Speculating about what would have happened if what happened had not happened is part of philosophical thinking. You are not going to reach any conclusion by understanding conclusion as something derived from a scientific reasoning process.

So I leave you to speculate about the counterfactual you propose. I prefer to focus on what is happening in the world today and what may happen in the future.

These are not speculation , These are real time observations ... Which one you think is a speculation
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 05:43:24 AM
Bitcoin has come to help and stop most of the overbearing and controlling attitudes of banks and governments to bring more equity to investments and payments. But I don't agree with most of what you have expressed above, while some are just being over-emphasised by you as the world's financial activities have been working well even without BTC. What BTC does mainly without overstressing things as you did are two and are as follows;

1. It helps against the centralization of its financial activities thereby giving more privacy and higher authority over your money/assets.
2. It lowers transactional fees to a bearest minimum.

Anything aside these will only give room for debates.

Sir you are mentioning attributes of Bitcoin, where as i posted about the characteristic features  without Bitcoin ...
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 05:23:25 AM
Bitcoin has time and again proved that it is the next big thing after Internet, the decentralization is what people required and it has given every common man the power to believe in it ...

But have you ever thought how could be the world without bitcoin ..

1)  No worldwide community would have existed for a single cause of Decentralization ,not only for Bitcoin but even to raise a voice for something like this ...

2) Govts and Banks would have taken full advantages during pandemic

3) People would have no better choice to invest apart from land, stocks or bonds

4) The excitement to grow money 10-20 folds would have not existed ...

5)  Top Business House and Influencers, such as Michael Saylor or Elon Musk would have been obsolete with just a few tweets...

6) The search for a person (Nakamoto) , was never been so much anticipated by the whole world, probably like the "Wealth of Rothschild"..

7) Countries would have no other option to trade in apart from usd or gold like before... Now they can in Bitcoin

Share your thought on this .. what do you think would have been situation if Bitcoin was not created

66  Economy / Services / Re: Which is your preferred Method to Accept Bitcoins.. on: October 18, 2022, 02:42:06 PM
IDK, but this offered choice seems a little confusing to me.
Western Union, Money Gram, and Bank transfers are payment methods. you can be paid for some development or Selling Products through WU. You can't get any satoshis using only WU, you have to give something in return. Money, goods, service, or whatever.
...

I was thinking the same, we can get bitcoins on any of those options.

And is weird for me to not see the option of "Your own bitcoin address". That's the best way to accept bitcoin, and if you are holding the private keys from then is the secure way.

The poll is confusing, maybe the idea was to ask the best way to sell your bitcoin with different payment methods. i don't know...

Your own bitcoin address is practically not possible because of a simple reason that on coinbaazar when trade happens the bitcoins will be kept as escrow , so to ensure that both buyer and seller are protected ... moreover the poll is not about only for selling , but to know how people wants to accept bitcoins for , like services , some products , and other payment gateways which work in specific countries, I mean the possibilities are endless, That's the main focus of coinbaazar , is to give people an opportunity to accept bitcoins as a payment safely and globally ...  Probably if you check its the only platform in the world with so many options to accept bitcoins ...
67  Economy / Services / Re: Which is your preferred Method to Accept Bitcoins.. on: October 18, 2022, 01:32:56 PM

I would suggest you check https://bestchange.com and select "popular" on the left side. you will get statistics on which services are used the most in reality. at least based on the traffic of about 250 different exchangers.

Sir on coinbaazar users can buy/sell bitcoins instead of getting payments in WU,MG or any other, moreover all the trades are protected by escrow , so for both buyer and seller rights are protected , and other global payment methods, so there is no bounding for anyone if they simply wanted to trade/buy/sell bitcoins with bank transfers, MoneyGram or mobile pay..

Just think of it as the marketplace for accepting bitcoin as payments, and secondly exchanging/buying/selling/trading as well ...

Let me share with you an example- Suppose you are in USA providing services for web development and anyone who wants to avail your services , you can have a global reach on coinbaazar , you create an offer for buying bitcoins , and in your currency such as USD, as the person who wants your services have to open trade with you , wherein his bitcoins will be automatically transferred to escrow, so when you complete the job and everything goes smooth , the seller of bitcoins will release you bitcoins ... In this way .. both the buyer and seller can trade freely and globally....
68  Economy / Services / Re: Which is your preferred Method to Accept Bitcoins.. on: October 18, 2022, 12:59:49 PM
I will add code / development for anything, not only blockchain or web. If one wants a tool implemented or just hire a developer for a project - why not? I don't know if this is to be one category, or two, or just an addition to web development (but since I see you have design in at least two places, I guess that you can just add one more development).

And maybe tips is another good thing. No matter what's the reason, an useful information or anything, but people just love to receive tips. It doesn't happen often, but it gives a nice feeling. I don't know if it fits any of your categories since it's not a real payment or exchange, but it may be an idea, I don't know.

Edit: I almost forgot: translations seem to be missing from your list too.

Well Thanks , Since coinbaazar is a p2p escrow marketplace , the payment methods for accepting bitcoins can be enormous, Moreover yes you can check to create your offers and if its missing , please let us know ... Though few categories in online services are already there for advertisers,

For Language Translation , the request to add it as  payment method has been send , you can check after sometime...
69  Economy / Services / Which is your preferred Method to Accept Bitcoins.. on: October 18, 2022, 12:02:13 PM
On Coinbaazar.com P2P Marketplace, one can accept Bitcoins for.. almost with all payment methods .. and suggest if your product or service is not listed .. Bitcoins for everyone

Keep Suggesting Legit Payment Methods that you can accept Bitcoins for, and you will be good to go to accept Bitcoins.. Create your offers/Ads,  opportunity to all ..

70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 14, 2022, 08:40:28 AM

It pretty much follows the American markets as I believe most of money is US sourced managed. There will be allot of bad news coming such as the housing bubble, bank failures, mass bankruptcy's, auto market crashing on repo inventory. I would expect some exchange problems as well. At best it it will trade sideways me think for 2023. Things will turn around when we run out of bad news.

I'm not compelled to put money in now to have the same amount in 9 months, I''l do other more productive things and buy in then.

Your point is valid , but when we talk of Bitcoin as a currency , do you think USA inflation and high rate of interest which increased recently, could be the only reason for influencing its price , because of its adoption worldwide, how can one country be the reason for its bear or bull market, Secondly when we look at Bitcoin adoption in various nations and using it as a payment method, its growing as a much faster pace than expected, so why we in this situation not so confident and sure about Bitcoin Bull run in recent times..
71  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 14, 2022, 02:59:36 AM
Its been nearly an year when bitcoin stopped dropping and reached to 20,000 , where it is now.. Though it sustained strongly at the time of Pandemic , where nearly half of the world crippled, economically and mentally, but looking at the current situation according to Crypto Pundits , we may not see a bull run in coming months, Where do you see Bitcoin in coming 2023,

1) Do you believe it will be at approx. same price or will it go up or down, its better if u share some insights in support of your opinion

2) Do you think due to Bitcoin , the other altcoins may lose its charm , and go nearly dead, such as BCH ..

3) Do you believe only the mass Bitcoin Adoption by more countries can bring a bull market..

4) Do u Think it has something to do with global Inflation, where even stock market is on ventilators..

Suggest your opinion , may be find some good and positive answers about Bitcoin Bull Market, which probably every trader is waiting for ,
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Calendar and Important Days on: October 11, 2022, 05:48:39 PM
What I know is that an event in the "Bitcoin Pizza Day" Calendar has become a lot of stories in the community because buying two Pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoin first then this becomes an unforgettable memory and people always celebrate this day as a sacred day in Bitcoin.
Many people always imagine that the price of Bitcoin is now but the fact is that was what someone who liked pizza did in the past.
For other Days I can't pay attention much more except Bitcoin Pizza Day, even my wife always make Pizza on that day. Cheesy

This is what is expected from a true bitcoin enthusiast.. sounds pretty amazing .. that you actually have pizza on that day … Thanks for sharing for sharing experience…

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 06, 2022, 03:55:37 PM
just choose coin from good exchanges if you don't wanna get scammed, there's reason why some coin couldn't get listed in big exchanges like binance despite can't gets listed due to not having the money to pay the listing fee it could also be caused by the fact that they didn't pass the reviews made by the big exchanges itself, so if you see coin with relatively big market capitalization and didn't get listed in famous exchanges then I think you shouldn't invest in it since the coin might be just shitcoin. therefore bigger chance of becoming scam.

IF you say choose coin from good exchanges , then possibly it means that all the 2nd tier and 3rd tier exchanges are simply befooling investors and traders , what could be the reason if the exchange list those coins as well which are listed on 1st tier exchange, then how can someone rate the coin if its good or scam..
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 05, 2022, 09:15:39 AM
Most of the new crypto coins are traded in small exchanges like Yobit, Stock Exchange, BigONE. Are these tokens safe for use, or are they a scam?

1) Have you purchased any new token which somehow been missing after a time

2) Have you observed any uncertainty in the price of token

3) The wallet is missing of those particular token and funds are missing

4) Does you find wallet of such token on any other platform apart from one which you used to buy

5) Are you able to transfer, if so, do exchanges charge high fee which could lead to a loss ..

These are some of observations related to new tokens which launched and somehow after sometime users go through these issues ..
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Crypto market maker loses $160 million in DeFi hack on: September 20, 2022, 05:12:30 PM
Just came across ,

https://techcrunch.com/2022/09/20/crypto-market-maker-wintermute-loses-160-million-in-defi-hack/

Wintermute provides liquidity on over 50 exchanges and trading platforms including Binance, Coinbase, FTX, Kraken as well as decentralized platforms Dydx and Uniswap. It’s also an active investor, having backed startups including Nomad, HashFlow and Ondo Finance.

What do you think will be the the aftermaths of this hack ,

1) Will a situation like voyager with 3 arrows happens,

2) Though the amount is small as compared to his profile, but could it lead to impact on other exchanges liquidity

3) It is what they claim as a hack amount, is it possible just to minimize panic they do not disclose the real amount..

4) Does most of the exchanges are still ignoring the real problems that crypto exchanges faces "Security"

5) What could be the fate of crypto community if this is going to happen every now and then ... as real people who are losing money is not exchanges but the small time/ mass investors ...

77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto.com mistakenly issued a customer A$10.5 million ($7.2 million) on: September 16, 2022, 10:57:18 AM
We cannot tell yet if it's a genuine mistake or not until they investigate it further because it is really questionable on how it take 7 months before they discovered the mistake. It says that some of the money are gone already. Will that also mean that most of the money are still there?

It was a huge money anyway and I think each of us will have a hard time if how we will spend it but I think if the same thing happens to me I will prefer to not withdraw the money because I know that it's not mine but there's only a mistake that happened and once I take it out I know that I will be investigated later on. This will cause me more worries. I don't want to live a life like that.

1) Whats would be your opinion if instead of fiat , it would have been a crypto transfer by mistake

78  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto.com mistakenly issued a customer A$10.5 million ($7.2 million) on: September 14, 2022, 10:41:36 AM
Due to an unfortunate typo, cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com mistakenly issued a customer A$10.5 million ($7.2 million) rather than the expected A$100 ($68), media reports say.
-snip-
Any other point apart from these, feel free to share your opinion and lets get other enlightened..
Unlike in your other posts, you forgot to add the source this time.

The original article (google search) stated that it's for a refund and most likely talking about refunded fiat funds to her bank account so Q2~4 are implausible.
For Q1, it could be since refunds are usually done by hand so a typo can occur.

BTW, those google search results are the same article fetched from "IANS", they most likely have republishing rights (do you have?)

Sir , First of all 7.8 Million is a huge amount , and if a seasoned exchange is not bothered or ignored such a transaction is hard to believe, moreover , even if its a fiat then also the person who would have received will wait for 7 months for the exchange to reclaim its money, For the reference https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/markets/cryptocurrency/crypto-com-accidentally-refunds-over-7-million-to-customer-owed-68/articleshow/93920407.cms

First of all, this is old news (2 weeks old?) and I guess that it has been already discussed (but a quick search didn't yield anything, maybe I've used wrong terms).

Second, more on-topic: a more interesting fact is not that they've made such a mistake, it can happens (it has happened to banks too iirc). The interesting fact is that they've noticed only 7 months later.
This would mean either their accountancy is a wonderfully missing thing, either they have such huge pile of money that $7M missing can go unnoticed this easy.

Thats what my point is , that a billion dollar exchange, transferred approx 8M , and it went unnoticed for nearly 7 months, moreover who is at fault , the receiver or the exchange who made this mistake and realizing after months, as the complete news suggest that exchange is dragging him to court to reclaim the amount ..

Seven months later, when the exchange finally discovered the error, but till then some of the money had already gone..

1) Do you believe its a genuine mistake

2) Are Centralized Exchanges finding newer ways to dupe money,  laundering or diverting to other sources

3) Do you think if you would have received such amount , you would have kept in the same exchange and waiting for them to realize and recover the remaining funds

4) These exchanges are doing so , because they somehow know people don't have much options and people don't try P2P Exchanges

Any other point apart from these, feel free to share your opinion and lets get other enlightened..
