V2.3.4
+ Added algorithm 'ethashb3' (RETHEREUM coin) support for NVIDIA GPUs
+ Added support for dual mining ETHASHB3/SHA512_256D_RADIANT on NVIDIA and AMD RDNA1/2/3 GPUs
+ Added gfx906 (Vega VII) binaries for algorithm 'dynex' on newer drivers (tested on 22.40.6)
+ Fixed gfx900 mining on algorithm 'dynex' broke in previous version

hello,

any chance you would be adding support for hawaii cards on rethereum.   Thanks for considering.  im ok with using older drivers if that is necessary.  problem with hive when i load newest image it wont recognize cards.  so im using a older hive to make it work on the 20.40 ocl drivers.

please, anyone know what is the best MB to mine on ZOMBIE mode?

Any mobo that have 4 PCIE gen 3 16x?
Even if you can get mobo with 4 PCIE gen 3 16x, you still need CPU that have 64 lane for getting 4x16, and that way more expensive vs gain that you can get from mining eth.

youve seen the price of the new cards right?

when one has to mortgage the house to build a gaming rig one could say the market is working as designed.  but what is the true cost.  generations of kids not able to game or have that experience because their parents already have a mortgage on the house and couldnt ever justify that cost.   really is a sad situation.  bitcoin doesnt fix this.  nor any coin.  this is human greed.  which trumps reasonable thought.

From Microsoft & Windows defender today:
Code:
Trojan:Win32/Detplock
Status: Removed
Information: This application is dangerous and runs commands from an attacker
lolMiner-v1.21\lolMiner.exe

Microsoft claims the following:
Code:
This threat is a trojan which tries to do one or all of the following:

    Download and install other malware
Use your computer for click fraud
Record your keystrokes and the sites you visit
Send information about your PC, including user names and browsing history, to a remote malicious hacker
Give a remote malicious hacker access to your PC

These things are getting ridiculous.
Microsoft is targeting miners all around for removal.

i know some of you will hate to hear this.  prolly shouldnt mine on personal pc.  make a dedicated rig that sends the coin to a 2fa protected wallet.  offline etc.  worse they can do is steal your hashrate for a brief moment until you get notification the rig is down.   i noticed recently a case with nicehash miner.  one card locked up.  leaving the other two mining.  pc wasnt accessable.  i wasnt getting rewards but the jobs kept coming to the other two cards and shares accepted only my account wasnt seeing the rig.  i had to shut it down manually to get it back rolling.  bad thing about nicehash is the program injects the mining address based on its config.  if nicehash glitches then i assume it mined to the default wallets contained within the corrosponding software,  all the joys of mining and its constant babysitting is prolly the least enjoyable part of this.  only way to balance is proper rewards.  its why this industry has so many salty players   i was one.  ton of work and no reward.  or i didnt have the means to not sell and mine for aloss.  add in hackers and all the other bs ways one can lose money.  have to have an iron stomach for this type lucrative investment.  def hardens a person and can allow one to sink into some deep lows if ya let it.

Can someone with a bit more computer savvy ness tell me why with all the resources we have in this world are  these scammers still online?   Is this the ole learn by mistakes. Keep people busy or do we Goto the heart of the issue.  Some people have an enormous amount of tolerance or the world is given too much Xanax and no one gives a f anymore.  Is this an effort to keep people busy (mods) or is it an issue that canít be solved.  Or is it that too much of the worlds narratives thrive because of these folks (keeps money flowing).  What is it that compels people to continue with these scams.  I know itís lack of accountability.  Fines arenít ever large enough to the amount scammed. So it continues basically unabated

Noob/bot accounts karma is a dish best served on a seat of nails out in the artic cold.

Makes me wonder who has all the time money resources to continually put out the narratives👀.  Truth always finds the light!

Have a stupid question but ask - GTX Titan 6Gb can mine anything at the moment?

Sure ETH
How to? Phoenix crushes after dag generation, changing options have no effect(

Have you tried lolminer, gminer, nbminer?
Didn't yet. Think they can?
Is it's cuda version (3.5) important for the process?

where you may run into trouble is the memory controllers.  that may be the bottleneck in your card.  I think 2mhs is very low considering the power that card has.  has to be some older members that can give light on running that card.

Is it possible to increase the probability of finding blocks in solo mining mode?

yes and that power is mostly in your hands.   Either the miner has to become more efficient (which at this point would be negligible) allowing more hash per gpu   or you can simply buy more graphics cards increasing your chances of block per second(hash).  Solo mining needs a ton of hash to be regular on payouts or you need to be extremely lucky.  eventually, you will hit one!  what i would do is setup test wallet which will have a low diff. mine testnet coins to make sure your setup for solo is correct.  then move to the legit wallet and wait for the payday

Good Luck
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4+ EH] Slush Pool (slushpool.com); Overt AsicBoost; World First Mining Pool on: September 05, 2020, 11:28:14 PM
On Slush the last Namecoin that was processed was at block 41647 on 2018-01-12 10:28.
According to coinmarketcap.com the highest price of Namecoin around that time was $7.93 on 2018-01-13 14:24, but a week after this the price was already below $5 and another week later it was below $4.

Yeah, they didn't live up to the promises they made about NMC. But a lot of other pools did not even offer the option to merge mine NMC. And the last time I calculated a whole year of merged mining NMC was worth as much as one day of mining Bitcoin.

I'm not even going to bother to claim my NMC, so I really don't understand why you are being so angry about it.

It's like selling something for 73.25 and then going completely bananas when you find out they gave you 73 dollars and a nickel instead of a quarter.

I was trying to go off memory about the price. even at $7 a coin to pay people now when its 40 cents a coin is a slap in the face, regardless of whether it is a nickle or a thousand bucks.

I am not angry, I am always happy Smiley - I just dont like liars. a lot of people lost money when they pulled that shell game with the huge miner with his bs firmware. they should have pulled back all they paid him and paid ot to the legitimate miners who lost out - the miner never found a single block but took the bulk of all incoming btc from those who actually did.

Be curious to see what they did with that namecoin. Itís funny and with slush history that the price fell off a cliff just after they stopped mining them.  Could be pure coincidence or they dumped the massive amount they had to have had.  Without requesting the coin.  How about just show the users what they did with it.  Curious minds would love to know.

... growth models of new technologies, networks, pyramid (ponzi) schemes, cancer tumours and pandemic spreads are identical. It's the maths of exponential growth.

It doesn't mean Internet == Cancer. Only a moron would say that. A network that provides a valuable service to participants for being connected to it is on the same spectrum as a network that provides only minimal positive benefit (or is exploitative) of it's participants (like fiat monetary systems that are enforced coercively) and on net extract value from the majority of participants.

Pyramid schemes, fiat money, bitcoin and all monetary systems are networks with a basis in a temporally-limited, subjective-value, marketable unit.

Actually I can produce all the examples your little heart desires to prove the internet is cancer.  Cancer of the mind.  Those that think they donít have to have accountability. Yes the comparison is valid

Ohh and it looks like you guys got a sympathy pump to help you pour more of your money into it. What the chart needed to be a certain way.  So the powers that control bitcoin just pump to fit whatever narrative is rolling that week.  Yes itís heavily manipulated.

Actually Iím looking at it.  There is some money to be made.  Either it dumps to oblivion or the coiling Iím seeing at the end of the all time chart looks to be set to explode.  It is what it is.  Iíve found that some people in life are just meant to work and some are just meant to exploit others to do their bidding. Iíve been trained on the former rather than the latter.  I wish you all the best of luck and prosperous further.  No matter how this scam turns out I hope you all can make a buck whilst your in it.  I lost my ass and had to pickup the PCs.  Now only to be fucked by COVID 19 and an ignorant populace.  I thought when you started your own business you were the sole reason it can be fucked up. Well nope.  Plenty of external sources via human fuckery to do that for me.   It is what it is.  What doesnít kill me makes me stronger.  Take care everyone. This should be the last thread I have followed.

Reviving this "dead'' thread again...

BETI is at a very low nuber of -2.885 (and people think that we are not are still in the bear market, lol).

Yep, my thoughts exactly ever since the March crash. We're still stuck in the post-2017 bear market range. Nothing but lower highs.

At the same time, breakouts upwards of $10.5K and $14K could bring very fast exponential upside. So there's that to consider too.

At which point should we declare that BETI is completely dead and buried?

Hard to say since it's just based on a regression model. Another bubble cycle will of course revive it. I've been saying for years that BTC's price cycles are slowing down, and I don't think the model properly accounts for it.

The slowing down. Isnít that typical of a Ponzi scheme. The slow down comes as there are no more new people to sucker into the scheme. You know this.  We donít need graphs and models to state the obvious.

Posting this just for kicks as I am bored senseless by the recent price action or a luck of such.

If the ďcash/coin shortageĒ america is experiencing doesnít fuel bitcoin what will.  As each and every narrative falls like dominos. When will reality for most set in?  This is dead in the water.  No one likes to throw salt in wounds so they just quietly sneak back into the bushes.  Such as the Homer Simpson meme

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: June 21, 2020, 04:40:04 PM
I also have too many Acorns.

The question is what is the best way forward? I think legal action is a dead end dumpster fire.

The best approach is the "this is the hand you've been dealt approach". I will outline some possible +EV possibilities.

1) Some sort of group buy action for services revolving around the most profitable/useful mining bitstream for the acorn. The developer to be paid in acorns from us.

2) Some sort of numerical accelerator application. If you recall, the original IBM PC's were sold with an empty socket for an add on numerical co-processor chip (which was as large as the CPU chip). Would an acorn plus software have any use in scene rendering applications?

3) Could a FPGA dev kit have any use for the acorn guts?

I think legal action is the best way forward.  Why keep letting these scammers get away with this shit.  The work is on fire because so many get rewarded for bad behaviour. Why let this cat go on to run his bs on the next group.  He/she needs to take the hit as well.  Here is where you have a leg to stand on.  He/she says they will not sell preorders until the board/software is tested.  Itís obvious now this was all lies.  Let us not be lazy now.  I hope I need not do the google searching for you as well.  There are plenty lawyers that will handle this case.

ď I wonít post exact per algorithm stats or performance until I can do final testing of the actual boards to be shipped with the release hardware/heatsink/thermal management pieces in place, at which point Iíll accept pre-orders. This device requires quite a bit of testing to cover the list of common GPUs, PCIe configurations, and supported algorithms. I have no desire to sell anyone anything not useful to them, or to push a board at all, let alone one based on 3D renders, prototype parts pictures, or choppy YouTube videos, so I believe this full set of data along with final product pictures and overview must be published before I will take any preorders. I am sorry if that tests your patience.Ē

Actually the easier it becomes to secure the network the lower the price per coin should be.  When it becomes this easy to make money it will crash the coin market cap. Vitalik knows damn well the repercussions of easy money.  Centralization will also be an adverse effect of staking.  It only works if a few people do it.  When it is as easy as putting money in a wallet the rewards will slowing diminish to 0   Thatís the fate of everyone of these coins.  Itís human nature that you cannot change.  If that variable stays the same(greed) then these coins see the same fate as usd has.  Being worthless.  You only get out of something the work you have put into it.  Easy come easy go.  Far too many people think they can get through life with little to no effort expended.  Again that only works if a few do it.  When we all think we can get the next guy to do it the system falls apart.  Somebody has to put in the work.  Thatís crypto.  Everyone wants that easy money with 0 work output.  Thatís never gonna work out for the betterment of anyone!

BR

Good luck with the eth scam.  Maybe one more delay. One more pump of the hope of something is coming. Lol. Talk about the boy who cried wolf.  That Vitalik with his eth 2.0 and staking.  Eventually no one believes him and moves on.  Or at least thatís the hope.  Why do we hold these scammers to such high regard is beyond my comprehension

That is true if the coin is indeed a scam, eth is far from being a scam so I disagree with you here. I did think it was a scam as well few years ago. ETH has the potential to surpass bitcoin in marketcap in the coming years, right now if eth rises 10 times what it is then it surpasses btc but btc will not stay idle, so as eth rises so btc and vice versa but pay attention, eth has a lot more potential than btc to rise, as btc rises 300%, eth does 10 times = 1000%, 3.5x more. So if btc hits 30k, eth will hit 1.3k.

Absolutely none of these coins merit existence other than bringing light to the fact we donít hold powers accountable for their actions.  We wouldnít even need this hogwash if we just had some hard justice in this world.  As it is we have a semblances of it for some and blatant disregard for justice for others.  If the rules of the game remain the same then the same fate lies for bitcoin and all of crypto.  Bitcoin can have a finite supply but when you have a thousand other coins that donít follow that rule what does it matter.  Hell we still have fiat which is being used to buy bitcoin.  So in actuality what is bitcoin worth.  No more than the fiat thatís used to buy it.  Lot of you here have a rude  awakening when you encounter the real world.  Donít be fooled for one second this will correct any of the long atanding issues we have with lack of accountability in the justice system.  Far from it. What is the plan for all of the people when crypto/tech takes their jobs.  Another virus perhaps.  Take out those less fortunate.  Jobless fucks theyíll say.  All the while knowing why it is they donít have jobs.  Tech!  Youíll have those preaching itís created thousands of jobs.  Yep gain one at the expense of ten.  Of course no one like to talk about that issue!

20  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: KanoPool kano.is lowest 0.9% fee 🐈 US,NL,NYA,OR,SG on: May 21, 2020, 02:04:45 PM
Bam!  The elusive Block has been found.  Thank you, sir, may I have another?  Cool

And what's this I read about a kano-solo pool??  Cool!  You da Man!
It will just be an account setting that can be set on a band new, unused account.
You wont be able to swap things back and forward - ever.
All the mining will be the same - same miner settings - same HIGH quality and PROPERLY managed servers.
No lost MULTIPLE blocks due to NEGLIGENCE like the Derp pools.
Same fee as the rest of the pool 0.9%
It will simply be, if you find a block and the account is flagged as solo, it's a solo reward.
KDB is of course full of up coming changes about this to separate everything - hash rate, rewards, finder type etc.

I've listed all the details in discord a few months back, and will post them here when it's ready - prolly in a few weeks.

Now back to working on this payout+dust today for all the current miners ...

For accountability sake. How will other miners know who is mining for solo and who isnít.  How do we know that solo miners only get rewarded for solo blocks and community miners get paid for work completed.  I know you have trust.  But this is a trustless environment.  Your making it so that I have to trust you donít do something nefarious if one pool has had a dryer spell over the other.  Itís obvious the incentive is there to cheat since slower blocks result in less and less miners.   I guess what Iím asking is how will users personally verify prior to blocks being found who is on what pool?   This system that is supposed to be trustless sure is relying a ton on trusting others wonít do whatís best for them.  Idk. Sorry to be that pain. Just want some things to be done right. If we are to right the ship that is the financial system one must think of all the angles one can be defrauding another!
