If bitcoin keeps falling soon it won't be enough to just hold BTC. Every holder will have to buy a miner and make it work at home. Because falling under $ 17 000 will force many miners to turn off their equipment. Those who mine with S17 and pay $0.1 per kilowatt lose $1.2 every day if 1 BTC costs $ 20 000.
Oh my God... I just had this terrible thought... This could lead to a sort of negative feedback loop! Ahh, what could we call it... an "abysmal spinning down". No too clunky. Umm, a "deceasement loop"... nah deceasement is not a word, is it? I don't know... someone could come up with a good name for it. How have we never thought of this before? ...death spiral ? When people started talking about a death spiral in 2018 the bottom was in. This is from December 3, 2018. It's by a University professor of finance "expert". https://www.ccn.com/worthless-bitcoin-has-entered-death-spiral-finance-professor/Silly professor Only if there was some kind of automatic procedure to change the hardness of the puzzle every two weeks or so depending on the supply/demand for mining Lots of gamblers selling BTC, lots of people buying BTC meh world moves on. Fill up your bags and hunker down in about 638days all global miners will work for 10min for just BTC3.125 if my math is right about 50kg of gold is mined every 10min globally or about $3MM worth The grizzled investors mentioned in that article got it right by following your strategy and buying at $3k. with an eye on the bitcoin price and an eye on the calendar, grizzled investors can offer a brief reply: “We’ll see.”

OT: Oh look, another WEF conspiracy theory becomes reality.
People already eat snails and sea "bugs" like shrimp. They eat filter feeders like crayfish and mussels, which feed on the dirtiest, nastiest shit ever. Are land bugs that much worse though? The problem is that the food industry has an allowed "earthen" percentage for shit like cockroaches and rats and now that they are allowed a certain amount they have decided to use that for profits rather than the tolerance that was gifted to them. exactly! we probably eat some insects inadvertently, but I surely don't want to have an insect "dish". We already eat food coloring made from insects, the food manufacturers just keep quiet about it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43786055If you are horrified by the thought of eating insects, the bad news is that you have probably done so many, many times.
This is because one of the most widely used red food colourings - carmine - is made from crushed up bugs.
The insects used to make carmine are called cochineal, and are native to Latin America where they live on cacti.
Now farmed mainly in Peru, millions of the tiny insects are harvested every year to produce the colouring.
A staple of the global food industry, carmine is added to everything from yoghurts and ice creams, to fruit pies, soft drinks, cupcakes and donuts.
It is also used extensively in the cosmetics industry and is found in many lipsticks. However, eating "crunchy critters" is a step too far for me.

Edit: Damn it, Buddy. The oracle price is just over $20k where I sit ($20,063). Went as low as about $20,275 before it started to fall back... Now $19,977 here. Sigh, edit, edit.
There's no despair without hope. Yet by definition, despair is the absence of hope! Despair can't exist without hope and at the same time it can only exist without hope. Thank god there's alcohol. And glue.

I wonder how many people will never touch BTC again after this. Is this going to be one of those things like the great depression where it is ingrained in the population living it at the time. How many people who sold out from the 2017 crash ended up buying again for this cycle? Would be interesting to know.
If their are whales doing this selling in an effort to accrue more coins or something stupid, there is a good chance that they may kill sentiment for a very long time. Even if the Fed goes bananas with the printing press again.
Don't you remember early 2015 when it crashed from $300 to $150 in about half a day? That was worse than this, and it didn't put people off. By about November 2015 it was back up to $500.

The next 24 hours are critical.. .....
No, not for bitcoin. idgaf about that. For me ...I'm going to the amusement park with my daughter and I hate roller coasters. No worries though, she hates them too, but we can handle that log flume thing where you get soaked and buy the pic they snap of you screaming and looking terrified. I got 2 of them so far of us from 2 different years. Number 3 coming up. That's priceless.
Don't drink anything fizzy, like cola or beer. I made that mistake and threw up once.

There's enough fundamental and technical reasons why many think $20K was the bottom.
[...] so I stick with 15-17k as bottom. ooooh a bottom calling contest! 19k usd. yup. thats it. called it. cuz reasons. Will it be a big bottom or a little bottom? won't be a v more like |__________ \_______________/ So one buttock bigger than the other one then?

So I sold my btc off and bumped my btc up the next day. I have 46% more btc today than sunday.
I have cash ready if we go lower.
I will do a buy when we go under 20k which should be tonight.
After fed does .75 percent jump on weds we will rally
but if fed only does .5 we will crash more.
Mostly issue is we are locked in with stocks at the moment.
You do realize it's a full moon today, and bitcoin crashed. Was the crash because we are locked in with stocks, because of the full moon, or because Honey Badger doesn't give a fuck? Thats a sexy(errmmmm? good looking? .....lets go with "cool") honey badger. #NoBestiality Some people are getting emotional support honey badgers now. I want one!!!! Then again I want all of the animals..... I would have a harem (ermmmmm? entourage? herd? family? ) of animals.... raccoons, honey badgers, cats, dogs, horses, beefs cows, squirrels... ah man, the list would be too long. I wanna buy Epstein island and turn it into a zoo.... and live like like doctor Doolittle...... #NoBestiality You might find the honey badger starts fighting with the lions.

Near the top of bull markets, the MSM and the "expert analysts" will all give you 1000+ reasons why the markets are going much higher. The uber bullishness hopium is off the charts.
One of the great things that modern media has done is show that "experts" presented to you through mass media are often very little different from some dude who just turned on their webcam and started talking on YouTube. And in some cases, vastly less qualified. Not always. Look at all this guy's qualifications. He's an EXPERT. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_T._WilliamsBachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration
