302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin Will Bite the Dust" report on: June 30, 2015, 07:02:24 PM
They could be right but then there will come in a coin which is more decentralised to replace BTC. That's what i am thinking anyways: centralisation WILL kill it and in the long run the leading coin will also be the most decentral because what has this all been about in the first place? Only decentralisation gives it value in the first place. Less decentralisation means it'll become prone for DDOS which would kill it instantly. I think the issue with centralisation of mining is hugely underestimated.

Anyways: the end of bitcoin will not be the end of cryptocoins.

Looking forward to logo. This will be a pleasure to dump Smiley
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium Guild / UN-EX Discussion on: June 30, 2015, 06:40:18 PM
His 2k coins are a non-issue. He's not going to sell for a loss and if he would market would rebound quickly. I don't see why people would give in to blackmail. One does not let terrorists have their way because if you do they will have higher demands next time around. Everyone knows that.

I think closing the guild is not the correct move. Maybe let it rest for a little if people are too heated up but in the end of the day we need a place to trade our silver and gold for coins... So even if you close it PM trading will still be ongoing in one way or another so why not just leave it open?

306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Optimal Hard Fork Survival Strategies on: June 28, 2015, 02:10:03 AM
Bo, just don't give a flying. Just act like normal until shortly before the fork, buy some Litecoin and wait. When the fork comes up just dump your BTC like all the normal people for fiat and wait it out in fiat and LTC. Should be ok. No need to hold Bitcoin during that shit. Nobody will. Shit's gonna crash hard on the Gavincoin bullshit. Pretty sure. Could be the end of BTC. Why would anyone want to hold BTC during that time is beyond me. Coins will be very pletiful (not to say will 'flood the market') if Gavincoin gains traction. So just keep an eye out for the xt node count and when that hits some critical mass like 30%, 50% or 60% of the network just dump that shit and wait it out.
Flashcrash or even persistent devaluation of BTC (and appreciation of different alts in return) is pretty much done deal in case people like lemmings choose to go with the Gavinattack.
If you see a controversial fork coming up with lots of screaming, shouting, personal insults and hand waving: dump for alts and fiat like the rest of us.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the 9th digit of UNO wallet was always merely 'cosmetic'.

I could build one with cosmetic 9th digit right now but it seems pointless to have it there.

I don't think so. It was actually functional. I recall testing it and being amazed it really worked. Blockexplorer and txs were able to handle other number than zero on 9th place and did actually work as far as i remember. So, no, to my remembering was not just cosmetic but an actual feature.

Great to see Blazr2 back! Welcome back Maestro! Also great to maybe get the 9th digit back  Smiley

nanoprobe is buying  Grin
Not a chance. Dumped what I had a long time ago. Might as well face reality. IMHO this coin, as it stands, has no future.

Then GTFO of this thread, sucker.

I'm missing the unique 9th digit of the Uno. It has only 8 now and that sucks. Where is Blazr2?! We need someone with a plan!
Sorry, ur missing huh?

Uno used to be devisible 9 digits, not only 8 like all the other coins.

1 Blazr was 0.000000001
Now it's only 0.00000001

Possibly that's even what caused the fork? Are we stuck now with 8 digits because the explorer also only shows 8 now?

Ok guys, i think the bottom was in at 92.  Cool

told you  Grin

Someone has been building up a MASSIVE stash of XJO.. look at the rich list.

Maybe he knows the same as i did: bottom was in  Wink

Joulecoin never again so cheap.

It's market cap is soooo small though... We need to make something that you can do with XJO.

It would be pretty cool to make a decentralized gambling site.

More services and features is always a good idea.

Great news! Thanks Cryptopia!  Smiley

Tradevolume for Uno is up this week on cryptopia. The LTC/UNO market looks good too.

Haven't seen the cryptonaire for quite a while. Wonder what he is doing. Cryptonaire, are you still out there?  Smiley
Leave us a comment, mate so we know how you're doing.

Yeah I was kinda sure most users just load up the prebuilt stuff. If I ever get a separate box to do gitian builds on I might be able to make some tweaks.

I like seeing the flask instead of the yellow icon though. One day when I am bored I may try and make it all look sexier:

Sounds great.  Smiley

The general consensus regarding the UI here is correct however, a few tweaks could be made for those that use a GUI. I use cli and/or a node wallet so it isn't a deal breaker for me.

It's just a cosmetic thing and not that urgent but would be nice to get fixed.

Also majority said 'black or blue logo' and it's yellow now.
If those yellow-fetishists want yellow at all costs they could at least provide an alternative wallet for people with a black/blue thing. Shouldn't be a big issue.

This isn't an option for those using prebuilt binaries, but you can put whatever icons you like in the /src/qt/res/icons/ then rebuild. I hated the yellow icon so I used the green flask instead (for the rare occasion I use QT).

I think 99% of endusers use prebuilt binaries.

Would be great if we could leave Uno as it is currently because it's pretty perfect now and will rise now very easy if you just leave it alone with this uncalled for shit. Jeezuz  Roll Eyes

As people are starting to realize in the BTC world: "If it isn't broke, why fix it?"

That's right. Rule of complex systems! Totally not a stupid rule to embrace for a moneyapplication with real money on the line.
This isn't Tetris afterall!
