Crypto is the real financial freedom there is that is why crypto will have a longer life than many technologies to ever come after, I'm grateful for being a part of this crypto world since 2016 so far my life has improved a lot and will keep improving, I will never give up.

Small unknown projects needs to make themselves known before I invest any money in them, I've lost too much money to new projects and I don't want such to repeat itself, every new project must pass auditing and show real faces of developers behind their project or else it will be hard to trust.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A painful loss

I lost 430$ to a metaverse scam project yesterday, the project looks a lot like a professional job to me, everything was so detailed that you can't easily smell any rug pull, here is the project's website https://markmeta.finance/ but unfortunately it's a scam project, you can buy but you can't sell so here are what I find out 1. The price of this token kept surging and surging, there was no retrace or whatsoever which to me is a red flag, the whole chart was a straight line aiming for the moon. 2. Telegram channel was restricted, no one can make comments or send messages, another red flag that I don't get suspicious over It's too late already but hope someone learn one or two lessons from this

Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be mindful when making transactions on PC

One can never be too careful to the point of paranoia. I also make it a point of duty to check the first three or four alphabets in the address I'm sending to, then the middle and end alphabets. I try as much as I can never to be in a hurry while on a financial transaction. With cryptos, I triple check. No hurry in life. Going forward, I think people should restrict links they click for a lot of these malware come from sites we visit, especially porn sites.
I tend to agree, but really it should be balanced. I've had this issue myself where I tend to look at things from a paranoid perspective, but then it isn't always rational to look at things that way. It usually means you're doing additional steps when it really isn't needed. Personally, I recommend everyone picks a certain threat model (i.e personally defined strictness), and stick to it strictly. I'm curious why we don't have such with mobile phones since we also have clipboards with phones.
I find it mind boggling that Android hasn't implemented a permission based system for accessing the clipboard, because it already has the fundamentals there. Especially, when a clipboard could be considered on of the biggest security flaws that users will fall victim to. I think such malicious trick is possible on mobile phones by downloading a third-party keyboard, they always ask for some access that you don't want to accept, I find such keyboards unsafe to use.

Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign earnings and monthly income.
|
on: February 14, 2022, 05:16:32 PM

There are too many factors to be worried about, I think it's not worth the risk.
1. Signature campaigns comes and goes 2. They don't have equal payouts, very few are high and many are low. 3. Most won't keep to their promises, they will fail to pay up. 4. Most bounties pays a month or more after the campaign ends. 5. Too many scam projects. 6. Many good projects don't use bounties for advertising their projects anymore. 7. Imagine you wake up one day and this website is no more.
Too many reasons not to rely on counties, a job in the real world is more reliable.

Now it has come to my attention that audits are nothing, they are nothing but mere reviewers, don't go around thinking that a verification as been passed through these audit platforms they are not reliable... From now on erase them from your minds.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron could be next doge or ada?

Tron have been left behind in a very long time now, how many new projects now are using Tron smart contract? 99% of new projects are using BSC and ETH chain instead, Tron TRC20 smart contract sucks only because of the Tron Dev who pretend to handle Tron network as a decentralized network unfortunately it's more like centralised network.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing
|
on: February 09, 2022, 12:42:47 PM

If the value of BNB keeps growing up the gas fee will increase that's what I've noticed myself, now that BNB is back to 400$ area the gas fee have also decreased too I guess that's the way things work in crypto space, only coins with massive max supply have cheapest gas fees because their value isn't even close to 1$ per coin or token.

Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Open source crypto wallet

Why would a centralised platform goes open source? They won't be able to keep private keys and some secrets to themselves, do you know what open source means? Anyone can investigate them and caught them cheating or other things so it's No, Centralised platforms will never go open source on their wallet.

If you know what's good for your future you should be smart enough to add shiba in your wallet just in case, price is very much affordable today so if anything bad happens you won't lose much, shiba inu is now more than a meme coin and I'm sure it won't lose its stand many years to come, developers are determined 💯.
