That is true, but I think you need to understand as well that promoting this app right now to non-Bitcoin users is tricky, in the sense that most people will walk back to Whatsapp as soon as small bugs start occuring. I have already inivited most of my tech savvy friends, but I will wait with iniviting the the masses until it is more stable and most features are working.

Another thing. I checked how much data I have been using over the past weeks and I was quite shocked to see that Getgems almost used a gigabyte of data, while I only use it for a few small chats per day (maximum). This probably has to do with the fact that I have sent a few GIF's, but still I think this is something that should be tackled.

A lot of people have small data bundles and they won't use Getgems if it uses so much data.

Anyone else experiencing this?

What I think could be a strong asset, is that you get a notification when you receive gems, which could be related to:

- From the airdrop for your activity
- Because someone you invited joined the App
- Someone sent you Gems/Bitcoin

This notification could be just a buzz like if someone was sending you a message, but as soon as you open your wallet it starts 'raining' Gems/Bitcoin from the sky while on the side you see the number of Gems/Bitcoin you received. If you are in the App, this could just happen in the App temporary for a few seconds, afterwards everyting returns to its normal situation.

This is a bit like in Games, when you achieve a certain level or pass a tresshold and you get rewarded with tokens. People will recognize this and like this and I think it will also appeal to girls. In addition, seeing that it is raining Gems that are worth REAL money can be quite addicting.

I think yuo guys can do better, but it is an example:

A bit more of customer feedback:

- You have to do something with the secret passphrase. One of my friends forgot to write it down, was logged out automatically with an update and cannot use it anymore now. He is quite pissed off and became from a follower (he installed it because I enthused him) to an Anti-Gems person. In the past, it gave you the option to save it as a picture. I think that was a good one.
- I still encounter problems when I want to transfer Bitcoin in the App to one of my friends. It gives the message: "hi, i've sent you x Bitcoins. To receive please download the GetGems app from....". This guy just installed Gems so it should work

Furthermore I still here from people that they are experiencing bugs. I will wait a bit until these issues are solved until I start promoting this App to the moon.  

My closest friends takes these things for granted, as they all invested some money in Gems as well, so they are heavily biased. But for newcomers, things have to work flawlessly and smooth

It is true that it is not working properly yet.

- iOS users are redirected to the Google Playstore after clicking the link.
- The download goes troublesome, stating a few times that there is no internet connection while there is
- I did not manage to send Bitcoin to my iOS friends (Gems worked) as it gave them the following message: 'please download getgems to collect the xbtc'. This is weird since getgems was already installed

I am very happy that the iOS release is out, but for the moment I will not invite anyone as well. This gives currently so many problems, that people become demotivated and lose interest. Once it is working like a charm, I will start inviting like if there is no tomorrow.

I had an issue with transfering Gems from Poloniex to my in-App wallet and the wallet on Counterparty, but the transfer finally (after 2 days) succeeded.

I have seen posts about it, although I cannot remember in which page it was, but how and when is the Counterparty wallet going to be linked to your Getgems account and in-App wallet? If I transfer now the Gems that I bought recently and which are still on Poloniex to my Counterparty wallet, I guess this will be automatically linked to my in-App wallet which can be opened with the same seed? I suppose this will be activitated once the iOS version is fully released and the airdrops start? So the airdrop calculations are based on the total amount of Gems of the in-App wallet + Counterparty wallet?

Sorry for bringing this up while it has been stated somewhere in this thread already, but I cannot find it anymore.

De iOS versie zit er nu echt aan te komen. Ik denk zelf dat het nog max. 2 weken duurt. Een makkelijke manier om veel mensen over te halen om deze App te installeren is om dit proberen via je groepsapps te doen. Dus voor je sportteam, je studiegroepje, enzovoorts, laat ze zien hoe cool Gems is, stuur een download link en maak de nieuwe groep in Gems.

Als incentive zou je ook nog wat Gems mee kunnen sturen die ze kunnen incasseren wanneer ze een account aanmaken.

Ik heb zelf de afgelopen dagen nog maar wat Gems bijgekocht want ik voorzie een mooie toekomst voor deze app.

Erg leuk artikel inderdaad. Wat mij betreft is de online drugshandel een verbetering ten opzichte van de straathandel. Er zullen altijd mensen zijn die drugs willen kopen en in dat geval kan het beter online gebeuren bij betrouwbare dealers die online recensies hebben, dan op straat.

Niet losse winkels moeten Bitcoin accepteren, hele winkelcentra zouden hierop moeten focussen. Als alle winkels in een winkelcentrum Bitcoin accepteren en er is een 2-way Bitcoin ATM, dan is je winkelcentrum compleet Bitcoin proof en is dat een geweldige marketingstunt.

De exploitant van het winkelcentrum zou hier top-down op kunnen aansturen.

General question:

I bought some extra Gems on Poloniex and tried sending 100 Gems to my in-App wallet as well as 100 Gems to my account on Counterparty. Both transactions never succeeded and are still pending?

Anyone has an idea how this can be? I would like to move my Gems from Poloniex to Counterparty asap.

Question for Daniel: I remember I supported some activities before the presale of Gems was launched, like the 'proof of action campaign'. When are we supposed to receive those few free gems that was the reward for these activities?

Would it be possible to add a 'call Getgems contact' option and calling over the Telegram network?

Since Whatsapp added this function today (quite a timing btw), it would be nice to offer such a killer solution as well, besides the well known crypto and attention reward features it already boasts. I already feel the arguments of Whatsapp lovers coming: "but hey, Whatsapp just added a call option, Getgems does not have that, I stick with Whatsapp!"

Allemaal mooie features die zjin toegevoegd. Maar ik blijf met smart wachten op de iOS release, zeker nu facebook zich ook begint te mengen met een 'geld uitwisselingsfunctie' via de App. Ik weet het, dat is met debit cards, maar toch, voor jan met de pet is dat juist simpeler. Dat de veiligheidsrisico's dan juist hoger liggen begrijpt jan met de pet ook niet.

Het kan ook gewoon iemand zijn die dumpt. Ik lig er niet wakker van in ieder geval. Dat betekent dat ik eind deze maand weer meer Bitcoin kan kopen als het zo blijft

Als de koers zich hier goed van herstelt is dat extra goed voor het vertrouwen.

I see it now. I appears after typing the amount of Bitcoin/Gemz and confirming it. I got confused because in the header it said 'send to address' and I expected thus to see there an option 'QR Code' as well.

My compliments to the Gems developer team! It is really improving and the features you guys added are really an added value

Few points for improvement:

-When you click in the App on ‘send money’, only a Gems icon appears. When I click on the Gems icon, I can send Gems, but no Bitcoin. It would be nice if there would both the option ‘send Gems’, as well as ‘Send Bitcoin’.
- The QR code in the wallet is confusing with the Gems icon behind it. Is this also to receive Bitcoin? In that case, just put above the QR code: QR code to receive Gems and Bitcoin.
- If I want to pay and I want to scan a QR code, is that possible? If so, where? That would be something that should be introduced in the wallet as well, under the icon 'wallet with arrow'. There you can have multiple options of sending Gemz/Bitcoin: 'Scan QR code', 'send to address', 'send to friend in chat' or send to Facebook, Twitter, etc and wait for your friend to pick it up (while registering), just as with changetip
- If I click on the ‘wallet with arrow icon’ inside the wallet, I again only have the option to send Gemz. See last point.

For the rest, keep up the good work! I am looking forward to the iOS release
