to keep my arm from sticking to my desk, not for my mouse...

Time for a diet or for AC.

actually Ive lost 20 pounds in the last month and a half! that either means I'm sick and dying, or I'm healthy and exercising.

if i'm still posting on this forum in one year, its not sick and dying.
3  Economy / Goods / Re: selling celestial bodies on: July 12, 2011, 10:30:32 PM
i will sell all the mineral rights of each of these celestial bodies for .02
Granted similar race to the spot thing, if you get their first you can claim it, otherwise you dont get it.

Earths mineral rights have already been taken and are therefor property of the respective person.
This is for reals,  get your mineral rights of ALL THE PLATINUM ON ANY COMET
would you like trillions of gallons of gases?  all yours.   one cheap price.

i bought a three subject notebook just for this guys.
4  Economy / Goods / Re: Ok I am setting up a website for places selling products/services for bitcoin.. on: July 12, 2011, 12:30:14 PM
It may not be necessary to get a site of lists and a forum up and running, but to compete with other sites out there yours will need to have something special about it.
By all means you payed for it give it your best, we just want you to understand that its not a simple feat to produce something of groundbreaking proportions

have you assessed the skills you feel will be necessary to produce and support a website like this?
make a matrix of whats necessary and the skills you have, then you need to try to fill the gaps

rent a coder is a place to fill some of the programming gaps, but you need to work as a project manager, and if you want to use cheap chinese or indian labor be prepared to deal with the language barrier
9  Economy / Goods / Re: Custom clothing anyone? on: July 12, 2011, 09:02:07 AM
It sounds like there is interest,  the last couple days have been the definition of rainy season  and its kinda the suck of life outside and going to the market includes being pretty exposed.  As soon as it clears up I will get to town to find out.

When I go I will ask about suits, dress shirts, pants, pocket Tee's, etc. and provide a list of costs.

I will send the list to everyone in this thread who has shown interest.
10  Economy / Goods / Re: Custom clothing anyone? on: July 11, 2011, 11:25:01 PM
Let me run in to town and ask what prices were.
I needed an ambitious reason to go and check.

100% cotton, V-neck Pocket T-shirt, 2 and 3 XLT with logo?

fyi: the logo will most likely be the expensive part as it will involve a different company.
i bet getting something embroidered would be much cheaper
11  Economy / Goods / Custom clothing anyone? on: July 11, 2011, 08:31:58 AM
I live in rural *countryname* where a number of tailors work.   I can get custom tailored clothing for quite cheap.

I'm wondering if it would be of interest to anyone to get Shirts made for BTC.

Essentially any style of clothing, any color, fabric, whatever you want.  I could see about getting a embroidery or logos as well.
These shops put out VERY high end clothing.

I recently purchase some knockoff popular american brands and a great price and brought them in to get them fitted to my body and looking on the inside of the shirt i cant find the seam.

I'm really just testing the water to see if anyone would be interested here...
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be closed on weekends?! on: July 10, 2011, 07:09:23 AM
No. that's an absure idea. I specifically want the ability to trade 24/7.

Cash out to your wallet or dwolla account if you are nervous.

i personally think the idea of 24/7 needs to get removed from peoples heads.
this is a global thing, it will be Required to be 24 hours a day, its noon somewhere all the time.
a majority of people in the world dont recognize the rest days people get in the US.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / large sales on a bitcoin marketplace on: July 09, 2011, 02:15:15 PM
How would an ideal sale on a bitcoin marketplace go down?
if it was something like a Yacht sale.
I wouldnt want to transfer 2k btc to someone with the faith that they would produce.
noone would be around to insure my transfer went through.
the yacht owner wouldnt sign the papers and mail them to me.  the only way to handle it is in person, unless theres a multitiered transaction that included a permanently held sum of btc that could be unlocked by the purchaser by completing the requirements of the transaction or redacted into the buyers original wallet.
any way i can think it through would require a massive amount of trust in the other person.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying with BTC on: July 09, 2011, 01:15:19 PM
im an ENTJ,  i think things out, bitch about whats not the way i want it, and put up with it unless someone is willing to run with it,  then i'll try to manage it.
i probably have the worst personality type ever.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Buying with BTC on: July 09, 2011, 01:01:54 PM
It really pisses me off that there is no common marketplace.  im sick of surfing websites with 5 products each.
are there any common marketplaces?
can't a database with country prices be submitted to a website that displays the information supplied in a common format where i can search them all....
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: POLL: What's the *real* reason you ever got into Bitcoins? on: July 09, 2011, 12:19:11 PM

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best place to advertise your bitcoin store? on: July 09, 2011, 12:08:13 AM
im willing to bet targeted advertising is available on FB and Google for an acceptable amount.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: July 09, 2011, 12:02:51 AM
i really dont get it, why wont be like donate 0.000001btc to be able to post, its really gay this way

because they want to see that your active.  if a scammer can get 100 bitcoins for spending .000001 it was totally worth it.

Personally im fine with the restrictions,  you stick with reading articles and small talk or replies on topics you found interesting and your good in no time.
