I bet arlyn's only real life drawback is being a windows phone user, well, you know what they say, no1 is perfect...  Grin

What worries me is, if you are still here but not posting, I can only assume there is nothing interesting you can tell us. How can we give constructive criticism if there is nothing to criticize? (other than lack of information)

Good point, and I agree. I prefer to get everything mapped out and planned, and have asked the community to wait until we're ready - but I see your point and agree that there's merit in some form of regular update in the interim.

Quote
Those daily updates you used to do, simply saying "Dan is still coding on X, I am doing Y and Teka is doing Z" etc.

I'm not sure that a daily update is what I have in mind for the current phase we're in, but something regular enough - perhaps a weekly summary in addition to Dan's releases and news as and when things happen - would do well.

(This would be on xctalk, for the record.)

thanx for the update synechist! Dont take my silence as a bad sign, im riding XC till the very end. Cant look forward to rev3 and XC ITO! I really want to experience REV3+next BTC pump and enjoy the fireworks

Morning all

Just to let you know that we've been working behind the scenes, and are getting ready for new things. XC is entering a new phase of its development and we're very excited to kick it off - and will do so as soon as we're ready.

Some of you have a expressed concerns about our relative silence of late. While I understand your reason for this, I want to emphasise that it is not beneficial to XC for us to pour hours of resources into Bitcointalk, and at the moment we have a lot to do. I ask that you'll have the faith to allow us to get on with our work.

Till soon,

Arlyn

Really annoyed that "investors" have to be reassured every 5 minutes, like they are 5 year old kids.... But thanx fo the update nonetheless synechist

Dude all you do is whining and bitching all the time. There is a shit load of unexpected when you do research and development. If you need to be baby fed you should go invest in obligations and not in crypto. Cry baby

That is your opinion and it is not true.

Mig is spot on. You're always crying about some shit. Please develop a backbone.

Please develop critical thinking and stop fanboysm. No critical discussions seems to be accepted lately. If this goes on I will not post here anymore.

Cryptico, it's ridiculous to say that to Mr_Random. His contributions are very, very solid.

It's people who worry and complain about every little detail that makes my day a drag. You have no idea how much time it takes away from getting productive stuff done.

Unfortunately you whine a lot. It does no good to XC: it saps our energy, it creates "issues" out of nothing, and it makes the thread tedious to read.

Please just chill out, be patient, and let us do our work.

Since My contributions are not considered as solid by yourself and the community it is pointless for me to post in here anymore. thank you for letting me know. It seems I overvalued my past contributions on the thread and the project. I will not make you and the community distract anymore.

see? you didnt even keep ur promise on this reply! how do u really not see our problem Smiley ?

Cogratulations to every1 involved! Looking forward to reaping the benefits of investing in XC and blocknet in 2015  Cool

painless FUD

blocknet is an open source project, I can see coins entering/leaving long term, but the project at its core remains the same no matter how many or who participate in it.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 08, 2014, 04:15:09 PM
So because of FUD week, there are approximately 950-1000 BTC sold for blocks out there, out of the potential 2500BTC in announcement.

Our blocks are way more valued than they would have been  Cool
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 08, 2014, 02:55:49 PM

Thank you everyone, what an effort by all those involved.

Hats off to Coingateway, they really stepped up to the plate on this one - and yes the 10% discount will be sent out later today.

As for the left over blocks, they will be burnt by bittrex.

Dan

thank you Dan, so we officially good for blocknet? Can we get more updates on XC now plz    Cool
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 08, 2014, 02:19:39 PM
I'd like to congratulate the team for getting the ITO through successfully despite some shaky execution in some areas.  I still think my idea of a staggered investment would have netted more BTC but I'm glad we are through the crucible and on to development.  Even I grew a little shaky through the FUD storm but I held on to every XC coin I have and am glad I did.  Even picked up some extras cashing out off the DRK spike.

Now...  I am resting easy.

good job holding and making a profit out of all this crisis!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 07, 2014, 06:21:54 PM
Hi everyone

A development you’ll be glad to hear about:

During the initial days of the ITO, some of the BLOCK held at CoinGateway were inadvertently locked and weren’t able to be sold. (You’ll see this reflected in their transaction history: the total BLOCK sold was significantly lower than the amount supplied.)

Given that their being locked unfairly limited the number of coins investors were able to trade for BLOCK, CoinGateway will now make the additional BLOCK available for purchase.

Blocknet tokens will be available on CoinGateway until 8am GMT tomorrow (~14 hours from now), when the Bittrex buyback period ends.

to buy with bitcoin or alts?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 07, 2014, 12:29:35 PM
Ah. I hadn't seen that. Thanks for the link.

Reading the text of that, my understanding is that the ITO has already ended unsuccessfully and that refunds are taking place in the form of a buy-wall for people to return their coin into.

Yes? No?

I thought it was supposed to end nearly TWO DAYS AGO.

If the target of 850 was reached at that time, BLOCKNET should be good to go. If the target of 850 was not reached at that time, the whole thing should be off and people should have BEEN refunded by now.

What did I miss?

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203325664-BlockNet-ITO-What-happened-and-next-steps-

No, it hasnt failed. A wall has been set up for dumpers to dump, if that doesnt exceed a certain point were 850BTC cannot be maintained for the team, then blocknet wont go through. For now we r good.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 07, 2014, 11:58:35 AM
lesson for xc inc. ito

Indeed no more exchanges please..let's bring to the world the first decentralised exchange

that is a good suggestion idd, there just was way lots of drama with all these exchanges

btw im sry, why is bittrex still running? I thought it was supposed to end 2 hours ago?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 07, 2014, 05:50:07 AM

xc forum down for some maintenance I guess?

No comment for shadowcoin+DKR merge, XC is way ahead in that regard as well. I mean seriously, how long before every1 realizes just how forward ahead XC team thinks/plans/delivers ?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 05, 2014, 06:52:34 PM
This has become, by far, the most POINTLESS announcement thread of all time.

Why is there basically NO information in the OP?  Not even a link to the shitty website...
Still no running total of BTC invested for people to see...

And, best of all, 177 pages of bullshit to read through to find the little information that is actually out there.

You guys have some serious work to do.  Time to get back on track already.

The OP will be updated asap.

In the meantime I encourage you to exercise some sympathetic patience for the team. I've barely slept in the past week. There's been a lot to do.

Patience?  When the ICO is about to end and you have little information readily available to encourage investors?  The only thing I see you doing is fighting FUD.  Delete the shit, stop arguing with every troll, and work on something that matters.

like thats his fault. imagine him beeing silent on the matter or like you suggest just delete it. this ico would be done cause people would start to believe the fud. he really can't do no right no matter what. everybody knows better. this campaign had and has to be adressed and its a fulltime job alone that couldn't be expected in that dimension. complaining is easy, whats the last time you started a project like that? he does a great job given the circumstances.

Great, then maybe they should take some of that BTC they're sitting on and hire someone to handle the information people actually care about.

like they could have expected the FUD campaign of the century.

Well, what's the point of keeping the thread open when there's no info to read anyways?

My point is, spend time on the information people care about.  Find someone to delete the BS and another person to relay the real info.

Koontas, you are absolutely right, and thats exactly what I have been communicating to the team the past 3 months.

BUT your phrasing is NOT helping at all. You could pass your point in a much more constructive and sympathetic manner. Imagine for a second that synechist, or the team for that matter, DONT have anything else to work on. Now read through ALL those 177 pages. Now try actually engaging in conversation with every single user, with the good 20% being paid FUDers. Dizzy yet? So plz, do sympathize with the team efforts.

*mxxx doing great work as well providing help
