if we can get into cryptsy ,then nyc will get popular. i think next week nyc is in swisscex
100% agreed, imo brick and mortar is the way this coin cements itself in the market.....but Cryptsy gives the most internet exposure. especially because they only do ltc and btc which gives more value to the btc exchange, helping this off the 1 satoshi mark. prolly only a month or so away from Cryptsy. |

Call every business in NYC that already accepts bitcoin or litecoin (already understands cryptocurrency and supports decentralized digital currency) and speak to the owner/decision maker about accepting NewYorkCoin as well. In return for accepting NewYorkCoin they will receive 10,000,000 NYC - as a lottery ticket in essence. They will support NewYorkCoin. Enable their customers to support NewYorkCoin. And receive 10,000,000 NYC which if valued at just 1 penny will be worth $100,000! They simply need to post a NewYorkCoin sticker in their window, take photo of business owner standing next to photo in window and allow us to issue a press release about their business accepting NewYorkCoin. That's it!
They can limit amount they accept in NewYorkCoin to $5, $10, $20, $50 - whatever they feel comfortable with. At least until exchange rate improves and/or liquidity improves. Just a few real-world brick and mortar businesses in New York City accepting NewYorkCoin would create a BIG BUZZ and kick start demand/buying/speculation frenzy and likely send NYC/BTC into the stratasphere!
GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE WANTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR GETTING NEW YORK COIN MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND NOT JUST WAITING FOR "THE FOUNDATION" (which again is little old me!) TO MAKE EVERYTHING HAPPEN. Maybe more miners/supporters will take your lead!

Have you ever heard of the Bitcoin Pizza story? We're in the very early stages of NewYorkCoin. NewYorkCoin is ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD! Value will rise substantially from current levels when we achieve New York City business acceptance. And usage of NewYorkCoin. It's the future value of NYC - it's a lottery ticket!

Get merchant acceptance. Or get lost.
Have you reached out to, or found anyone, in New York that would be willing to spend a few days going from mom and pop to mom and pop shop and pitch nyc coin? i live in az. i have posted some things on Nyc craigslist and am trying to put the word out to local blogs. any suggestions on what a guy like me who lives cross country can do to help raise awareness? im a believer in this coin and am willing to spend my time and effort any way i can |

Obv just my opinion but My thoughts on where its at:
Airdrop is shooting for the stars by calling out celebs instead of just coin holders like you typically see, and if im a gambling man, which i am, they already had at least 1 of those locked up and not announcing it until the 4th. being a marketer also, that would be my way of doing it to attract the most attention all at once. with alts, thats the best way to take off and sustain it with big exposure, like doge did. so unless the airdrop is nothing more than a tweet on twitter somehow, july 4th, this coin will sore to new heights.
the coin the last 3 days has more volume than i believe its entire existence prior to that. bleutrade.com has blown up with nyc bids raising every day, asks being slapped every day at higher and higher levels. it is going from a few slaps above .002 doge to now being hit for .003999, and in the bunches, this isnt a small amount of coin. from 3 litoshi to 10 litoshi. someone boasted on there that they have 6 billion nyc through all of the trades he did early on and is waiting for the storm that he proposes is coming.
you have the typical penny stock style pumpers on this board but you also have a growing community which is needed for any successful altcoin.
mining hasnt really slowed down for the most part to an extreme now. sustained at about 100mh on 1 available pool for nyc mining.
the main part is we are so close to cryptsy i can taste it and being on a massive exchange like that is essentially an immediate boost to viewers of the coin, buyers of the coin, spreaders of the coin, exactly as any successful alt does.
i have a strong feeling that an update is coming on or around the 4th as well, POS as well as all wallets they have been developing.
my one true concern is the lack of updates on the status of progress. if that changes, this could be a monster fast. great idea behind it, newyorkers hate banks, tons of east coast hippies there, the breeding ground for trying new things and social acceptance of anything, did i mention hippies.
im a holder of only 100 mil but i am holding long on this one. i wont be selling in the coming pump that will happen over the next 3 weeks.

And New York is the largest financial center in the world where people are constantly working with the largest amount of money (including currency) and make real money on this.
Furthermore, even the official number of city residents and suburbs NY outnumber people in many European countries.
That is why the idea of the founders of the fund and support the NYC is promising. All brilliant - easy.

I am still mining NYC and buying.
I suggest send some small btc amount to cryptsy vote.
We need more people join to support NYC.
I think, that country coins will be popular.
NYC has really fast transactions and New York city is big and popular, so New York coin was great idea.
I can donate 0.1 BTC (for vote Cryptsy, Mintpal, some PR articles about NYC or other offers), if at least 10 people will also donate 0.05.
Maybe create some offer to accept NYC on sites, which accept btc in New York could be a good idea.

i just bought 25 votes for nyc con on cryptsy. you all should do the same. nyccoin is 6th right now and could be added sooner than expected with a big push on votes. sounding like news is coming or something so should be interesting in a couple of days. might see a lrge amount of nyccoin votes added after the 10th. www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes. getting on here would be a giant leap forward with the volume this site does. it would instantly be in front of tens of thousands of people. |

I second that!!. so what is the real amount that people think that this coin will reach, that could be/will be, do people think it might make it to the mighty, $1 just asking. or is all this talk just that talk.. and it wont get anywhere.
Profit has been saying that this coin will be worth $1 for a long time now. Apparently he has some insider info that no one else has and will give it up at the cost of 1% of your total earning with nyc through private message. At least something or other. That's what I gathered from his last post. Idk though. I do think 1 cent is do able, especially as bitcoin rises in price and people try to catch the alt coin wave once bitcoin gets out of most people's price range. I hate to burst your bubble but this coin will never come close to sniffing $1. I would be surprised if it ever reached 10 sat. the thing of this coin is, it has a good community, not big like doge. It has steady mining,...on 1 pool. It has merchant acceptance....to 3 websites. its trading heavy all of a sudden...on one website, thru only doge. Those are the "meh" parts. Good parts are, this coin is 3 months old and already has all of the above things. My main focus since the beginning is to be on cryptsy and be day traded thru btc and ltc. I truly believe you will see it moves very quickly. The one thing that has stumped me since the beginning is the buys at 1 satoshi when on the same websites, its avail for 7 litoshi, or .0015-.002 doge. Airdrop is the big ? in the whole thing. but it has more potential than people are giving it. Coming from the penny stock markets, news is everything. if the "nycfoundation" i.e. 5 dudes running the show get a single celebrity thats on that list to not only accept this but give even one endorsement, pertaining to the whole nyc story behind the idea of the coin, it will sky rocket. and by "skyrocket" i mean possible get to $.005-$.01, and i believe that will be where it would stay, and would be a great value based on the amount of coins that will be produced. Also, leading up to the airdrop, you will 100% see more and more ask slaps on all fronts at the curiosity and chance of potentially being a very successful coin. if the airdrop fails, and i mean literraly no one puts a name behind it, then this coin is doomed. to think that miners of the coin need to be marketing it for it is silly. we mine it in the hopes that getting in early on an alt coin with a lot of eyes on it, will make us wealthy. nyc coin has everything an 'above average' altcoin should have... except to be on bigger coin exchanges. bleutrade is slowly becoming a large coin exchange site but when this baby hits cryptsy, and gets the strongest running exchange on the web today, post mt gox era, thats how it all starts. it is currently in 6th on www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes from a huge cryptsypoint purchase of votes practically over night last week. it definitely has big money into already, which is always a good thing, thinking about penny stocks which alt coins basically are. i do believe this coin will get 1 celebrity to promote it and advertise it for the purpose that it was created for. then i can go to nyc for super cheap on nyc coin |

doge/nyc market is out of control and people are buying at slightly above 1 satoshi, based on doge prices. I will say i still sort of agree with that, my hope is as the airdrop gets closer, if the foundation is really pushing it, we should see it go up on the btc level slightly, but if the airdrop is a bust, we have no new merchants, and we somehow dont end up on cryptsy (nyccoin is 6th right now) by the end of next month, i will walk away from it. I doubt all of these things will be the case but with alts, you just never know. You mean you didn't get profit's insider info? I feel bad for you. NYC = $1 it's coming Huh? what you talkin bout willis? |
