21  Economy / Trading Discussion / FX Trader? Enjoy a BitCoin Bonus on: July 31, 2011, 02:00:25 PM
I've just put some up a currency exchange offer at iWantFreeBitCoins.com

Its a pretty good deal, particularly if you're into or interested in foreign currency exchange.

The offer is for the eToro trading platform.

To complete the offer you need to:
  • Create an account (username and password) at iWantFreeBitCoins.com
  • Find the offer in the Foreign Exchange category Direct Link
  • Click through and register and account
  • Deposit a minimum of $50 USD
  • Complete at least 5 trades

And in return you'll get 3000 BitPoints (Roughly 2 BitCoins when exchanged at iWantFreeBitCoins.com)

So for about $20 (after your BitCoin bonus) you get to checkout eToro and potential make some decent cash if you know a little about FX trading.

And you get some BitCoins so you can get in on the BitCoin FX Markets as well.

Seems like a decent way to get stared in FX trading.

iWantFreeBitCoins.com is a place you can earn BitCoins by completing offers.  Most offers are free, but I've started adding some paid offers that earn alot more BitCoins.

The offers that remain are ones that have paid out.
They aren't. I did quite a bunch of those and never got any points acknowledged. Like the dating signup, 7zip, VLC, Youtube Downloader and Emule.

Free: Ares Unlimited Music & Movies
There hasn't changed much. Guess what it tries to install? Yes, ShopperReports/Questscan/Clickpotato. Also, Ares is Open Source, just like the others above which I tried before and where I got nothing for either.

Visa Credit Card
lol, no, not going there.

Free: Emule P2P Software
See my older posts, already installed that one. I clicked the link again though, and it just ends in a blank page.

It ends in a blank page because its filtering you out of the offer based on geography.

Where are you located?

The offers up do pay out.  Im not sure why they havent paid out for you.  If the offer says its open for a country that your not located in you wont be awarded for completing it.

The new offer provider has begun to be incorporated.  A few of the offers are now from them.
Wouldn't it make more sense to remove all the offers from the scammer instead of mixing them with the new provider? I still see all that adware installs; in fact, I don't see anything that looks new. But I might just have missed it.

Also, I guess I can forget the 231 points I made with your previous adware provider? Right now, all my point stats are 0. And as a side note: without something like a "pending tasks list" it's really annoying because I'd have to keep track of the tasks manually.

Some of the offers are the same from the new provider, so you wont see anything different on the front end.  I have removed a number of offers that havent been paying out at all.

The offers that remain are ones that have paid out.  The next issue becomes whether or not they are paying out for all users, and why not.  That is what the new network should solve.

If changing offer networks doesnt solve that, then I guess its the offers themselves, in which case I will remove them completely.

If you want to try the new offer provider try these offers:
Free: Ares Unlimited Music & Movies
Visa Credit Card
Free: Emule P2P Software

Let me know if/when you complete them and I'll follow it up.

If you got nothing back then maybe, but in terms of .5%, thats seems more like a misunderstanding.  I would have through .5% in BtC would be mean .5% usd worth of BtC...

maybe let the site owner know about your confusion so he can make it more precise.

OK....I finally got paid.....
Changes made Smiley Come on mate, could be a little more excited you got free bitcoins....

The new offer provider has begun to be incorporated.  A few of the offers are now from them.  They release more offers over time so I'll keep adding them.

I'm looking for more things to add.

I've seen a few sites out where you can complete simple tasks for rewards/points.  Would anyone be interested in similar things?

Tasks are usually things like comment/favorite a youtube video, like on facebook, +1 on google, or write a few 100 words on a topic.

If people want these kinds of tasks I can set them up.  It will be my own system Smiley so it should be alot more reliable than external offer operators.

Once again, over 72 hours since I requested payment from my account and still not paid out.....Looks to me like this site needs some major work.....They will not last too long treating members like this.....Over 72 hours is way to long to wait for payment of rewards.....
Receiving more BtC right now.  All outstanding payments will be made in the next hour.

I'm going to change the cashouts policy to two days a week.  Sunday and Wednesday.  That way users will know when to expect a cashout.

All the cashouts have currently come from my pocket as their is a significant delay before the offer providers payout.  I have also been working hard to find a reputable offer provider that confirm all completed offers.  "Shaving" is the term apparently, which basically means the offer provider or advertiser rips both the users and my business of by not confirming all offer completions.

The new offer apparently has a zero shaving policy, which sounds great.  Lets hope it lives up to the expectation.
29  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AUD to BTC exchange - legalities and methods? on: July 29, 2011, 05:32:40 PM
Being from Australia I've been looking into the possibility of an aussie exchange.

Unfortunately the process of setting up an FX exchange required a licence, which requires 3 years of experience.

http://www.holleynethercote.com.au/HN/Financial-Services/Provide-Foreign-Exchange-in-Australia.aspx

And from what I have read there does not appear to be any minimum amount of trading that can be done without a licence.

The other option is to insist it is not currency, but then you will need to deal with GST.

I've got PHP and Rails dev experience, if your looking for a partner.

Most of the offers are gone? wall1 wall2?
Or I cannot see them
Yea I'm in the process of switching offer providers.  Try again tomorrow and you should see new offers.
31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: iWantFreeBitcoins.com is NOT a SCAM :) (At least 5 Verified Payouts :D) on: July 29, 2011, 05:04:26 PM
They have changed the offer page.....Up until a few days ago, you could see the offers that you had completed and the status of them on each offer page but not now.....I still have several offers that I have not gotten point for completing.  Also, it looks like he is using an outside source for support on the offers that is all but impossible to get anything out of....This site is not very good at all right now.....
Im in the process of changing offer providers for exactly that reason.

The new offer provider is much bigger and has a better rep.  I've just been approved so the offers should go up in the next few hours.

I will also be setting it up so you can see which offers you have been credit for, so you can keep track.

Unfortunately some offer just dont get paid out.  I'm not sure if its the advertiser or the offer provider.  But I have users that tell me they did everything correct, yet I receive no confirmation of the offer.

Hopefully the new offer provider will see this change.
32  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Freebies? iWantFreeBitCoins.com on: July 28, 2011, 10:45:28 AM
Is it a problem to simply enter some false, made-up, name address and date of birth? *_*

What I would like to ask is why is this offer limited to only a handful of countries? I'll see how it works through proxy.
Offers are limited to certain countries by the advertisers.

Using a proxy or entering false information will results in an unconfirmed offer, which you wont receive any BTC for.

I'm looking for more offers all the time.  International offers are a priority, but unfortunately most of the offers available are for the US or UK only.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: iWantFreeBitcoins.com is NOT a SCAM :) (At least 5 Verified Payouts :D) on: July 28, 2011, 06:11:12 AM
I also have an issue with this site and have PMed the owner.  Will update upon resolution.
Yourself and 2 other users had their cashouts refunded as BitPoints.  This was because you were awarded 100x the points you should have been for completing a few offers.  The offer provider sent back the points awarded without the decimal places (when they specifically stated they would have a decimal place in their documentation) and therefore you received 100x the points you should have.

I cancelled your cashouts and returned the BitPoints to your balance so that you can cashout again in the future (with the correct amount of BitPoints).

34  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Freebies? iWantFreeBitCoins.com on: July 27, 2011, 12:46:08 PM
Unfortunately all offers I have checked started by asking my name, address and date of birth. There goes the anonimity usually associated with bitcoin (not that it's a strong anonimity, but still).

Try some of the custom offers.  The download ones shouldn't ask for any details like that.  The software is also free and good quality, VLC Player and Open Office for instance.

Most of will ask for personal details tho.  Those details couldn't in anyway be linked with the bitcoin address you receive the bit coins tho.

Ultimately is your call, only other way to get free bit coins is to mine them.

thanks for the heads up.  I was confused why I only sometimes get this fee.
36  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Freebies? iWantFreeBitCoins.com on: July 27, 2011, 12:09:25 PM
Another week and more cashouts Smiley Another 4 BtC has just been cashed out.

Enjoy the site,

Got Feedback? Issues with any offers? post in this thread and I will get on the case.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: iWantFreeBitcoins.com is a SCAM! on: July 27, 2011, 12:07:43 PM
All pending BitCoin cashouts have been processed.  Sorry for the delays, had a pretty busy weekend.  Needed to source more BitCoins.

Everything should be up to date now.

If you have completed any particular offer and not been awarded your points please PM me the details of the offer.  There isn't much I can do if the advertiser does not confirm the offer, but I can remove their offer if they are repeated not rewarded users.

All cashouts will take 24 - 72 hours due to the possibility of offer chargebacks.  If you fill out an offer with junk details you cant expect to be awarded the points, and will likely be banned by the offer provider if you continue to do so.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the support email address, its suppose to be forwarding to me personal address, but obviously something is wrong.  I try to get on skype as much as possible, during the week more often than on weekends.

Any other issues please let me know.
38  Economy / Marketplace / Re: easy way to get BTC, a 'must read' for cpu miners on: July 21, 2011, 11:38:03 AM
lol the rage.

In response to offer diversity, its tough to find offers that are open for countries outside of the US.

Try the offer walls, most of those offers are available to international users.

Otherwise move to the USA, UK or AU Smiley
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting Started with BitCoins *Freebies* on: July 20, 2011, 12:51:21 AM
Interesting site idea, but do you still have to use the annoying surveys that have around 50 pages of extra offers?

Only if you want to Smiley Otherwise we have plenty of better quality offers available, that are actually fun.  Plenty of facebook games, iphone games and other game downloads.

You can earn points by facebook liking and other stuff like that.

Check it out.

If you dont want to do surveys there are plenty of other options, just have a look around.

Yea I'm getting this also.  It also states 'The experiment you're trying to access is no longer available. Go to experiments overview'
