106  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Bitcoin Savings and Trust on: June 18, 2012, 07:33:02 PM
Can someone please tell me if the today payments are out already?

I'm not a BS&T customer, but I want to buy some more PPT bonds and wonder about the risk of buying them now - overpriced, though yet before the dividends are paid.

They are going out now, I had a late start this morning. Smiley

Wow, that was one hell of a < 1min response!
107  Economy / Securities / Re: GLBSE withdraw never received. on: June 10, 2012, 02:39:54 PM
It has recently taken about 9 hours for me with sort of "bigger" ammount. I personally much prefer this if I'd have to choose between it and potentially exposed hot wallet.
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: alternative to SatoshiDice on: June 02, 2012, 05:12:22 PM
the issue with satoshi dice is it is often down. in fact, it appears to be down right now. i can only imagine how frustrating it must be if it goes down in the middle of a series of bets. the users don't know whether they will ever see their money again. is there any interest in the community to build a similar service with better uptime?

no need to reinvent the wheel however the competition seems to always be a good thing Smiley. Lets just keep pushing for ugrading the servers.
109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when will bitcoin become practical for every day people? on: June 02, 2012, 05:07:17 PM
trick question (never).

Some help could be more competition for Casascius (which is great btw. I have bought some of his coins recently & satisfied Smiley ) - which will mean lowering spreads on the psychical coins and give them bit more exchanging value - now they are more like a promotional & collection gadget.

Website seems to be down at the moment?
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you guys get into bitcoin? on: February 25, 2012, 04:53:15 PM
I wanted to send a PayPal donation to a libertarian radio/podcast, but the guy said it's evil and mentioned Bitcoin. Karma, eh?
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would you pay 1 bitcoin per year to download music legally, for a year? on: July 18, 2011, 08:45:00 PM
1-2 BTC per year at current price sounds very reasonable Smiley.

Few considerations:
- would include this kind of music http://nbm.im/20110718-5cr-99kb.jpg
- light-weighted, elegant desktop app, as Spotify (for some reason I'm not a fan of Adobe AIR)
- iPhone app would be a good bonus
