1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LCC] Litecoin Cash | SHA256 LTC fork @ block 1371111 | 10:1 claim ratio on: May 23, 2021, 09:09:31 PM
I have put your configuration, and nothing, I still have many connections rejected, or that do not find the route to the host...

For the cpuminer part, I have put instead of 16, I have lowered it to 8, in 16 it has taken me 3h to give me the error mentioned before, in 8, just a few minutes, now it is in 4... and it takes 2h, we will see...

I keep getting "Network is unreachable", "no route to host".... messages.
I have a list of ports to open in the router, because I don't know where else to touch.
Code:
...
2021-05-23 22:13:23 connect() to [2001:56a:7570:d300:907:3f35:d110:37bf]:62458 failed: Network is unreachable (101)

2021-05-23 22:23:46 connect() to 77.190.23.86:62458 failed after select(): No route to host (113)

About the connections, it is necessary to enable some port more, it happens to me in Linux (Ubuntu 20.04), in Win10... and MacOS 11.3.1?
Code:
sudo iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 10000 -j ACCEPT

By the way, I noticed that if I set the testnet to 0, the boot image of the application, the logo is white, if I set it to 1, it is a bee swarm, besides my wallet address is not imported ... and it does not let me import the private key, it gives me error, my wallet, works with testnet=0, not with testnet=1.

Regards

I have put 8 cores, and the load is distributed, but the total is practically the same, although it is true that using 8, the temperature is greatly reduced, about 18º less.

Although I can't get it to run for more than 3h, then for some reason, which is not registered in the log (debug.log), it closes... although the UI remains open.

I'm compiling from the sources for the RasPi4... I'll try it on that one.

Code:
$ ./cpuminer -a minotaurx -o http://127.0.0.1:23452 -O rpctest:rpctest --threads=8 --coinbase-addr=MWgutiJ12maSkwodsLoU1qgRvGL8toT3pX

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Is BSOD.pw a good pool for Peercoin (PPC) mining? on: May 06, 2021, 08:08:53 AM
Good, I've been in that pool for a couple of weeks, in shared mode, and there are hardly any daily rewards, except for a few blocks that appear... little or nothing else, but the reward I receive is far less than 1PPC.

Or do you know any better than this one?

Thank you very much Wink

So I have cgminer, it starts at startup, picks configuration from the file, background process with screen, and if it stops, it starts again.

/etc/systemd/system/cgminer.service
Code:
[Unit]
Description=cgminer
After=network.target ntp.service

[Service]
Type=forking
ExecStart=/usr/bin/screen -dmS cgminer /home/$USER/cgminer-4.9.2/cgminer --sharelog /home/$USER/cgminer.log -c /home/$USER/.cgminer/cgminer.conf
ExecStop=/usr/bin/screen -S cgminer -X quit
Restart=always

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

Code:
chmod 0644 /etc/systemd/system/cgminer.service
systemctl enable cgminer.service

Hi Mr Kano, it is feasible to use your pool, with an Antminer U3 and 2 USB ASIC from Bitfury, they give about 65Gh/s approx.

Best regards and thanks
While it is feasible, it would be somewhat pointless due to the high power it would use for the very tiny hash rate, as implied by the above post about how old they are.

To compare: e.g. a NewPac USB runs about that hash rate using only a few watts - and NewPacs use old S9 chips.

I understand, it is more like a "lottery" and experiment, than what can be obtained.
And with an Antminer S9 ... electricity cost 0.00€/kwh
I'm looking at websites like whattomine.com, and theoretically it gets about 4.7$/day (which is probably a little less...).

Thank you very much!

You expect, on average, 1 X difficulty share per X difficulty of mining.

So you expect, on average, a 3.99M difficulty share per each 3.99M difficulty of mining.

A 61GH/s miner will take, on average, (2^32)*3.99*10^6 / (61 * 10^9) seconds to mine 3.99M difficulty of shares.

Or about 58.5 hours

The current network difficulty is 20608845737768.2 = 20.6T
You got a 3.99M

So it's about 5165124 times harder than that to find a block at the moment ...
Thank you very Kano much for this information, I have looked at the log, and I see that you also have another one of 56.1M, it is the highest so far.

Code:
Accepted 4c9fb694 Diff 56.1M/304 AU3 0 pool 0

I also have to say that the pool where I am connected is to mine Peercoin, at the time of writing this post the difficulty is 2.66G.

The thing is that it takes days, and if it has found a block for which I have obtained 0.016060505080PPC, but the rest of the time ... absolutely nothing at all. (is this normal, or is there some parameter that escapes me?)

I have another one with Litecoin Cash, and it's going the same way, and the network difficulty is 97.9Mb at the time of writing this post.

Here I have obtained several of 2.81M, and the highest of 4.94M.

Yes, I have been reading the posts about problems with the power supply, problems with the chipts that stop some units from working...

in this case, it's something I can't do much about, good ventilation, it's been working right now 24h after maintenance, I'm using cgminer v.4.9.2 and it has no zombie state, the base of the U3, is cold, right now it's giving 62GHh/s with some peak of 64 and dip of 59, but the avg is 62Gh/s, this with the default parameters of 225Mhz and 775mV.

I put another power supply, the original one, it doesn't give me much confidence... it's a 12v and 10A 120W, it doesn't heat up at all, the original one after 10 minutes was very hot to the touch, The PSU I am currently using is, LEDMO brand, model JCY-12100, 12V 10A.
Link Amazon: https://www.amazon.es/LEDMO-Transformador-12v-10A-Adaptador/dp/B08DCW22ZN/

## Update ##
As you can see, it has been online for 3 days now, without zombie, what I can see, is that it has found a share of 3.99Mb, does that mean something?
It found one of 1.37Mb a few days ago, and some remuneration I have taken, nothing interesting...
Code:

2021-05-01T22:00:05 Accepted 0433b552 Diff 3.99M/304 AU3 0 pool 0

Right now it is mining alone, with the parameter "m=solo".

Good, so I got an antminer U3, new.

The source does not give me much confidence, any specific model? I have looked at amazon, models of 12v and 7.5A, but the connector of the U3, I do not know its size.

On the other hand, I have several cgminer compiled, with the --enable-icarus parameter, v4.9.0, v4.9.2 and v4.11.1 in addition to the bgfminer v5.5.0.

The first thing that I am going to do is to change the paste finishes, for a new one of quality.

Can you mine something with this and 2 USB RedFury? any altcoin SHA256 that you can get something out? or solo.ckpool.org

I am making a bot for Telegram, which notifies every hour, the status of the work my miner is doing.

As you can see, it shows the hashrate of 1h, the shares, number of workers, as well as accepted and rejected messages, I'm with the part of the % percentage of rejected messages, also tells you the times that works more a miner than another, in the capture you see the U3 in value 0 because I have it in another site for some tests.

As soon as it is ready, I will upload it to my git to share it! Happy mining

One doubt, as you see in the screenshot, I have 0.77% (.77%, I'm working on it... ) of rejected messages, of type:

"Rejected 22c4646464 Diff 7/5 BF1 x pool 0 (Stale)" and "Rejected 16f35d27 Diff 11/11 BF1 x pool 0 (Above target)".

What is the reason for these messages?
oh, and the Diff has been going down to /5, passing through /10000, /101, /23, /11...

If you were to start with ASIC mining, to begin with... maximum initial budget of 2000€ (approx $2400), which ASIC would you choose to start with?

Electricity cost 0.00€ / 0.00$, up to 3500W, then 0.14€/kwh (0.17$/kwh)

Left him all night... I have seen from the log, that he started to accept at 3 am, Spanish time.

For power consumption, the usb miner consumes hardly anything, right now it's at 67Gh/s... we'll see how long it lasts.

I still don't understand the statistics very well....
Thank you very much! Cheesy

## Update, I have made some changes, we will see how it goes....
I am using cgmienr v4.9.2 compiled with redfury and u3 (icarus) support.
Code:
./configure --enable-icarus --enable-bitfury

I have added the --suggested-diff parameter with value 128, and now it runs faster.
Is it advisable to add this parameter?
What I notice, with respect to bfgminer v5.5.0 is that the hashrate is slightly lower, with bfgminer, it was around 68Gh/s, with cgminer it's around 60Gh/s.

Hi, I've been using a couple of RedFury and an Antminer U3 for a few days now, using bfgminer v5.5.0-28.

I don't understand very well the data, this morning the whole bfgminer console was showing many messages "Accepted XXXXXXXXX BPM X Diff x/x" and now it only shows "Network difficulty changed to 23.6T (168.8E)" and many "Stratum from pool 0 detected new block".

If you look at the statistics, now it shows 0 in hashrate1m and hashrate5m, I tried to reboot and nothing.  Huh

Thanks.

Do you see it viable to leave this equipment playing the lottery... or is it completely useless?
It gives me peaks of 68Gh/s and troughs of 65Gh/s.

Rebooted and relaunched...
