Good volume today Smiley

How is the contact with the VC firms going team? Can you give an update ?

Cheers

Hi,

yes good volume. I catched 50k yesterday so thats off the market ;-)

About VC: when things come to that we have to be very careful what to say. Every letter we type can be seen as a "yes there is a VC" or "no VC ever". I can say that we are in contact with a few VC's and one actually received our investment proposal. They are screening it as we speak and watching us closely. A director of KPMG is helping us to create the best document there is. The chances are small that we get the investment short term though. This is mainly because the VC's want to have a working prototype to show for.

Thats why we are pushing for the delivery on DIONS. When we deliver DIONS (yes we will), then we have a few services / companies waiting to jump in on connecting. One of them is www.spinnit.nl (not yet a fully working website - and in Dutch) They will launch an app soon where people can sell and buy stuff in their social network. It can also be integrated into webshops (thats the easy explanation). They want to have their own Digital Currency and want to use our chain for that. Also possibly store extra data in it.

So, after we connect the first service, then its an easy sell for us as you can imagine. The talks will continue and we are very sure they will jump in when they see the time is right. We are also looking to registering I/O Digital as a company soon.

Next to this we are having a lot of attention in the FinTech media. Like the European Fintech awards and the Benzinga Fintech awards. Also getting interviews for magazines these days.

So a lot going on behind the scenes! I am very proud on what we have achieved so far and are confident I/O Digital will get the investment needed and the place in the top 5 Blockchain companies in the world. This is what we aim for!

Joel will update you on the development soon.

Cheers
Richard

Thanks a lot for the update! Sounds very good, exciting times ahead. You guys are doing an awesome job, holding strong!

I'd like to point out a small error on the iocoin webpage. Under "management" you see Richard, Sam and Joel. Under Joel's description you see "Joel founded I/O Coin July 2015" Shouldn't that be July 2014 ?
I agree, it's a minor typing error but I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

Cheers,

Springfield

WOW! CHinese exchanges! If that happens this baby is about to go BOoooooooooooooom  Cheesy Cheesy

Nothing is set. So it's all ambitions, plans and future nothing substantial yet I'm afraid. In the long term sure, but for now nothing new.

Not really, Today they said.

Ok cheers for your reply, guess we'll have to be patient then Smiley

January 13th 2016 Follow Up - DEV UPDATE

Derek has reached a consensus to streamline the final api calls to DIONS. Derek will be working on defining blocks of functionality in terms of packaged up calls to his api and how Pat can interpret this so that we can finally get the full implementation in the wallet. Derek will be writing a final proposal as clearly as possible so that we can all proceed with Pat on the final stages of the DIONS api implementation.

We will update again once we make the first commits on github,

Thanks Everyone

I/O DIGITAL DEV TEAM

Thanks Joel,

So, in plain English this means DIONS is the final step that is holding the new wallet back and once the api is implemented then the wallet will be ready?

Also, i suspect there is some good news coming regarding the VC meetings? Just looking on the exchanges, the buy support is building all the time , slow and steady and good buys are taking place, like somebody knows something Wink

Also staking is up to 42% looks like people are moving coins to wallets, which is great, more loyal holders investing.

Keep it up!

That includes me. It's the second coin for me EVER to not keep on an exchange, I was more of a trader with a sharklike attitude. I didn't want to risk left holding the bag so I wanted to be able to sell on a moments notice, so I kept all my alts on different exchanges. Stupid perhaps, but it never backfired. I just pulled all my IOC off the exchanges and I am happily staking away. The last time I did this was in May 2014  Shocked I have seen enough of both the devs here and the community to know this is going to blow everyone's socks off.

Hi is anyone else having troubles syncing QT wallet to blockchain?

No, the QT and HTML wallets work perfect. I actually installed the latest QT wallet on a friends machine yesterday (running Windows 8 ), it took around 20hrs from start to finish to fully sync, then when it was, sent coins to it which arrived super fast (under 5 seconds!) and i know they have been buying coins last night and today ad sending to wallet and are very impressed with I/O Coin, to say the least.

On the exchanges i am seeing slow build up of buy support, some real stealthy buying going on, very positive signs!

The next few weeks i can see IOC in the 7k region no problem, still a fraction of it potential value, which i expect to be in the 100k region within 12 months from now.  (write this down and thank me later!)

Very good analysis, I wholly agree. Your 12 month timeline is a bit conservative I think though Smiley

Good volume today, I think we are getting some fresh attention.
Some of that is me

Well then pardon me for mistaking you for trolling earlier. Sometimes it's hard to see nuance on this board. Apologies, but most of all welcome to our little hideout.

The distribution looks suss. There seems to be  a few holders with large amounts looking to cash in. Just look at Bittrex.

I'm guessing that early on a few people mined most of the coins, and are now hoping to get rich. Or is this wrong?

Lol and the first troll arrives!

Really excited about DIONS, been such a long, long time in development, i hope there is light at the end of the tunnel and it will soon be released.

Also, you guys are quiet on twitter, was hoping to hear some news about the VC meeting, is that still taking place?

Many thanks.

Hi,

VC meeting was last week. They are genuine interested and we are working on an investment proposal / business plan.
This not only involves the investment, but also about our mission, vision and community. A lot to think and write about.
This can take some time as you can imagine. When it is done we are asked to send it to the VC.

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard thank you for your reply.  Just one question.

On this post #2511  on the 23rd December, you guys already say you had a business plan.

"Next week i have an important conference call with a venture capitalist that is genuine interested in I/O Digital. They are known as one of the largest incubators / investors of Bitcoin / Blockchain related projects / companies. They contacted us. We have created an investment / business plan for them to consider and we are going to talk about that the next weeks.

Question: Did you decide not to use this plan or did they want you to create another one?

After talking to them we decided to enhance the plan and add more valuable and important content. Learning as we go!

cheers
Richard

Fantastic work Richard, when you are trying to catch the BIG fish, it takes time to learn what bait to use.  Lets hope the content will satisfy and the community here will have some very good news soon.

We need the developments ready and the content done asap to keep the price above 3k.

There MUST be some ETA on DIONS now, Summer? Winter 2016?  2017? 2018 ?

Also the IOC team needs to own IOC coins, you need much more than you have now, its the only way you can beat the dumpers!

As much as I like your enthusiasm in this thread, I must tell you that you are wrong in demanding an ETA for DIONS. Please let all the impatient people dump, can't you see there is manipulation going on? This might very well be the first coin that gets lifted out of the dark waters of "crypto only". It has legit, non anonymous development and genuine interest outside this board and the general crypto "community". The team should take whatever time they need to get this done right, the less weak hands holding IOC the better. Also I find it very reassuring that the team doesn't hold that much IOC themselves, enough to make it worth their while but too little to kill the coin with dumping on a rise (they wouldn't do that, but you get my point)

Patience is key. When the day comes the announcement is made that a VC company has invested in this coin you should hang on to your butt because we will have serious liftoff. I've been long enough into this game to pick winners with a certain amount of accuracy, please be patient. The team will deliver and don't fall into the manipulation trap of a few stupid bots suppressing the price on Bittrex.

Volume right now is low, so a mere .5 BTC sell will impact the price a lot percentage wise (as does a .5 btc buy) but getting worked up over 15% price increase or decrease is fruitless considering the volume. People are holding and we are under the radar, some sharks are playing newbies to con them out of their coins. Don't be a victim.

Thanks for the update Richard, truly outstanding work. This coin is like an undiscovered gem amidst the badlands of crypto. I feel safe to put money into this project.

I'm out for now, will be buying back after 6k or so. VNL will rise for sure, just not immediately like John said.

Yup same here, although my faith remains, a timeline of 6 months in crypto is very long. I'm not saying that I doubt John will pull it off, but to hold for 6 months without any significant milestones to look for short time is something I won't risk. I definitely will be buying back, but sittin this one out till February or so.

Dont be late , we are ready to fly to moon  Wink

Every time I hear "to the moon" I feel like dumping all of my coins!  It is the most over used, over abused, term I know of.  And typically when it is uttered the price inevitably drops.

I second this. Although I am bullish on VNL I urge you to stop this moon nonsense.

+1, please no repetition of "to the moon" phrases and pictures. Makes the thread look far less serious.

Exactly, except for the occasional troll this thread mostly consists of people asking good questions and other serious contributors. That whole "moon crying thing" stands out like a sore thumb.

What I really fear is, that this coin is heavily manipulated to have a price above 10,000 sat and whales are just distributing their bags among new comers in crypto trading.

I hope that it is not the case, but there is not a low probability that this is the case. That is why I am just invested with 1 btc.

You obviously don't know anything. And your subtle FUD is bad and you should feel bad. And don't say "I'm not fudding, I invested 1 BTC!" because we all know that is the new tactic of you organized fudsters, posing as invested white knights. The only manipulation of newcomers that is attempted here is done by you with your shitposting.

Well said sir, nail on the head. I can tell you've been around the block Smiley
