Ban all the signature campaign on: March 23, 2015, 08:50:58 AM
Why the staff allowed to put a sig ad and after ban a lot of users because they are posting 30-40 posts per day? Isn't it better to ban all the signature campaigns?

aka

If you're genuinely annoyed by the signatures people are wearing, go to this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme

And tick the box "Don't show users' signatures".

The signature might contain useful information. This is especially true for signatures of those not participating in a campaign. E.g. BadBear and others link to their PGP key's. Hiding all signatures would also hide this information.

I like the idea of limiting certain aspects of a signature that are typcially "earned" by rank. E.g. background color, color in general, font size etc. I also am very much in favor of BadBears suggestion[1] of selective removal of certain signatures. If everyone could easily maintain a list that excludes certain signatures no one would have to be annoyed. This will certainly reduce the prices for paid signatures, but if you think about it the prices are very good anyway. Essentially you get coins for something you would do anway.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=985516.0

I am aware of that thread, however, that's all we've got for now, possibly until the new forum software comes into play.

I am aware of people putting addresses, links to PGP keys etc. etc., but right now 99% of people are wearing paid signatures(Including me, and you)
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeBetter v1.03 - Primedice Autobetting Bot on: March 23, 2015, 08:47:36 AM
This is malware/virus.
It's hosted at anonfilles, everyone scan at virus total and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I have scanned and it looks that it has no virus

https://www.virustotal.com/es/url/fef03cccab404630df3d49f0febaf70f065fd4ba7cb415622c33d5a2cabc30c5/analysis/

Those scans ain't trustworthy.

As mentioned be really careful when using something that you can't review.
Use it at your own risk.

Yep.

ok but how we can open platform, and what we can bet Smiley ?

PD?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ok So I Just Sent £1000 of BTC to a Friend in Northern Namibia.. Now What? on: March 23, 2015, 08:44:16 AM
Maybe he could use gyft to buy gift cards and use them to get the stuff he wants ordering through his phone but it depends on which shops will ship to his PO box.

He said he was trying to figure out a way to send money to his wife's parents in Namibia, did you even read the previous posts?

lol it's getting ridiculous now how people don't actually read anything properly anymore, we should call these fuckers out I think because often they end up completely derailing the thread.

Yeah.

OK, So I just sent £1000 of Bitcoin to a friend who is in Northern Namibia (just above South Africa).

He received the funds via an app on his phone - Mycelium..

The problem is we have no idea what to do now. Ideally he needs to transfer the btc to his local currency (NAD) or spend the bitcoin locally but noone there accepts bitcoin. How can we convert this money to something he can actually spend?

Thanks in advance.

No I read this first. I think you should visit some anger management classes to calm yourself as fast as possible.

Lol. Did you read the posts after that?
