Ercoin 1.0.2 has been released. This version adds support for a situation when there are no voters for the next set of validators, in which case the current set of validators is extended onto the next epoch. Since this is a pathological case, we treat it as an emergency workaround to let the chain run, expecting the normal voting process to be resumed.
All nodes need to upgrade.

Thank you, also at time the Web Wallet is offline and i can't show my amount?
The web wallet communicates with the node specified in the configuration, it doesn’t run its own node. So if that external node is down, then things like balance checking and transaction broadcasting won’t work (that of course doesn’t impact the funds).

Unfortunately, that endpoint seems to be down for some time — there is currently no DNS record for ercoin.octa.space. (The Ercoin network itself is alive).

Ercoin 1.0.1 has been released. This version fixes a bug which under some circumstances could cause old votes to reappear. Starting from the third epoch (third week of Ercoin operation), it may affect generated application hashes; nodes are encouraged to upgrade beforehand. Wallets should be unaffected.

thanks for the answer and i will try this week, you already plan a Core Wallet for Ercoin? Or you have a FAQ to connect the Web Wallet to the Mainnet? Wallets and nodes are currently separate and I don’t see it changing anytime soon — besides technical reasons, it givers users flexibility by allowing them to either run a node on their own or delegate this duty to some other entity. One public node has already been announced on the Telegram group. I agree that this should question should be covered in FAQ.

Hello, when i login at the Web Wallet (Brower wallet) and will connect always i become this message "Error communicating with server."? Check the RPC Endpoint in settings. By default it is http://localhost:26657 , which is valid if you’re running a local node. If you’re not running a local node, then you may want to connect to some external node (there is no official one). Note that the browser wallet does not perform blockchain validation itself, so it is important to choose a reliable node.

The main network is live!

To facilitate initial network connectivity, I’m going to run a public relay node. Note that it will be relay only: it will not expose an API and therefore it will not be suitable for connecting a wallet. Its address will be: f5933777f1f76e649d273f72c3945e2f51ba6ffb@relay-only.ercoin.pl:26656

Thanks, but one question befor burn. The Wallet has any security future for the burn? when i burn and the hash is false all burned tokens are lose?
Alsocommand: burn <amount>
the BLK are lose or hash with one missed charakter and the blk losed?
How is the ratio?
I’m not sure what will happen in the case of 1 missing character (in hex binary each byte is represented by 2 characters), but generally speaking, if the associated data is invalid, then expect those funds to be “lost”. If in doubt, I suggest to consider doing the following: first burn a small amount (like 3 BLK) and check that everything is ok. Then either burn the rest of what you want to burn in one burn or, if you want to be extra careful, divide this into many small burns. Speaking of the ratio, the total number of ercoins created will be 2.6 billion and the distribution will be made proportionally to the amount of blackcoins burnt. Therefore the BLK-ERN ratio will depend on the total number of BLKs burnt and it is not possible to tell it in advance.

For people interested in statistics and climate change, https://ibo.laboratorium.ee now contains a tool which allows to estimate how many tonnes of CO₂ have been saved in the two IBOs visualized (Blacknet included), in comparison to spending equivalent amount of money on electricity.
|
|
|
Over one million blackcoins were burnt during the first week of the IBO.
|
|
|
The repository of burnt-explorer now contains a synchronization script with caching of previous results. Note that burnt-explorer displays all kinds of burnt outputs, so if one wants to obtain just the IBO-relevant ones, additional filtering needs to be applied.

IBO is ongoing, transactions can be viewed on https://ibo.laboratorium.ee. There is a problem with BlackCoin More wallet creating burn transactions, but not broadcasting them. It can be resolved by setting -datacarriersize option to a higher value (150 should be sufficient). A new version of More which changes the default value is expected to be released on Monday.

I would like to propose adding Ercoin to the list. The tricky part is that the initial distribution of coins (which will be done as an Initial Burn Offering and starts at 8th of November, UTC) will be performed before the launch of the production network. Therefore Ercoin is not tradable on any exchanges yet, so obviously it doesn’t fit into the last criterion. (However participation in the IBO will be possible via buying burnt blackcoins on Bisq and also by burning blackcoins directly).
